Piano,Tenor Saxophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1189996 Composed by Allesandro Marcello. Arranged by Diego Marani. Baroque,Classical,Instructional,Standards,Wedding. Score and part. 4 pages. Diego Marani #789620. Published by Diego Marani (A0.1189996). The Oboe Concerto in D minor, S D935, is an early 18th-century concerto for oboe, strings and continuo attributed to the Venetian composer Alessandro Marcello. The earliest extant manuscript containing Johann Sebastian Bach's solo keyboard arrangement of the concerto, BWV 974, dates from around 1715.Bach's keyboard version was published as an arrangement of a concerto by Antonio Vivaldi in the 19th century. In 1923 the C minor version of the oboe concerto was published as a composition by Benedetto Marcello, Alessandro's brother. In the second half of the 20th century several publications indicated Alessandro again as the composer of the piece, as it had been in its early 18th-century print, and the oboe concerto was again published in its D minor version. This easy arrangement for tenor sax with piano accompaniment of the marvelous second movement (adagio) of the concerto is suitable for any occasion.

Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.514852 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Kenneth Abeling. Baroque,Classical. 81 pages. LINCOLN MUSIC PUBLICATIONS #3668049. Published by LINCOLN MUSIC PUBLICATIONS (A0.514852). This is the complete Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 Johann Sebastian Bach transcribed for Saxophone Quartet by Kenneth Abeling. It has an optional organ part if so desired, but will work perfectly well without. Originally written for two viola da braccio, two viola da gamba, cello, bass violin and continuo, this transcription despite its difficulty may actually be accessible to more advanced non-professional quartets. It for the most part lays well on all of the instrument and once continuous lines have been dispersed to allow for some breaks. Playing Time 16:00. To view and listen to this piece in its entirety as well as hundreds of other arrangements and transcriptions by Kenneth Abeling at the lowest prices available please visit www.lincolnmusicpublications.com Preview this score on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEa4xCFqE0E

Saxophone Quintet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.764730 Composed by Benedetto Marcello (1686-1739). Arranged by James Pybus. Baroque. 53 pages. James Pybus #6096827. Published by James Pybus (A0.764730). Benedetto Marcello was born in Venice on 24 July, 1686 and died at Brescia on 24 July, 1739. Marcello's life was a strange mixture of the political and the artistic. His brother, Alessandro Marcello (24 August 1669 – 19 June 1747) was an Italian nobleman, poet, philosopher, mathematician and musician. He wrote a concerto in D minor for oboe, strings and basso continuo, perhaps his best-known work. The work is in three movements and was first published in 1716 in Amsterdam. Its worth was affirmed by Johann Sebastian Bach who transcribed it for harpsichord (BWV 974). Several editions have been published of the famous Oboe Concerto in D minor. The edition in C minor is credited to Benedetto Marcello. This arrangement is for Solo Soprano Saxophone and SATB Saxophone Quartet. Duration is 10:20. Contact me at james.pybus56@gmail.com.
