Saxophone Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1405116 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Robert Stevens. Chamber,Classical. 60 pages. SAXpress.com #988156. Published by SAXpress.com (A0.1405116). Divertimento in B Flat (1783) K439b no 2 W. A. Mozart ((1756 – 1791)) Saxophone Trio, flexible instrumentation Divertimento in B Flat K.439b by Mozart, arranged for sax trio, flexible instrumentation. This is number two of a set of five divertimentos written around 1783. Originally, the works were written for 3 basset horns but were also performed by other wind and string ensembles. They are commonly performed by two clarinets and a bassoon today. This arrangement is for saxophone trio with flexible scoring.Divertimento in B Flat has five movements: Allegro (Common time, tempo around 124 bpm, B-flat major throughout, about 2.25 minutes) Minuetto 1 (3/4 time, tempo around 124-136 bpm, ABA form, B-flat major to E-flat major to B-flat, about 3.75 minutes) Larghetto (3/4 time, tempo around 60 bpm, B flat major throughout, about 4 minutes) Minuetto 2 (3/4 time, tempo around 136 – 144 bpm, ABA form, B-flat major to F to B-flat major, about 3.5 minutes) Rondo (2/4 time, tempo around 144 – 152 bpm, ABACA form, B-flat major except when the C section wanders to F minor, about 3.25 minutes) The first movement features a lively main theme and a carefree, somewhat mellow alternate theme. Minuet 1 has a graceful main theme and relaxed, somewhat playful trio section. The movement three Larghetto is slow and dreamy. It even seems to yawn when the music several times indulges in long pauses. The second Minuet movement is livelier and a bit more colorful and playful than the first with a lively trio section. The concluding Rondo (Allegro) is energetic and colorful, with syncopations and interesting key shifts to add interest. This version of Divertimento in B-flat includes the following parts: Full trio score (C score), 20pp Part 1 – soprano saxophone, 8pp Part 2 – soprano saxophone 2, 8pp Part 2 – alto saxophone, 8pp Part 3 – tenor saxophone, 8pp Part 3 – baritone saxophone, 8pp The printed score and parts are 9″x 12″. The alternate parts included with this arrangement allow a great deal of flexibility in your ensemble. The parts can be played in any combination as long as part one, two, and three are covered. Probably Soprano-Alto-Tenor or Soprano-Alto-Baritone would be the most common grouping. However, even though it is not specified on the parts, there is no reason the piece could not be played by a Tenor/Tenor/Baritone ensemble. Also if a bass sax is available it could certainly cover the part 3 tenor sax part.

Saxophone Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1138515 Composed by Christian Petzold, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Easter,Renaissance,Sacred,Wedding. 38 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #738855. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1138515). This album contains 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous and versatile pieces for alto saxophone trio, all very well suited for the beginners who want to get to know the baroque repertoire. They are also suitable for performances at events such as: weddings, Christian and church ceremonies, Easter, and academic recitals or concerts. They can be used in music institutions and by teachers as repertoire material and study methods, either for performance or instrumental technique. This collection includes a totally free bonus for you to enjoy: Martin Luther's A Mighty Fortress is Our God, a Renaissance sacred song for choir, which has been adapted for this set. 1: Air on the G String - The original piece is part of Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 3 for orchestra, in D Major, BWV 1068, written for Prince Leopold of Anhalt. The so-called Air on the G String dates from one of these latter employments. In the service of the Prince of Cöthen, Bach composed not only the famous Brandenburg Concertos, but also several orchestral suites, from the third of which comes the Air on the G String. This curious title derives from a later arrangement of this piece for violin solo, in which the melody is played entirely on the lower, higher string of the instrument. 2: Arioso - The Cantata 156 (BWV 156) was written for the third Sunday after Epiphany in 1729, and was first performed on January 23 of that year. The text is by Picander, one of Bach's favorite librettists. Of the four cantatas written by Bach for the feast, it was the last and only one scored for solo voice. This is a choral cantata, employing a choral melody in several movements. Cantata 156, in fact, employs two different choral melodies and texts in the second and sixth movements. A cantata is a sung symphony consisting of several parts, one of which is the Arioso, which is the initial instrumental part. 3: Jesu, joy of man's desiring - This is one of Bach's most beautiful cantatas, made famous by the Jesus the Joy of Men chorus. It was originally composed for Advent 1716 in Weimar. Years later, already in Leipzig, Advent was tempus clausum, there was no music in the churches. Bach then reworked it for the Feast of Mary's Visitation. It is the final chorale of the cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben. Although it is the 32nd cantata composed by Bach, of those that have survived, it was given BWV 147 in the complete catalog of his works. 4: O Jesulein süss, o Jesulein mild - The Jesulein süß, the Jesulein mild is an original traditional German choral melody for voice and continuous bass arranged by Johann Sebastian Bach around 1735. With lyrics by Valentin Thilo, O Jesulein süss is a sacred melody adapted and catalogued as BWV 493. The first translation is by Dirk van Hogendorp, who made it more of a song for the time of suffering. 5: Minuet in G major - This famous piece has traditionally been attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach, as it appears in the Notebook for Anna Magdalena , a notebook that Bach gave to his wife Anna Magdalena in 1725 and which was to be filled with the favorite selections of Bach family members. However, recent research has concluded that this minuet, sometimes referred to as BWV Anhang 114. was probably composed by Christian Petzold, a German composer and organist contemporary with Bach. Bonus: A Mighty Fortress is Our God, by Martin Luther - Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott is a hymn written by Martin Luther probably before 1529. The melody was also considered his work for a long time, but it was created at least with the collaboration of Johann Walter. The song is of great symbolic power for Protestantism, where it is also known as Deus noster refugium et virtus. Considered one of the most important hymns in the history of Christianity, it was considered by the Christian poet Johann Heirich Heine (1797-1856) to be the Marseillaise of the Reformation, in an allusion to the French national anthem.

Considered one of the most important hymns in the history of Christianity, it was considered by the Christian poet Johann Heirich Heine (1797-1856) to be the Marseillaise of the Reformation, in an allusion to the French national anthem.

Saxophone Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Tenor Saxophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1138516 Composed by Christian Petzold, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Martin Luther. Arranged by Ander. Baroque,Easter,Renaissance,Sacred,Wedding. 38 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #738857. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1138516). This album contains 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous and versatile pieces for tenor saxophone trio, all very well suited for the beginners who want to get to know the baroque repertoire.

Saxophone Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1341915 Composed by George Frideric Handel. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Chamber,Christian,Christmas,Holiday,Traditional. 3 pages. Jmsgu3 #927425. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1341915). Joy to the World is an English Christmas carol written by the English minister and hymnwriter Isaac Watts in 1719. Here are some interesting facts about the song:Originally a Poem: Joy to the World was originally a poem, not a song.Inspiration: Isaac Watts wrote the lyrics with Jesus's second coming in mind, not His first coming, inspired by the latter half of Psalm 98.Musical Origin: The melody for Joy to the World is attributed to George Frideric Handel and arranged by Lowell Mason. The first four notes of the song are the same as the chorus Lift your heads from Handel's Messiah. Not Intended as a Christmas Carol: The song wasn't intended to be a Christmas carol, as its original version had no such link with Christmas. It adapted Psalm 98, celebrating Jesus's role as King of his church and the world.Popularity: Since 1719, Joy to the World has remained one of the most-published hymns in Northern America and has been recorded by various artists.Joy to the World is a timeless piece of art that has withstood the test of time and continues to be enjoyed and appreciated by generations, making it a significant part of Christmas celebrations.

Saxophone Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1476309 Composed by Franz Schubert. Arranged by Robert Stevens. Chamber,Classical. 28 pages. SAXpress.com #1053823. Published by SAXpress.com (A0.1476309). Trio in B-flat Major, D471 Franz Schubert (1797 – 1828) Saxophone Trio SAB/SAT Trio in B-flat Major, D471 by Franz Schubert, arranged for Saxophone Trio SAB/SAT.Like so many of Schubert's instrumental works, Trio in B-flat D471 is an incomplete composition. The string trio consists of a completed first movement marked ‘Allegro’ and only a few bars of a slower second movement. In many ways it looks back to earlier composers such as Haydn and Mozart. This transcription for saxophone trio is of the complete first movement only.Included in this arrangement: Full trio score (SAT) Soprano Saxophone part Alto Saxophone part Tenor Saxophone part Baritone Saxophone part (tenor saxophone alternate) There is one instance of altissimo in each of the soprano, alto, and baritone parts. Suggestions are given for alternate notes should that be necessary. The tenor part require no altissimo. Additionally the bari part often goes quite high in its normal range. Trio in B-flat D471 was originally scored for the usual string trio ensemble of violin, viola, and cello. This transcription is for saxophone trio: soprano, alto, and either tenor or baritone saxophones (parts are included for both). It is a straightforward example of Classical sonata-allegro form. This arrangement is in the original key of B-flat major. It is in common time (4/4) throughout. The tempo stays at 'allegro' throughout. Intermediate-advanced players should have no problems with this work.

Classical,Instructional,Opera,Romantic Period,Traditional. 11 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #742504. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1142126). This adaptation was intended for a small group of alto sax trio, where the original essence of the piece was kept, however, with a reduction in the duration, where only the main themes of the opening were extracted. As it is simplified, it is intended for beginner students of instrumental music who want to enter orchestral music, even in a simplified and reduced form, and can be used by music teachers with their students in ensemble practice in situations such as academic recitals, didactic concerts, or assessment tests. The Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67, known as the Symphony of Destiny, by Ludwig van Beethoven, written between 1804 and 1808, is one of the most popular and best known compositions in the entire repertoire of European music. The four movements are characterized by orchestral homogeneity, being, at the same time, an example of alternation: the first movement, revealing great tension, denounced by the strings and raised to an extreme drama; the second movement reveals solemnity, in a funeral march that rises by its emotion and beauty; the third movement, a crispness; the fourth movement expresses triumph and magnificence.

Arranged by Thomas Graf. Folk,World. 12 pages. Thomas Graf - the-hit-factory.com #2961267. Published by Thomas Graf - the-hit-factory.com (A0.568484). La Paloma is a popular Spanish song that has been produced and reinterpreted in diverse cultures, settings, arrangements, and recordings over the last 140 years. The song was composed and written by the Spanish composer from the Basque region Sebastián Iradier (later Yradier) after he visited Cuba in 1861. Iradier may have composed La Paloma around 1863, just two years before he died in Spain in obscurity, never to learn how popular his song would become. La Paloma belongs to a genre of songs called Habaneras, a musical style developed in 19th-century Spain that is still today very much present in the form of folk songs and formal compositions, particularly in the Northern Basque Region and East Coast (Catalonia and Valencia) regions of the country. Like all Habaneras, its characteristic and distinct rhythm reflects the fusion of the local Cuban songs that the Spanish sailors of the time brought back with them from their travels to the island, with the rhythm structure of the flamenco tanguillo gaditano (original from Cádiz, Andalusia). Very quickly La Paloma became popular outside of Spain, particularly in Mexico, and soon spread around the world. In many places, including Afghanistan, Hawaii, the Philippines, Germany, Romania, Zanzibar, and Goa it gained the status of a quasi-folk song. Over the years the popularity of La Paloma has surged and receded periodically, but never subsided. It may be considered one of the first universal popular hits and has appealed to artists of diverse musical backgrounds.[1] There are more than one thousand versions of this song, and that together with Yesterday by the Beatles, is one of the most recorded songs in the history of music. Saxophone Trio,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.582122 Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by John Gibson. 20th Century,Celtic,Folk,Irish. 16 pages. JB Linear #5755449. Published by JB Linear (A0.582122). Gustav Holst is well known by wind players for his sparkling pieces for wind band. In those he used English folk tunes or tunes he composed having a folk flavor. This piece set by John Gibson for saxophone trio comes from Holst's Toccata for piano based upon the Northumbrian song Newburn Lads. It is 2 minutes long, so one entertaining idea would be to play it slowly first and then increase the tempo each time. This setting can be played by three saxes of the same key, ie. 3 altos, 3 tenors, etc.

Classical,Instructional,Opera,Romantic Period,Traditional. 11 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #742505. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1142127). This adaptation was intended for a small group of tenor sax trio, where the original essence of the piece was kept, however, with a reduction in the duration, where only the main themes of the opening were extracted.

Veni, Veni, Emmanuel, also known as O Come, O Come, Emmanuel, is a Christian hymn for Advent. It has ancient origins, as the melody synthesizes the great, ancient O Antiphons sung for Vespers during Advent. The familiar tune, Veni Emmanuel, was first linked with this hymn in 1851, when Thomas Helmore published it in the Hymnal Noted, paired with an early revision of Neale's English translation. While the Veni Emmanuel tune predominates in the English-speaking world, several others have been closely associated with the hymn.O Come, O Come, Emmanuel has been used in popular culture as a significant and enduring hymn, particularly during Advent and Christmas. Its universal themes of hope, longing, and the anticipation of the arrival of Jesus Christ have resonated with listeners of different generations, evoking strong emotions and connecting them to the deeper meaning of Christmas and Advent. The song's profound impact on listeners, touching hearts and stirring emotions, has contributed to its enduring popularity. Various artists have sung it, featuring it in numerous Christmas albums and performances, further solidifying its place in popular culture. Therefore, O Come, O Come, Emmanuel holds a special significance in popular culture due to its timeless message and emotional impact on listeners.
