Bassoon,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1363834 By Franck Leblois (bassoon) and Pavel Eret (violin). By David Warin Solomons. Contemporary,Medieval. Full Performance. Duration 183. David Warin Solomons #948232. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.1363834). Instrumental duo inspired by the poem Rosa Divina by Sor Juana Inez de la Cruz (a Mexican nun and poet from the 17th century). performed by Pavel Eret and Franck LeBloisThe poem explores the mystery of the rose, which deceives us in its life and teaches us in its death. The music is written with a mediaeval feel. The mode is Dorian. Divine rose, you who are so finely cultivated with yourfragrant sweetness and magisterial purple, teaching snowy white beauty. You are the image of human architecture,in whose being nature is united. You have a happy grave and you scorn death in your pride. Then struck down, you teach us in your frailty.Your life is vain, you deceive us in your life.Your death is learnèd, you teach us in your death.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.940841 Composed by Michael D. McClish. Christian,Contemporary,Easter,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 14 pages. Michael D. McClish #6702055. Published by Michael D. McClish (A0.940841). This is an Introit and Benediction. The Introit, Rise Up, is best suited for Easter, with all the pomp and flourish, with brass quintet and timpani. The benediction, May The Road Rise To Greet You, uses the text of the Gaelic Blessing, with a few word changes, with piano accompaniment. The level for these would be intermediate or more. I maintained the grand processional style for the Introit and wrote a lighter style for the benediction. The benediction could be done anytime during the year. Several have adopted it as their standard benediction. I hope you enjoy them. I also have a version that is for organ and piano only, no brass(the organ does the brass parts, modified) in case your budget is slim.

B-Flat Trumpet,Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1260370 Composed by Tim Minchin. Arranged by Annette Butters. 21st Century,Broadway,Children,Film/TV,Musical/Show. Score and part. 4 pages. Annette Butters #853547. Published by Annette Butters (A0.1260370). For the early grade trumpeter, this version of the main theme from 'The Hammer' lies mostly within a one octave range from C-C. There is sufficient articulation to add extra challenges, also some dynamics to add some contrast. The main tune is introduced after a two bar introduction. The trumpet has the tune throughout with the exception of a couple of bars to shine with a little flourish! This is a tune that is well known and loved by children and youngsters familiar with this catchy music and should be a short and cheerful hit for school concerts or to work on in a trumpet lesson. The piano accompaniment is solid enough to guide the trumpeter, but not demanding for the pianist - so that may appeal to teachers who also need to accompany at times. Have fun!

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1040262 Composed by Mac Montgomery, Mitch Wong, and Ryan Ellis. Arranged by Barry McCormick. Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score. 12 pages. B. McCormick #645041. Published by B. McCormick (A0.1040262). About this Piano/Vocal/Guitar arrangement of “Heart of the Father†This arrangement containing a simple piano accompaniment and melody with chords of Heart of the Father by Ryan Ellis was created with the focus of ease of use in a Church setting for this modern song of worship. In the popular recording of this song Ellis uses his musicianship to change the melody slightly each verse as well as include expressive and elaborate vocal runs in numerous places through out the song. My aim was to write the melody omitting these vocal flourishes which are not as suitable for a corporate worship setting. With my many years of experience as church musician, worship leader and MD, I shaped this arrangement in a way to convey all necessary information for a modern church worship band with ease. Firstly the main Score simply has the melody and piano accompaniment. Secondly the parts are split up so the melody and accompaniment can be shared separately. The Lead, melody part, includes the chords so this part acts as a lead sheet which can be used for guitarists. I have also included the melody for Bb instruments also for bands which may have them. I have used repeats in a optimised way so that the music for each part takes up no more than 2 pages. All musicians know the frustrating limitations of music stands to hold much more than that! If you like this arrangement a also have some other arrangements of Christian worship songs and Hymns from Lead sheets to classical guitar arrangements you may also like to check out. About the Arranger, Barry McCormick I am Barry McCormick, I have an MA in music from the University of Glasgow. I am a musician, composer and arranger from Scotland. I have over 20 years experience in teaching music at a classroom and private tuition level and have taught students from early years to more mature in years. I was involved in a group using music as a means to aid mental health teaching guitar for those purposes. I now mainly focus on composing and arranging and trying to provide resources through various means for students and music educators. You can find me online You can keep up to date with me through my website and social media: Connect on inaminim.com. This is my new website where I am posting my new arrangements and compositions as well as trying to help build and collate resources that will be useful for those learning and teaching music. Marc Donatelle #1004097. Published by Marc Donatelle (A0.1422743). This classic music from 1608 Venice is adapted for string quartet. To imitate style of the period, follow the dynamics carefully and individually.Only at major cadences will the line up!The somber beginning picks up intensity, with an exiting flourish at the end.You may want to experimant with non-vibrato, and soft attacks, sounding more like a viol.I have found that people enjoy this short work very much.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1038298 Composed by Ethan R. Ray. A Cappella,Classical. Octavo. 5 pages. Ethan R. Ray #643236. Published by Ethan R. Ray (A0.1038298). A meditative, introspective, and pensive a cappella SATB written primarily for college choirs. The piece foregoes complexities and flourishes and focuses on simplicity and melody. Text: Believe when you’re gone I don’t feel my soul When you are not here And when you leave me on some shore I think of how I’ll always love you And in ways I will grieve I will cry heaven If the beauty of the day is enough to break your heart Then come back angel See that your meadows give way to the sun I’ll always love you And in ways I won’t know You may grieve me too You may grieve me in heaven.

Clarinet Choir,Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet,Contra Alto Clarinet,E-Flat Clarinet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.764956 Composed by Lori Archer Sutherland. Contemporary,Folk,Standards. 50 pages. Lori Archer Sutherland #4597193. Published by Lori Archer Sutherland (A0.764956). For clarinet choir (Eb, 4 Bb, Alto, Bass, Eb Contra, Bb Contra. Alternate Bb parts included for Eb and Alto. Basset horn part included (doubles Alto)).You may print multiple parts as needed for your ensemble. The Monk’s Turned Topsy-Turvy is an original fantasy for clarinet choir, based on the old French-Canadian children’s song, Ah! Si mon moine voulait danser! (Danse, mon moine, danse). The title is a play on words: moine means both monk and spinning top in French. The lyrics speak of persuading mon moine to dance by offering various articles of clothing, such as a hood or cap. After a brief, yet bold, introduction, the piece jumps into a straightforward rendition of the tune. From there, the melody is repeated, bringing in other voices and added flourishes. While the tune starts to repeat a third time, it doesn’t get to finish its full statement. It’s interrupted by a run up through the ensemble into a rollicking 7/8 section. With a rhythmic accompaniment underneath, the jaunty melody begins in the third clarinets. The upper instruments take over briefly in 6/8, then the tune returns to 7/8. After a quick breather, the accompaniment introduces an upward sweep motif. This alternates with the accompaniment pattern heard at the beginning of the 7/8 section. The lower voices then take control, driving downward into a different tonality and mood. An undulating accompaniment sets a dreamlike feel, with different voices quoting fragments of the theme. The accompaniment transfers between voices throughout the section, eventually changing back into a 3/4, then a 2/4 feel, resulting in a transition back to the original feel of the piece. The low voices get the melody, with rhythmic accompaniment and racing runs throughout the other sections. The melody goes a bit topsy-turvy before the group comes together in the descending quarter note motif from the beginning of the piece, bringing us to the coda. There’s one final quote of the opening of the main theme from the low voices, leading to a whirlwind in the first and Eb with accented notes and suspensions underneath. The Eb pipes up with one last comment and the group closes out the piece. Also available for concert band (S0.708971)

Solo Guitar - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.899109 Composed by Richard Strauss. Arranged by Rod Whittle. 20th Century. Individual part. 2 pages. Maggie Creek Music #25787. Published by Maggie Creek Music (A0.899109). 2 pages; for solo classical guitar; published by Maggie Creek MusicRichard Strauss (1864 -1949) Strauss's music amounts to a huge body of symphonic and operatic work written over 60 years. Full of vitality, endlessly melodic, brilliantly orchestrated, it begins and ends in the romantic tradition, but for the most part expresses something more modern and individualistic, not without controversy in its time. Variation of style and structure is drawn from the descriptive (literary) nature of compositions, and an extraordinary inventiveness enlivens the scenes, moods and situations. Strauss said once that he produced music the way cows give milk, and indeed his music rarely seems contrived. The opera Strauss wrote 15 operas on a variety of subjects and across the whole spectrum of drama. He acknowledged being enchanted by the soprano voice, and his writing for it highlights many of the works, including Adriane auf Naxos (composed in 1912). The opera has been described as 'sparkling', which sums it up well, and passages influenced by Bach, Mozart, Puccini, and Wagner add to the interest. The storyline is a play within a play, the second part being the mythological 'Opera' staged in the story. The three pieces transcribed* are from this Opera. The guitar arrangements All classical guitar pieces are compromises. The instrument has only six strings, the left hand four fingers able to be used, and with the right hand its rare to use more than three fingers and the thumb. So, despite the amount of noise possible, it's inevitable that passages occur where either harmony, bass or fragments of counterpoint that would be beneficial are left out. In particular, the higher up the neck music is played the simpler it tends to be, if harder to play, and unless the low bass is an open string there wont be any. So I think the main part of attaining a fair transcription (better to be called an arrangement if the original musical structure is not strictly followed, as in this case) is determining how a good compromise can be reached. Melody, counterpoint, bass and main harmonies demand inclusion, and register is important. One may generally assume the original score can't be improved on. However, if the music may sound well on guitar, and the above elements can be incorporated without the playing becoming very difficult, something enjoyable to play and worthwhile listening to should be able to be achieved. Overture; 'A golden time …' Here the Mozart influence, better, inspiration, is wonderfully evident. A gentle waltz time (only the first section of the overture is transcribed) carries the colourful harmonies, strong melodic threads and connecting flourishes that stamp both pieces. The aria is alluded to in the Overture several times, which as you would expect, is intricately woven with the hints themes later to be established in the Opera. It has a kind of 'jazzy' freedom, and it's always miraculous to me that composition so involved can retain its musical line, here done in Strauss's inimitable way. The aria, sung not far into the Opera, has the perfect inevitability of Mozart, but again it is Strauss. As explained, keys have been changed to suit the guitar. Chorus and Aria This selection from the finale has features well worth trying to translate. The device of having a strong chorus, in the style of a Bach chorale, stated and then counterpointed by a solo voice in a restatement, is potent, and that in the opera the chorus (of the three nymphs) isn't immediately followed by the accompanying aria (of Ariadne) means the latter comes as a moment of surprising beauty. Neither parts are complicated, and lovely arpeggios, a feature Strauss's music, often impart the assured progressions. A problem was to capture the distinct register o.
