Broadway,Christian,Classical,Musical/Show,Religious. 50 pages. Ralph Coleman #769509. Published by Ralph Coleman (A0.1169160). This musical Ruth tells the story according to the Jewish tradition. This story is also one of the books in the Bible, in the Old Testament. While artistic and historical licence has been taken, I believe that this musical is true to the essence, values and integrity of a story that is part of the religious tradition of millions of people worldwide. The musical has been written for a small orchestra with a difficulty grade of 3, making it perfectly accessible to collegiate symphonic ensembles. Lyrics in English and French are available. The eleventh piece (out of a total of 16) named Je veux t'aimer pour la vie (I'll love you evermore) has a duration of 05:00. Boaz sleeps peacefully by the heap of grain on the threshing floor, and Ruth comes under the blanket with him. He suddenly wakes up (measure 24) and Ruth asks him if he would be willing to marry her. He accepts, but knows that the matter must be discussed at the city gate because he is not the closest kin.

Arranged by Jörg Richter. 20th Century,Broadway,Jewish,Musical/Show,Standards. Score and parts. 7 pages. Jörg Richter #718714. Published by Jörg Richter (A0.1117126). Bei Mir Bistu Shein is a popular Yiddish song written by lyricist Jacob Jacobs and composer Sholom Secunda for a 1932 Yiddish language comedy musical, I Would If I Could (in Yiddish, Men Ken Lebn Nor Men Lost Nisht, You could live, but they don't let you), which closed after one season at the Parkway Theatre in Brooklyn, New York City. The score for the song transcribed the Yiddish title as Bay Mir Bistu Sheyn. The original Yiddish version of the song (in C minor) is a dialogue between two lovers. Five years after its 1932 composition, English lyrics were written for the tune by Sammy Cahn and Saul Chaplin, and the English version of the song became a worldwide hit when recorded by The Andrews Sisters under a Germanized spelling of the title, Bei mir bist du schön, in November 1937 (From: Wikipedia.org). Here is an arrangement for 2 Marimbas.

Published by Melanie B Guerin (A0.854331). Written for the unpublished musical Too Many Wishes by Steve Jones, this song is about a mother's simple wish for her child.A scientist, a doctor, or an astronaut,An action-packed adventure with an epic plot,A life of happy endings, A fairy tale and dreams that all come true,Well maybe I should wish these things for you.Class president, philanthropist, and CEO,The greatest minds to marvel at the things you know,A love that's everlasting,A roaring crowd that cheers and calls your name,And riches might be nice, but just the same,The grandest dreams I'd dream for youWould surely pale beside the taleOf deeds that you will do,So in these quiet momentsWhen I tuck you in and leave you with a kiss,I simply wish you this:Only happy, only kind,Only brave enough to speak or change your mind,Only safe and sound,Only wild and free,Only sure about what you mean to me,Only good.

Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.581935 Composed by John Gibson. Contemporary. 11 pages. JB Linear #3456847. Published by JB Linear (A0.581935). Extinction Events (2nd movement - It Isn't Easy Being a Cuckoo by John Gibson was written as a submission to the International Clarinet Association's 2018 Composition Competition. Written for 3 Bb clarinets and 1 bass clarinet, it is a four movement work for very advanced players, although the 2nd movement is easier. This is the second movement only...the others may be purchased separately: Buzzy Delights, Walrus Jump, and Yaguarete Surprise (Argentine Jaguar). The entire set of 4 movements may also be purchased. Simply type extinction events Gibson in the search bar at the top. Each movement imagines a different animal or insect living in its habitat as it gradually deteriorates. One might think this would be sad, violent music, but each earthly creature is shown in its musical habitat where it happily does what it does best....bees buzzing around flowers, cuckoos gently calling in the forest, Walruses jumping not so gracefully onto sea ice, Jaguars quietly stalking their prey. The habitat changes are depicted by gradual use of unstable scales, and the sometimes hidden ancient tune of the Dies Irae, the Day of Wrath. The point I wish to make is how humans must be watchful of wildlife habitats because we are all in this limited world together. Where wild creatures go, so do we. It was best said by Jane Goodall: Only if we understand can we care. Only if we care will we help. Only if we help shall they be saved. Cuckoos are quiet reminders of spring when they first appear at the Marsden, United Kingdom area where they have a Cuckoo fair every year. Their habitat is shrinking at an alarming rate as their numbers slowly decrease. In the music, the cuckoos in the 3rd clarinet part get progressively sad sounding and simply disappear. Special fingerings are provided for the 3rd clarinet player. You may watch a video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/MOCTanOBIyk

Euphonium,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1110879 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 28 pages. Regis Bookshar #713173. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1110879). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Brass Sextet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Brass Sextet, consisting of 5 Euphoniums and 1 Tuba, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to practice breath control because of its long, sustained phrases. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (28 pages) written for the Euphoniums in Treble Clef. There is also a version written in Bass Clef, if you would prefer. The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Brass Sextet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. Euphonium,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1110877 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 28 pages. Regis Bookshar #713171. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1110877). Included are a score and a complete set of parts (28 pages) written in Bass Clef. There is also a version written in Treble Clef, if you would prefer. Woodwind Ensemble Alto Flute,Bass Flute - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1171219 Composed by Christopher Tin and Emily Dickinson. Arranged by Lisa Ochoco. Contemporary,Film/TV. 21 pages. Lisa L Ochoco #771557. Published by Lisa L Ochoco (A0.1171219). Christopher Tin is a contemporary composer who is best known for his choral piece called Baba Yetu.  With an impressive educational background in music composition, English literature, and art history, his compositions come to life with like nothing that I've experienced before. It is simply some of the most beautiful and expressive music I have ever heard.  The Lost Birds is a musical memorial to bird species driven to extinction by humans.  Tin’s soundtrack is a fantastic work of art, with its soaring musical phrases that make you feel like you’re flying. The Saddest Noise is a choral piece, with its lyrics taken from Emily Dickinson’s poem, “The Saddest Noise, the Sweetest Noise,†which talks of the relationship between beauty and grief. The saddest noise, the sweetest noise, The maddest noise that grows, The birds, they make it in the spring, At night’s delicious close.   Between the March and April line That magical frontier Beyond which summer hesitates, Almost too heavenly near.   It makes us think of all the dead That sauntered with us here, By separation’s sorcery Made cruelly more dear.   It makes us think of what we had, And what we now deplore. We almost wish those siren throats Would go and sing no more.   An ear can break a human heart As quickly as a spear, We wish the ear had not a heart So dangerously near.   The Lost Birds soundtrack was sung by the choral group, Voces8, who made the music and poetry come to life in a way that not many other groups could.  It is simply beautiful. This arrangement is scored for flute choir – 4 C, alto, bass, and contrabass.  There is an optional cello part that doubles the contrabass.  This is not a strict transcription - I added moving parts and changed/added notes to make it of more interest as an instrumental piece.  I hope you like it. Duration: 3.5 minutes.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Bassoon,English Horn,Flute - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.796880 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Stephanie Daige. Concert,Standards,Wedding. 15 pages. Stephanie Daige #3508465. Published by Stephanie Daige (A0.796880). The Trio in C Major, Op. 87 for Two Oboes and English horn is one of Beethoven’s greatest pieces of chamber music for wind instruments. Experienced oboists are sure to be familiar with this work, and likely have studied it and performed it many times. Beethoven wrote so beautifully and brilliantly for woodwinds, and I wish he had written more chamber music for winds! Audiences always love to hear this piece performed, and I never tire of performing or teaching it. Now, with my transcription for oboe, English horn, and bassoon, you can invite a flutist and a bassoonist friend to join in the fun! This Adagio cantabile movement (the second of four movements) is beautiful, soulful, and melodious. It is enjoyable to play and to listen to, suitable for advanced students or professionals. Students will learn so much about phrasing, articulation, dynamics, balance, and expression from studying this piece; and the level of musicality in this work is suitable for a professional performance. It would work well in a chamber music recital or student recital, and is a good length and seriousness for church offertory music. Duration is approximately 4.5 minutes. Thank you for considering purchasing my arrangement! I hope you will enjoy playing it as much as I have enjoyed arranging it. Please check out my other arrangements on Sheet Music Plus. .

Flute,Vibraphone,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1089176 Composed by Daniel Burwasser. Contemporary. 8 pages. Head and Stem #693387. Published by Head and Stem (A0.1089176). Pavel Friedmann wrote the poem “The Butterfly†in 1942 in the Terezin Ghetto when he was 21. He was murdered in the Auschwitz extermination camp in 1944. Pavel was born in 1921 in Prague, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic) to a Jewish father and a Christian mother. The Butterfly is a living symbol of the beauty of freedom. Such a free spirit could never have survived the confines of the Warsaw ghetto. But while the butterfly did fly away, the spirit and love of freedom it represented never left the souls of the Jews of the ghetto. They always prayed that one day the barbed wire would come down and the butterfly would reappear. The butterfly flutters there today, but many of the Jews who prayed for its return did not live to welcome it back. The first performance of The Butterfly was given on May 8, 1988 at JASA in New York City. The performers were: Andrew Bolotowsky, flute Glenn Rhian, vibraphone Mimi Stern-Wolfe, reciter There are at least two versions of the poem The Butterfly due to different translations. This work uses VERSION 2 as translated here: The last, the very last, So richly, brightly, dazzlingly yellow. Perhaps if the sun's tears would sing against a white stone... Such, such a yellow carried lightly way up high. It went away I'm sure because it wished to kiss the world goodbye. For seven weeks I've lived in here, penned up inside this ghetto, but I have found my people here. The dandelions call to me and the white chestnut candles in the court. Only I never saw another butterfly. That butterfly was the last one. Butterflies don't live in here, In the ghetto. For more information, go to: https://www.danielburwasser.com/To contact the composer directly, go to: danielburwasser9@gmail.comYoutube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@danielburwasser60.

Euphonium - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1111655 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 40 pages. Regis Bookshar #713947. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1111655). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Euphonium Septet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Euphonium Septet, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to practice breath control because of its long, sustained phrases, and also to give them the chance to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (40 pages) written in Treble Clef. There is also a version written in Bass Clef if you prefer. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Euphonium Septet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.
