Lorsque les parents qui souhaitent améliorer le quotidien de leur tête blonde demandent à un bon prof de batterie quel élément ils doivent privilégier en particulier, ils se montrent souvent étonnés de se voir répondre que le siège et la pédale de grosse caisse sont ni plus ni moins primordiaux. En particulier quand il sâ agit de batteries destinées aux amateurs / confirmés. Or, on nâ imagine pas à quel point lâ assise sâ avère importante, et pas uniquement pour le confort de lâ arrière-train. Lâ assise avec un grand A. Le siège incarne en effet le cÅ ur de la batterie et câ est même ce qui différencie le percussionniste du batteur, ce dernier étant obligé dâ utiliser ses pieds, et donc de travailler dès ses débuts sur la qualité de son assise. Ce terme « dâ assise » regroupe en outre la façon dont on sâ assoit (en lâ occurrence, sur une belle galette en mousse rembourrée), mais aussi la hauteur, la stabilité du trépied, sans oublier la capacité des vis de serrage à maintenir le tout, sans risque de jeu entre le filetage et le joint. Ajoutons-y la bague mémoire à vis et un empâtement important, tout est paré avec le Pearl Roadster ! Simple et très efficace. Situé au haut de la gamme des sièges avec assise de type selle, ce siège dispose dâ un revêtement confortable multicouche, dâ une vis de serrage ergonomique appelée StopLock, et de trépied double embase solide, de façon à pouvoir affiner au plus près le réglage souhaité.
