In
der vorliegende
Bearbeitung - erstellt
fur den Ersten Deutschen
Evangelischen Posaunentag
2008 in Leipzig - wird
der bekannte Kanon Vom
Aufgang der Sonne (EG
456) von Paul Ernst
Ruppel mit der herrlichen
Toccata von Claudio
Monteverdi kombiniert und
mundet am Ende des Werkes
in das originale
Halleluja Monteverdis.
Die Toccata mit der
Gonzaga-Fanfare ist in
den Einleitungssatzen der
Marienvesper und der Oper
L'Orfeo zu finden; das
Halleluja ist der Schluss
des Einleitungssatzes der
Marienvesper. Die
Auffuhrung mit
Blechblasern und der
Gemeinde lasst das Lob
Gottes auf beeindruckende
Weise erklingen und
stellt den Kanon in das
Licht der fruhbarocken
Klangpracht Venedigs. Die
Gemeinde kann mit
Trompeten (Chor I)
unterstutzt werden, die
nahe der jeweiligen
Kanongruppen aufgestellt
sind; der kleine
Blaserchor (Chor II)
sollte solistisch, der
grosse Blaserchor (Chor
III) chorisch besetzt
sein. Eine raumlich
getrennte Aufstellung der
Chore erhoht den Effekt
des Stuckes. Die Tuben
beider Blaserchore
spielen
posaunenchortypisch eine
Oktave tiefer die
Bassposaunenstimme.

This Negro
Spiritual was made
popular by the Golden
Gate Quartet in the
1930s. Willie T. Johnson,
the lead singer of the
group, is the father of
Kevin P. Johnson the
arranger of this version.
The composer, like his
father, uses rhythm in
exciting new ways to
deliver Negro Spirituals
to contemporary
audiences. The text of
this spiritual has been
interpreted in many
different ways over the
years. Here's a popular
interpretation of the
text. One for the little
bitty baby born, born,
born in Bethlehem: This
refers to the infant
Jesus. Two for Paul and
Silas: This verse honors
Paul and Silas who went
on many missionary
journeys to spread the
teachings of Christ.
Three for the Hebrew
children: The three
Hebrew children could be
Shadrach, Meshach and
Abednego. Four for the
four that stood at the
door: Many people
interpret the four to be
the four writers of the
Gospel books - Matthew,
Mark, Luke and John,
though this does not
explain the part about
standing at the door.
Five for the gospel
preachers: The five are
Matthew, Mark, Luke, John
and Peter. Paul is
already mentioned above,
in line two. Six for the
six that never got fixed:
Could this mean the
sinners who never change
their ways? Seven for the
seven that went up to
heaven: The seven in
heaven could be the seven
stars in Ursa Major or
the sevenfold spirit of
God or the seven early
Christian churches or the
seven stars in the right
hand of Christ mentioned
in the Revelation. Eight
for the eight that stood
at the gate: This could
refer to the eight people
who entered Noah's ark
(Noah, his wife, their
three sons and their
wives). Nine for the nine
that dressed so fine:
This could refer to the
nine orders of Angels in
heaven. Ten for the ten
commandments: This refers
to the ten commandments
given to Moses.
Performance notes: Swing
the 8th notes Djembe
drums should be played
freely with flexible
precision The rap can be
optional The ending solo
can be sung down an
octave and can be changed
to match the ability of
the soloist. Do not clap
louder than you sing If
doing choral movement on
the piece, pay attention
to detail synchronizing
movements as much as
possible. While the rap

the wealth of
Afro-Caribbean rhythms.
The first movement gives
a hymn-like expression to
the message of the text
with the tremendous

examples of the
relationship between word
and music throughout the
work. An example of this
is the passage Deposuit
potentes (He hath put
down the mighty from
their seat and hath
exalted the humble and
meek). In this passage, a
9-part canon vividly
portrays the words et
exaltavit and deposuit

Three
, two, one, action! Local
newscaster Virginia Hamm
is broadcasting live from
Mr. Pigg's famous
Barbeque Emporium where
the biggest Easter
extravaganza ever is
being performed. The
children's choir from The
Firm Foundational
Non-Denominational
Tabernacle Temple of
Glory has come to share a
great story the story of
the first Easter! But
their presentation may be
derailed by a stubborn
donkey named Duncan who
feels he should be the
center of the
performance. It takes a
gentle word from the
person with the smallest
role in the cast to
remind everyone that God
has a special part for
all of us to play, and
that every day can be
like Easter as we tell
the world about the
greatest love we'll ever
know. Overflowing with
sparkling songs, clever
dialogue, and
unmistakable spiritual
truth, Mr. Pigg is the
latest offering from
WordKidz.
Children's
music veterans Janet
McMahan and David
Huntsinger have created a
delicious mix of humor
and heart in this
25-minute work that gives
your children the
opportunity to take a
leading role in
presenting the Easter
message to your church.
This musical would also
make an ideal outreach
presentation at a local
park or mall during the
Easter season. So pull up
a chair; we're saving a
place for you at Mr.
Pigg's Barbeque
Emporium!

This
publication is a
completely revised
edition of our
five-volume guitar tutor.
In the decades since its
first edition, the
musical interests of
students and their
practice possibilities
have changed. To adapt to
this, we have partly
expanded and partly
reduced the musical and
technical material of the
tutor. We have increased
the number of recital
pieces at all levels of
difficulty,so that
students can spend longer
on a varied repertoire at
their respective level.
We have determined the
works in the volume V
which demand a more
developed technique and
musicality to extend the
repertoire of those who
wish to study further.
The transcription of lute
works has sometimes made
significant compromises
necessary. However, in
our view, it is a
significant gain that
students can get to know
a Dowland fantasy or an
early English Baroque set
of variations. This
volume comprises 44
concert pieces from the
early 17th to the 20th
centuries, 18
advanced-level studies by
Carcassi, Coste,
Giuliani, and Sor, as
well as several
advanced-level technical
exercises. Besides
original works by
Giuliani, Sor, Tarrega,
and others, it features
several transcriptions of
works by Dowland, Rameau,
J. S. Bach, and D.
Scarlatti.

The energetic
activities of three
craftsmen at a local
crafts market inspired
the composer Christian
Bouthier to write this
work in three movements.
The clockmaker gets many
curious visitors at his
stand. He patiently and
proudlyshows the
precision work of his
beautiful clocks and lets
all of them tick the
small ones and large
ones. The cooper
(barrel-maker) skillfully
puts together
fine-looking, sturdy
barrels of the best types
of wood. From afar,
youcan hear the cooper
hammering. In the final
movement, things are
hectic at the blacksmith
because the local
horse-riding society has
just arrived. Many horses
are provided with new
shoes. The experienced
blacksmith hits
thehorseshoes into the
proper shape on his anvil
- now the horses can
spiritedly trot and
gallop on the way back. A
fascinating new addition
to the concert band
repertoire.
De
energieke werkzaamheden
van drie ambachtslieden
op een plaatselijke
ambachtsmarkt
inspireerden de Belgische
componist Christian
Bouthier tot het
schrijven van The
Craftsmen, een
compositie in drie delen.
De klokkenmaker,de kuiper
(tonnenmaker) en de
hoefsmid worden
achtereenvolgens op
ludieke wijze in de
muziek
weergegeven.
Zu
The Craftsmen -
‘Die
Handwerker’ -
ließ sich Christian
Bouthier beim Bummel
über einen Markt
inspirieren, wo alte
Handwerkskünste
vorgeführt wurden. In
den drei Sätzen seiner
Komposition werden sehr
anschaulich die
Klangeindrücke in
Musik umgesetzt: das
Ticken nostalgischer
Uhren beim Uhrmacher, das
Hämmern des
Böttchers beim Bau von
Holzfässern und
schließlich das
Schlagen der Hufeisen,
bevor der Hufschmied die
Pferde beschlägt. Ein
Werk der Reihe
Flexible 5 für
eine fünfstimmig
variable Besetzung, an
dem Musiker und Publikum
ihre Freude haben
werden!
Affascinato
dall’originalit e
dallo charme di un
mercato di artigiani, per
comporre questa suite in
tre movimenti, Christian
Bouthier si è ispirato
al
“savoir-faireâ€
di tre artigiani.
All’ombra dei
platani, dinnanzi ad un
pubblico numeroso ed
appassionato, gli
artigiani eseguono e
ripetono gesti ancestrali
che danno vita a oggetti
unici. Scoprite le
tradizioni attraverso un
orologiaio, un bottaio e
un fabbro.

The
Christmas story by the
Celle-born Baroque
composer Arnold Melchior
Brunckhorst (d. 1725)
follows the account of
the Christmas story in St
Luke's Gospel. The text
is set in full in the
composition, with the
biblical text enriched in
a few arias and choruses
by the addition of free
poetry. The demands on
the musicians are
moderate; the scoring is
manageable with 2
trumpets, but at the same
time it is really
festive! Just 30 minutes
in length, the Christmas
story by Brunckhorst is
also very suitable for
performance in church
services. Score and part
available separately -
