he Blankenheim / Rosar Edition is a performance (interpretative) edition of Bach's keyboard works. A preface provides an introduction and practical guide to the interpretation of these works. The score contains tempo suggestions, structure and phrasing markings, articulations, dynamics, fingerings, and detailed instructions to the interpretation of ornaments.

The latest interpretive edition of Bach's keyboard works, the ideas presented here are a summary of experience with these works that was gained through research, teaching, discussion and performance – results of a decades-long preoccupation with Bach’s works commenced by Walter Blankenheim, and continued by Inge Rosar.
