Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1150935 Composed by Matteo Carcassi. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. Classical. Guitar Tab. 4 pages. Brian Streckfus #751121. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1150935). Important: This include two versions, a heavily notated version, and a blank version.1. Added tablature. 2. Fingerings added (Counterintuitive fingerings are left blank for the performer to realize first hand that it will be an awkard passage).3. Chord nomenclature added4. Fonts made larger and more appealing5. Position and Bar markings addedTips:1. Measure 13 is a good example of melodic minor as scale degrees 6 and 7 are rasied by a half step on an upward scale run, and then lowered on the way back down.2. Measures 23-27 is an example of a sequence. I recommend making the catchiness and repetition as obvious as possible as the audience is expecting the sequence to complete. For example, if there is a slur happening on a certain beat, I'll make sure it is mantained for every repetition, which is why measure 20 is more difficult with a fretted B instead of an open string. It's more work, but it sounds better to my ears.3. There is a certain order that the right hand fingers should be following depending on if you are going to thicker or thinner strings. Since this is an etude designed to get a player used to classical guitar technique, it made sense to show the a novice finger-style player which right hand fingers to use and when. Example: 2nd thinnest to thinnest string...Should be i m...not m iTo Do:1. Theoretical explanations in the score? Especially on the heavily notated version?

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1177383 By Frederic Chopin. By FreÌdeÌric Chopin. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. 19th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Instructional,Romantic Period. Guitar Tab. 6 pages. Brian Streckfus #776814. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1177383). Key: Changed from B minor to A minorCapo: 2 (If you want original key, but I wasn't a fan of capo 2; it felt like there was no bass notes.)1. Arranged for guitar. 2. Piano pedal markings removed 3. Phrase markings removed and opted for commas. 4. Re-harmonized 5. Key changed from B minor to A minor. 6. Slurs 7. Left hand fingers 8. Tablature9. Harmonics added when advantageous, but playing the regular note would work as well.10. Piano pedal markings removed and replaced with commas. It's a flaw of sheet music that slurs, ties, and phrase markings are all the same symbol, and having all three happening can clutter a score.Compromises This may sound obvious, but of course I had to make some alterations to make this flow properly on guitar. Many of the original chord inversions on the piano were not kept. However, many harmonies were kept intact as far as following the chord nomenclature name. Measure 50 was originally an A minor chord, the irony is that the F major suprise is an homage to Chopin anyways, suprised he didn't opt for it. To be honest, I don't like how there is a perfect authentic cadence in measure 50. I think modern audiences would want to clap too badly, so I believe that ending needs to be slightly messed up to propel the music forward, and give a sense that there is still a problem. The other chord that was changed was an E7b9 to a Ddim7 in measure 78. If you know your theory well, you'll realize these chords have the same exact function and nearly the same notes, it's just that Ddim7 flowed a bit better on guitar. I'd rather have guitarists play the rhythms correctly and with musicality, than have guitarist clunkily go though overly large chords in order to mantain historical accuracy. Measure 15 was hard to keep the original chord intact. A Bb/D with a G in the melody as a suspension sounds more like a g minor chord. That is cliche Chopinesque neopolitan moment so the Bb is crucial to mantain. Having some rough sort of Bbmaj7 or G minor chord while mantaining the melody seemed to sound the best even though the name of the chord might have gotten a little off. I tried chord charts, but they seemed messier than what it was worth. I also could have the denser tablature in the sheet music, but that does make it look 10x more intimidating. So this version is unique in that the tablature is my denser arrangement, whereas the sheet music would allow someone to quickly make a new arrangement. I like this ethos because most guitarists are likely to be much better at playing chord quickly when they don't have to have an exact voicing. This makes this arrangement easier to further perfect since I am naming the harmonies, which often isn't done in classical music.BackstoryThis is one of my favorite pieces, and also my favorite composer. I feel classical guitar repertoire is lacking easily playable music in the romantic style. Often, if it is romantic guitar music, it is extemely difficult and therefore only a select few can enjoy performing it. Also, I sometimes get my hopes up to find a romantic guitar composer, but then after listening, there's nothing quite like Chopin. Obviously, you will have to have some chops to play this since it's one of the most ambitious undertakings a guitarist could take, but it's also not so hard that you have to be train for a decade because I changed the key.

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1356984 Composed by Fernando Sor. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. 19th Century,Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period. Guitar Tab. 3 pages. Brian Streckfus #941611. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1356984). Pages: 3Key: B minorFeatures:1. Tablature Added2. Blank version for starting from scratch3. Chord Nomenclature added 4. Dynamics added 5. Fingerings Added 6. Slides/Guide fingers added 7. Modern Fonts Tips: 1. Realizing that you are in position two most of the time helps. In the key of B minor, fret 1s aren't supposed to happen as they would be out of key. This piece does have key changes, so some fret 1s do happen.2. Nearly all measures are arpeggios, so it's best to summarize each measure as a chord shape. If you read the music one note at a time, your playing will most likely sound choppy. It is possible to get the entire measure ready on beat one.3. Similiar to the last point, there are a lot of bars in this piece. Realizing when you are barring and not barring will be helpful.4. I try to strategically leave out fingerings. Too many fingerings and the piece look overly intimidating. Often, if I leave out a fingering, it's because it is a counter-intuitive fingering to use, and therefor the student should pencil it in themselves as a strong reminder of a difficult moment. I also leave out fingerings if I strongly sense there are multiple correct ways of playing a passage.

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.808757 By Ed Sheeran. By Ed Sheeran. Arranged by Barrry McCormick. Pop. Guitar Tab. 7 pages. B. McCormick #6037415. Published by B. McCormick (A0.808757). This beautiful song by Ed Sheeran sounds as ‘perfect’ arranged for Fingerstyle guitar as it does in the song version. This arrangement of this song for guitar may seem simple at first but there are some very technical position shifts and some finger picking combinations which may seem slightly strange until practiced out. This piece is therefore likely some where in the intermediate skill range on guitar possibly around grade 5/6. If you are intending to use this for an exam please ensure it is at the correct standard with your examining authority. This song has become a favourite for weddings and will sit beautifully in a repertoire of wedding music material or any other kind of recital.Perfect was on Sheeran’s Divide album, and has been performed in numerous languages and Ed has sung this as a duet with the amazing Andrea Bocelli and BeyoncéI hope you enjoy this arrangement when you purchase this guitar sheet music pdf.

Easy Guitar (with TAB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1177429 Composed by Brian Streckfus. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. Instructional. Tablature. 13 pages. Brian Streckfus #777440. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1177429). Major/Minor/Pentatonic Forms for Guitar (Sheet Music + Tab + Fretboard)Learn every key on guitar with very few pages. Pages: 13Bonus Pages:1. A Major Scale across the full neck (to see how they all combine resulting in knowing the full neck)2. Blank scale chart to add in memorization and making alterations.Scales included:1. F Major2. C Major3. G Major4. D Major5. A MajorTips:1. There is a reason why it is not 12 or 24 scales. Since these scales are easy to move higher or lower, just these 5 Major will lead to all 24 major/minor keys throughout the entire fretboard. Therefore, making a C# Major scale chart is uneccessary, and if you are doing so, you may be over thinking music. Instead, it is better to ask yourself how do I play C major but 1 pitch higher and use previous work you have done to your advantage. 2. These scales do not end on the home note. This is a disadvantage in this way, however, knowing large portions of the scale neck in one position will allow you to play a key throughout the fretboard with no gaps in notes. In otherwords, learning one ocatave scales can have concise music theory, but it's impossible to know the scale in every part of the neck completely that way. Features:1. Color coding. Blue notes are home (tonic) notes. Red notes are away (dominant) notes. Simplifying harmony this much can often make you more creative not less since you are crafting the harmonies yourself. 2. Left hand fingerings added. Don't mistake these for fingering numbers.3. Letter names to aid in memorization.Notes:I realize that the hand written font doesn't look the most professional, however this is intentional. I tried making these in photo editors, but since every shape was perfect they were actually harder to memorize from (kind of living driving in a tunnel with no landmarks).

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.985307 By The Chainsmokers. By Andrew Taggart, Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, and Will Champion. Arranged by Jaan Varts. Pop. Guitar Tab. 62 pages. Jaan Varts #5742829. Published by Jaan Varts (A0.985307). Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers & Colplay arranged for 3 guitars (rhythm, melody & rhythm 2). If you´re a beginner then the key to playing this arrangement is simplification - skip the small details and focus on the most essential stuff. The more advanced level = more details. I´ll cover it below for every part. The form and key is 100% the same as original so you can play along with the actual song. Share, like and subscribe if you enjoy this. More songs coming soon, so say tuned:) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The song is bult on G-A-Bm progression and the chords are played throughout the song. 1) Rhythm Rhythm part of Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers & Colplay arranged for 3 guitars (rhythm, melody & rhythm 2). This is the easiest part of the arrangement. If you´re a beginner then start from here. It´s just variations of G-A-Bm chord progression with different rhythms and in different positions. 2) Melody Melody part of Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers & Colplay arranged for 3 guitars (rhythm, melody & rhythm 2). As usual, the melody is the hardest part, since it features lots of slides and legatos. The chorus part features some funky rhythm playing as well. If you´re a beginner, then simplify as much as ou can – leave out all the embelishments, play simpler rhythms, leave out notes when there are more than one note played at a time etc etc. 3) Rhythm 2 Rhythm 2 part of Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers & Colplay arranged for 3 guitars (rhythm, melody & rhythm 2). A little trickier rhythm part features some fingerstyle playing, also hiting the guitar as a drum. The strumming patterns are quite easy, but try to get a steady drum-like beat going on. In the choruses there are some power chords and in the ending we have some riffs as well.

Guitar - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1017653 Composed by Oliver Waterman. 20th Century,Baroque,Contemporary. Guitar Tab. 5 pages. Oliver Waterman #6212365. Published by Oliver Waterman (A0.1017653). My Fugue Study in Em, is a sneak peak into a collection of studies for guitar that I've composed called Classically Different. They are not meant for the beginner student, but they are pedagogical. They are the result of imagining what it would have been like to have the 6 string guitar a common place instrument during the 18th century. Would there have been powerhouse guitarist/composers like Sor and Giuliani of the 19th century? Would they have performed and composed like Bach Vivaldi and Weiss? Would Bach have composed a suite for it? I originally composed this Fugue for keyboard in my counterpoint class. As I started to arrange it for guitar and learn to play it, I realized that I was running into similar problems that guitarists have experienced since Tarrega first started transcribing Bach. I coincidentally rewrote a number of sequences and entrances of the subject to make it more guitar logical. There are still leaps by a 7th sprinkled in to continue a low melody an octave higher due to the range limitations of the 6 string guitar. I wonder if perhaps this would have been a useful mechanism for the hypothetical guitarists of the 18th century, or if they would have just composed for the instruments range. It is quite apparent to me that a great deal of Baroque music arranged for guitar makes great use of this without degradation to the original line. I use both tablature and standard notation for my scores with perhaps an overabundance of fingerings. I want to make it as easy as possible to understand the music for as many players as possible. .

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.984011 Composed by Steven H. Boothe. Christian,Sacred. Guitar Tab. 13 pages. Boothe Publishing #4360937. Published by Boothe Publishing (A0.984011). Fourteen year old Joseph Smith went into a grove of trees to pray and ask God for help to know which church was true, and which one he should join. God and His son Jesus Christ appeared to him and spoke to him face to face. With the appearance of God and His son to the boy Joseph Smith, there was once again a prophet on the earth. This event came to be called the first vision. This vision proved to Joseph Smith that God is not dead. God and His son Jesus Christ are alive and love us today. They have not left us alone here in the world to work out our own salvation. The greatest teachers and preachers of our times cannot save us for they are subject to death. Only Jesus Christ could and did break the bands of death. God talks to us today through His prophets. He does not speak to us through those who say He is gone and has left them in charge. The only way to find truth about God is to study His doctrine and then talk with Him. Ask Him if what you are learning is true. With 4,300 Christian religions on the earth today, we can know through revelation from God which is His true church. There can be only one. God told Joseph that He had a great work for him to do. God sent an angel who revealed to Joseph plates of gold. These plates of Gold were records kept by Israelite prophets in ancient America. God brought them to this land of promise before the Jews were carried away captive into Babylon. I know this is true. You can read the Book of Mormon. You can ask God for yourself if it is true. Then you too can know, for God will answer your prayer.

Guitar - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1181680 By Frederic Chopin. By FreÌdeÌric Chopin. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. 19th Century,Contemporary,Instructional,Romantic Period. Guitar Tab. 2 pages. Brian Streckfus #781456. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1181680). Disclaimer: This is a two page excerpt with mostly only the beginning and end of the original piece. This is still a work in progress, the middle section is going to be difficult, if not impossible on guitar. Some may see this as more of an homage to Chopin rather than a historically accurate version. That being said, both this arrangement and the original are incredible pieces of music, and it may be my favorite piece of all time, and I think jaws would drop if the average person hears a guitarist effortlessly playing Chopin as if it was meant for guitar. 1. Arranged for guitar. 2. Guitar Tablature added. 3. Key changed 4. Notes removed and and inverted chords changed to be idiomatic for guitar.5. Slurs added. 6. Chord nomenclature added. 7. Piano pedal and phrase markings are a bit unnecessary for a guitarist so they are not included. Slurs and ties are more important for a guitarist, so I don't want a ton of swoops symbols obscuring slurs and ties. As with the other Chopin arrangement I made, I want super romantic music while making sure it isn't super difficult to play. If I wanted a super hard version, I would just find the public domain version and read treble and bass clef in a difficult key for free. There could also be a lot more mantaining of historical accuracy if this was arranged for a 7 or 8 string guitar. Having a low E and Eb would really changed the trajectory of the arrangement. Sure a guitar can play an Eb chord, but it always sounds too high pitched, when really the original has a low powerful bass note as the music inflects a different key. So that's why I took some liberty with the bass notes for guitar. It's incredibly grimy sounding even though A minor isn't typically seen as a dark and low key.Tips:1. A Bb chord in the key of a minor is an example of a Neopolitan chord, named after a city in Italy. This is one main essence of Chopin, and constantly using them allows him to really toy around with the key and suspense. To Do:1. Measure 10 is glitched out. Sorry. It is correct in a way but it is strangely spaced. It is a challenge because at times it looks like measures have the incorrect amount of beats, but I think Chopin's freedom of rhythm is the reason why, and bizarre triplets and quintuplets are being forced into the measure. 2. Combination version without tab?3. The full piece?4. Add rhythm to tab?

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1136061 Composed by Brian Streckfus. Instructional,Jewish,Multicultural,Religious,Sacred,World. Guitar Tab. 1 pages. Brian Streckfus #736086. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1136061). If someone is yawning saying, I'm sick and tired of playing music in the key of C Major, I want to use a scale hardly anyone uses. Then this piece is for you.1. Guitar Arrangement2. Guitar Tab3. Less stereotypical chords 4. Fingerings and letter names added to aid in sight-reading 5. Voice leading considerationsThe Scale I used is: D Eb F# G A Bb D. The name of it would be something bizarre. These names include: Jewish, harmonic major, or a mode of G harmonic minor. If I included a C#, it would be a symmetrical scale that can't be retrograded, adding to the mathematical mystique. An exotic sounding atmosphere was what I was going for.Tips:1. Since it is exotic, microtonal pre-bends seem appropriate to make it even more exotic sounding. That is what the upwards pointing swoosh means. Perhaps the sound of a sitar was what I was going for.2. Slides also make it sound more exotic.3. Exotic music uses drone tones more often than American music. Therefor, droning a low D made sense.4. The naming of chords would be quite difficult since it is more of an alien music language than a western one. I just left them out this time. Names would happen such as Dadd4(b9)omit3. Pretty alien chords if you ask me, and you can see that the western chord nomenclature is struggling to name it elegantly. Anytime chords are build in 4th and 5ths rather than 3rds, usually the name that results is quite complex.5. I added unisons because it makes it sound more mysterious in my opinion.

Note the pull off on G chord in bar 11.Intro and outro sections are included in this James Taylor guitar arrangement of ‘You can close your eyes’Most songs have intros and outros so that the singer can get the tempo and start in the right key. However, many published arrangements often just start on a pick-up note or two on the last beat of the bar with no chord indicated and end the song on a chord that is not the tonic or main key chord that tells the listener the song has ended. ‘Leaving On A Jet Plane’ by John Denver is a good example. In the key of ‘D’ the song starts with the notes ‘C#’ and ‘E’ and then the first bar is indicated as ‘D’ major chord. If you start the song playing a ‘D’ chord you will most likely sing the wrong notes because ‘C#’ and ‘E’ belong to the A7 chord of the song. So a simple 2 bar intro of ‘D’ , A7 (start singing on the last beat) and back to ‘D’ would help the singer to get the tempo and sing the correct pick-up notes. The printed sheet music of ‘Leaving On A Jet Plane’ ends on an ‘A7’ chord of the chorus and as such does not indicate that the end chord should be ‘D’. So it is not always safe to assume that the end chord in printed music indicates the key of the song. Lyrics with chord symbols to show when to change chords. Matching the fingerpicking tab or sheet music to the lyrics can sometimes prove difficult so I have included a lyrics sheet of ‘You can close your eyes’ with chord symbols. This is a very popular format to give an indication when to change chords. However, the drawback is that there is no way of knowing how long each chord lasts as the bar structure is missing. But once you learn the bar structure from the sheet music or tab part you will find this Lyrics and chords sheet of ‘You can close your eyes’ your go to page for performing the song until you know it from memory.Downloads available Include:Score Tab Chords Lyrics For GuitarNotes Chords Lyrics For GuitarTab Chords Lyrics For GuitarIf you like or buy this arrangement it helps if you leave even a brief review- two words( very good) or even better one word (Awesome) :)Contact me at info@guitarlessonsdundrum.comTags : Sheet music, Tab, Pop/Rock, Folk , Country, Acoustic Guitar, Easy Intermediate

Published by Brent C Robitaille (A0.509358). Cigar Box Guitar The Ultimate Collection: Volume 2.†The second book in this series adds more music and instruction needed to learn the three string cigar box guitar tuned to GDG. The book is intended for beginners, but experienced players will gather lots of useful information to further their progress. There is a good selection of tunes that can be played with or without a slide and with or without a pick. As usual, the music includes tablature and notation for those with a music background. There are also 18 traditional songs with chord charts for singers. Each song has suggested chords with diagrams, the time signature, the first melody note, and the key included. There is a variety of strumming and fingerstyle patterns provided for the songs. There are also some tips on how to accompany with the cigar box guitar. If you are into rock and pop styles check out the 12 rock riffs and the many popular chord progressions. The chord progressions are based on current pop/rock music and can be applied to your favorite songs. As in volume one of this series, a full chord and scale library and fingerboard charts are included at the back of the book. The most common chords also have photos, a chord chart, and tablature and notation. An excellent way to learn chords is to practice 10 ways to play major and minor chords. This practice alone will help you master chords on your CBG! Check out my website for the online audio tracks and videos: Website: www.brentrobitaille.com/ultimate-v2 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/CigarBoxGuitar

Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.808754 By Counting Crows. By Adam F. Duritz, Dan Vickrey, David Bryson, David Immergluck, and Matthew Malley. Arranged by B. McCormick. Pop. Guitar Tab. 6 pages. B. McCormick #3520561. Published by B. McCormick (A0.808754). This Sheet Music of this Counting Crow's Classic, Accidentally in Love gives you everything you need to learn this song from start to finish. Designed to strictly follow the songs structure, hence the amount of pages, it gives all the parts in the order they should come if you follow the repeats properly. This song can be found on the Shrek Sound track along with many other great tracks. The chords used in this song are fairly simple. The rhythm and timing and following of the sheet music are where the dificulty in this piece lie. The strum pattern is set out in the initial bars, if a new strum pattern comes in it is indicated. I would work on the main strum pattern and then work on the rhythm in the chorus bars. You may want to try different effects and distortion to get the sound you want, especially for the solo. All in all this piece is for people who have a been playing for a while and have a strong sense of rhythm al though it could be learned by anyone although it would take newer players longer to grasp the changing rhythms. Solo Guitar - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1153109 Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by Richard Hirsch. Christmas,Multicultural,Religious,Standards,Traditional,World. Individual part. 8 pages. Richard Hirsch #753352. Published by Richard Hirsch (A0.1153109). An arrangement for solo guitar of the all-time favourite Christmas carol composed by Franz Gruber. The arrangement starts with an introduction of the melody in arpeggios of natural harmonics and moves into broken chords mixed with arpeggios for the first rendering of the song in 6/8 time. In the second part, at the shift to 4/4 time, the melody is rendered in an African inspired version with natural harmonics reminiscent of tunes played on an African kalimba (thumb harp) woven into the broken chords and arpeggios. As the speed increases, and the volume decreases, the arrangement moves steadily toward a total kalimba version. I like to think of the first part of the arrangement as symbolising a night in the little Austrian village where Gruber lived and composed the song. The natural harmonics and base notes and treble notes on open strings denoting the village chapel bells ringing on Christmas Eve. The second part tries to give a feel for how the melody can stand as a symbol of our common human origins in Africa, celebrating the birth and unity of humanity. The arrangement is within reach of intermediate to advanced students of guitar and is a good introduction to natural harmonics on the twelfth, seventh, and fifth frets. The African inspired polyrhythm fingerpicking in the second part consists basically of the thumb alternating with the index and middle fingers in a repetitive cycle. The second part is notated in 4/4 time, but can perhaps be more easily be read and played as 8/8 time, as practically everything, especially towards the end of the arrangement consists of eight notes. The polyrhythmic second part should have an accent on the downbeat of the first beat of the measure followed by an accent at 3and (an upbeat), just before the fourth and final beat of the measure. Reading the four part harmony of the score may at first present a challenge but if played basically as eight notes followed by eight notes everything should come out right in the end. Refer to the mp3 version provided with the score if in doubt. I do not mark the natural harmonics explicitly in the tablature, there are simply too many of them. The diamond shaped notes in the notation denoting harmonics are found directly above the corresponding fingerings in the tablature. It has been a real joy to work with this arrangement of the song and I hope it brings joy to others in playing it, giving new life to the traditional melody.

Guitar - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.892619 By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Ben Garraway. Rock. Guitar Tab. 8 pages. Music Lesson Downloads #6251707. Published by Music Lesson Downloads (A0.892619). Here is an easy duet for guitar. It contains a score and parts and is scored in both TAB and standard notation and consists of an introduction, verse, chorus and ending sections. It's in the key of C major, like the original song, and can be played along with it if you repeat another verse and chorus section.Brilliant for a concert performance and it's approx. grade 2 standard although if you know the song and have good chord knowledge then you may be able to attempt this earlier. The melody part is quite syncopated like the original song so there are lots of tied notes. Includes lyrics, and rehearsal markings to help with reading and performance. .

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.808747 Composed by Anon. Arranged by Barry McCormick. Romantic Period. Guitar Tab. 5 pages. B. McCormick #3069169. Published by B. McCormick (A0.808747). This wonderful Guitar Piece, Romance, is a classic for any repertoire. PracticeThe piece lasts around 2:45 at 94 BPM. Once the triplet plucking is mastered the majority of the piece is easier to learn. It is just a case of learning the left hand shapes and incorporating where the melody goes, usually on the first or second strings. It is worth while making sure of your fingering in the intro section to make sure the scale is played well and with a clear tone. Fingering is merely suggested if you find a more comfortable/logical way for your playing style and the integrity of the piece is maintained, go for your own fingering. Don't let the fingering put you off!LevelThis piece is around Grade 4/5 level. Suitable for first instrument at Higher in Scotland and second instrument at Advanced Higher. Music Lesson Downloads #5869595. Published by Music Lesson Downloads (A0.892587). Here is an easy rhythm guitar version of Highway to hell. It's 4 pages long and looks relatively hard but falls under the fingers nicely and if you know the song there are only a few bit to learn. It follows the original (single) version that we all know and love but you'll have to re-tune your guitar slightly flat if you're going to play along with it as the original is not in concert pitch.

Guitar - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1162362 Composed by Traditional Scottish Folk. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. Celtic,Folk,Holiday,Instructional,Irish,Traditional. Guitar Tab. 2 pages. Brian Streckfus #762722. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1162362). 1. Arranged for guitar. 2. Guitar TAB added. 3. Re-harmonized to be idiomatic for guitar and have more adventerous harmony. 4. Grace notes added.5. The grace notes, uncommon harmony, and overly drenched G major pentatonic sound lead to a more Irish/Celtic/Scottish idiom, as if this was written for bag pipes. 6. Too many versions of public domain songs will just phone in the chords in my opinion with a I IV and V7. This version is a bit jazzed up, which may not be what you looking for. If you are looking for real basic accompianiment this isn't the version for you, though I do try to use as many open strings on the guitar as possible, and the chords are often small.7. The other problem I often see with public domain songs is that the famous cowboy guitar chords most versions use lead to a lot of clunky part writing in my opinion (no thought of tendency tones, no thought of smooth voice leading, parralel 8ves and 5ths, doubled 3rds, etc). Those voicings are easier to sight-read, but are also not super creative, and as a teacher, I don't exactly want a student to see the same G Major voicing forever. That gives this false impression that that G major vocing is somehow superior. 8. Another small issue I see with public domain songs is that the vocal melody is sometimes not in the famous cowboy guitar chord. There is nothing wrong with that, and sometimes you want that, but since I like to train my singing with the help of my guitar, I like when arrangements make the vocal melody easy to add or remove on guitar. I can easily play a sophisticated solo version of this in a coffee shop, or I can just look at the chord nomenclature and see the song only from a rhythm section point of view when in a full band, when usually you purposely want to contribute less.9. Notes with an upward stem represent those notes being the original melody. This give arrangement a lot of replay value because a skillfull performer can improvise the background harmonies.

Seamus McDaniel #913136. Published by Seamus McDaniel (A0.1324919). This is my arrangement/transcription of The Unforgiven by Metallica! I've included left hand fingering and really aimed for note-by-note accuracy in this one. There is at least one iteration of each section, and included the ambient Outro guitar as opposed to the Chorus part, since it's already tabbed out earlier in the file. There is standard notation as well as tabature in the PDF!If you have any questions or suggestions regarding my tabs, feel free to reach out to me at my website!
