Despite the song’s appearance relatively late in the Beatles’ discography, it was one of the first songs that Paul McCartney wrote, at the age of 16. When the song was finally recorded in 1966, Paul McCartney felt it was too slow and turgid. George Martin simply solved the problem by speeding up the tape and raising the pitch by one semitone. This version of When I’m Sixty-Four is arranged as a duet for two Violins. The full YouTube performance above is the Clarinet version of this duet.Musicians at an intermediate level will find this ideal for formal and informal concert performance. VivaceGeorg Philipp Telemann's Sonatas Op. 2, also known as the Six Sonatas for two flutes (or violins), are significant for several reasons. First, they are dedicated to two young music lovers, explicitly appealing to a circle of pupils and music enthusiasts. The pieces foster the ability of musical expression and are characterized by a combination of expansive baroque thematic material and charming galant features in the slow and fast movements, respectively. Telemann was considered one of the leading German composers of his time, and his works, including the Sonatas Op. 2, reflect his significant contribution to the Baroque music era. Robert Schumann (1810-1856) was a talented pianist, music critic, and composer. This work, written in 1838, is one of his most well known pieces for piano. He described the inspiration for the Scenes from Childhood†in a letter to his wife as follows: “ I often seemed like a child to you – in short, I felt as if I were in pinafores again†..I wrote thirty quaint little things, about twelve of which I have selected and called Scenes from Childhoodâ€. This charming arrangement for a duo of two violins is accessible to intermediate students, amateurs and professionals. The rhythm is a little complex, but the left hand work is all in first position.

It's ideal for a teacher-student duet, ensemble performance, or technical exploration.Guitarist Neal Fitzpatrick has a B.M. from the Hartt School where he studied with Alan Spriestersbach and his M.M. from The Yale School of Music where he studied with Benjamin Verdery.
