UPC: 038081523033.The third movement of Opus 34 (Three Festival Choruses), which Gustav Holst penned in 1916, was originally scored for chorus with piano, orchestra, or military band. The easily recognized melody is a nineteenth century Welsh ballad, known to most as the hymn tune St. Denio, set to the words of English poet, Clifford Bax. In 3/4, this characteristically delightful Holst theme has been freely arranged to incorporate elements of his original score with additional material included to heighten musical interest for contemporary concert bands and audiences alike. As the title implies, chimes are an integral part of this arrangement; however, there are alternate options provided in the program notes if a suitable instrument is unavailable. Kelly Middle School Band in Springdale, Arkansas, which happens to be the school where my life in band began.This is a slow, melodic piece, working to develop phrasing and musical expression. Though the flute has occasional 2 note chords, only the clarinet and trumpet have divided parts. It calls for 8 percussionists but could be played by 7 if needed (and if you have a coordinated player to jump quickly between suspended cymbal and crash cymbals). It is a depiction of the Paris Festival (Revolutionary Day) on July 14. Against the background of the first triplet, you can start to see fireworks shining in the distance. After getting closer and closer and launching it bigger, it's dizzying and colorful.It's changing to shine. Fanfare-style motifs that appear on the way are deployed in various ways, and they are magnificently reproduced at the climax at the end.And the French national anthem La Marseès concludes the song with a reverberation in the aftertaste.The whole scale and the tonic sound are skillfully combined, and the original song is very pianistic.I want to switch the tone and tempo firmly for each scene, and try to play crisp and colorful performances. Written in the style of nocturne, it is one of the most famous songs in Debussy's work. And also it is often featured as a repertoire among classical pianos as a whole.In this arrangement, while respecting the original song, bold “reharmonization†(change of chord) is applied. And further, an opening section as fade-in effect and an ending section extending the aftertaste time are added. All of them are used for creating new attractive of this song. And, I am also inspired by the title “A sentimental promenade which had been named at the time of publication in 1900-1901. There are many weak sounds throughout this song, but each phrase requires a rich expression centered on romanticism. At the same time, it is also important for the phrase to be passed down smoothly, and especially in the middle part, a flowing propulsion is required. The Terlingua Ghost Town was once the home of thousands of Mexican mercury miners. It is said that the spirits of those miners return to the Terlingua Cemetery annually during Dia de los Muertos to enjoy an evening of celebration and remembrance with their loved ones.Spirits. Red Ancho. A bowl of red. Each fall, hundreds of spirited culinary adventurers travel to the Big Bend area to extract magic and good times from dried, ruby-red chili pods.Big Bend National Park and the surrounding area is like no other place on Earth. The people who call this part of Texas home are also like no other. This piece is dedicated to all of them, past and present, and to the land they cherish.
