Rather, it is only a neutral word, allowing the music to be free of any pre-established idea. The work has a single movement divided into two sections: Section I: bars 1-42; Section II: bars 43-99. Section II is a retrograde variation of Section I. The work has a slow tempo and uses the overtone scale, an octatonic scale, starting on note G ( G-A-B-C#-D-Eb-F-F#-G) . The piano is the lead instrument of thematic events and it dialogues with various timbres of percussion instruments. In most of the work sequences of measures are explored, progressing alternately every two bars. Also are explored harmonic intervals of 5th., 4th., 3rd. and 2nd. I took inspiration from Porkofiev's Romeo and Juliet dance of the knights as that is another Shakespeare work.

Published by Mydnyte Publishing (A0.1006443). A Prayer for Harmonic Convergence is a musical meditation for Soprano Sax, B Flat Clarinet, and Bass Clarinet. It is written in free time, and is more of an exercise in vertical development versus horizontal. A degree of tonal indeterminacy is implied and demanded, as the nature of the instruments that it was written for requires the player to make adjustments of their embouchure in order to keep the pitch in tune with the other lines. In a piece where a note which acts as a third suddenly finds itself acting as a fifth or a root means that slight variations of intonation is inevitable. This is a desired effect. Slight overtones from the instruments are meant to combine and mingle. Occasionally the overtones converge and cause the sinusoidal waveform to beat at different frequencies. There is no way to predict how and when the phenomena will happen, and therefore there is no real way to perform this piece the same way twice. While the performer should take care to keep their intonation complimentary to the other players, a degree of latitude is intended so that the performer may experiment with this concept. It is suggested that the players perform from the score so as to anticipate the entrances and exits of the other performers.

Published by Des Press (A0.977349). The CKZD is based on a source from Lübeck, dated 1598; a book of principale Sonatas upon which a group of trumpeters and timpanists would improvise together. This piece was reconstructed following sources such as Bendenelli and the Toccata from Monteverdi's L'Orfeo. CKZD is most probably a dedication to Christian, König zu Dänemark (Christian, King of Denmark). This version was commissioned by Trummet, a historical natural-trumpet group led by Julian Zimmermann. The ideal sound picture is of a pyramid, with the weight at the bottom and a light top, dancing in the resonance of the overtones. The lower parts should be played with a full, vibrant sound and rhythmical, clear attack, giving welcome support to those above. Trumpets 5 and 6 must take care that their drone of a 5th is always pure, like a power-chord on a rock guitar. Further ornamentation in all parts, especially the clarini, is to be encouraged within the written structure.
