Published by Han-Ki Kim (A0.518941). Violin Sonata No. 3 “Korean Beauty†Op.289 Sonata No. 3 is a music composed of Korean folk songs, nursery rhymes, and rhythms. The 1st movement was composed in a traditional sonata form with two opposing themes following a short introduction, “Jindo Arirang†and the rhythms of “Semachi†were cited. In the 2nd movement, the lyrical beauty is expressed using the theme of “Arirang,†which is the most representative Korean folk song and is well known worldwide. And for 3rd movement, the Korean nursery rhyme “Eolle Kollery†is cited, which is based on a four-time system, is used to express a humorous atmosphere. For reference, “Eollekoleri†is a language used by children to make fun of others. The last 4th movements are in the rondo form of ABACAD, and between the A and A subjects, three different folk songs, “Miryang Arirangâ€, Cheonan Samgeori(Three-way Intersection), and “Saeya Saeya Palangsaeyaâ€(Blue Bird) are cited, and at the same time, the Korean rhythms “Kutkori†and “Jajinmori†and Semachi were comprehensively cited. Due to the characteristic of the 4th movement in which the theme is used in layers, it was given the nickname “Korean Folk Song Sandwichâ€. This Sonata No. 3 was selected as a designated piece in the first final competition to commemorate the late Kwon Hyuk-ju, and was premiered worldwide by 5 finalists. "No Time to Die" is a song by American singer Billie Eilish. It is the theme song of the 2020 James Bond film of the same name, and was released through Darkroom and Interscope Records on February 13, 2020. The song was written by Eilish and her brother Finneas O'Connell, and recorded in a bedroom studio. At age 18, Eilish is the youngest artist in history to write and record a James Bond theme song.
"No Time to Die" debuted atop the Irish Singles Chart and the UK Singles Chart. It became Eilish's first number one single in the UK and made her the first artist born in the 21st century to top the chart. Furthermore, the song became the first James Bond theme by a female artist to top the UK chart, as well as only the second Bond theme ever to top that chart.
This violin arrangement is of an early intermediate level, in the key of G minor and going no higher than F5, but containing some tricky semiquaver rhythms. In this movement, there is a contrast between the oriental and western characteristics. The first theme is oriental and the second theme is characterized by a Western character. The second movement is in 4/4 time, and it is composed in ABA format in which the theme of a slow nature is exchanged between instruments. The third movement is in 3/8 time, and the lively and humorous theme A and the slow B theme are written in ABA format. The 4th movement is in the form of a variation in which the theme of “Ong Heaâ€, the nickname of the sonata seen in 4/4/time, is cited. An exciting conversation continues. The colorful arpeggio and colorful bariolage are used to heighten the musical atmosphere. This theme originated in Kungsangdo province, south Korea. The meanning of “Ong Hye Ya†is the sound of peoples harvesting barleys. Excited reaction word of on old Korean mostly used in traditional folk songs to uplift the hard work of harvesting. After his studies of music in LevoÄa, Debrecen and PreÅ¡ov, he obtained the position of first violinist at the „Theater an der Wien in Vienna. The same time he studied harmony, counterpoint and started to compose. Since 1854 he received the position as conductor of the orchestra of Johann Sommer in Berlin, he already used the name Béla Kéler. Later he became leader of the military band under count Mazzuchelli. The last twenty years of his life he spent as leader of the spa-orchestra in Wiesbaden and was devoted on composing. He performed in all European cultural centres, as London, Manchester, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Paris, Munich, Dresden, Leipzig etc. Still he often and gladly returned to his home city Bartfeld. Kéler has written 27 big waltzes, 27 marches, 20 csárdás, 18 polkas, 15 songs, 13 galops, 12 overtures, a ballet and several „musical paintings, such as the idyllic Carpathians, his first important composition which praises the Slovakian nature. The most frequently played theme of Kéler´s work are the 32 bars from his csárdás Memory of Bartfeld, op. 31, which were used by Johannes Brahms for his Hungarian dance No. 5 in the original notation of the author. Kéler´s music, in the time of its creation, could hold his own with the Vienna masters Joseph Lanner and „king of waltzes Johann Strauss jun. Already in his lifetime his 138 compositions were edited in 12 European countries. His manuscripts now belong in parts to the collection of the Å ariÅ¡ museum at Bardejov. Then, in the 1840’s he wrote his most famous work - O Holy Night. The original song title was Minuit Chretiens or Cantique de Noël. Placide Cappeau provided the original song lyrics. The song was first performed in Roquemaure by the opera singer Emily Laurey at midnight mass in 1847. It became very popular among the French, much the way that Silent Night was famous elsewhere. In the 1850’s John S. Dwight, a Unitarian minister and music teacher translated the song into English. Adolphe Adam In his younger years, Adam studied organ and composition at the Paris Conservatoire. He also played the timpani in the Conservatoire orchestra. Adam used his savings and borrowed money to open a new opera house - the fourth opera house in Paris in 1847. Unfortunately, the Revolution of 1848 forced him to close. He taught composition at the Paris Conservatoire from 1849 until his death in 1856. Placide Cappeau The poet Cappeau was an advocate of the French Enlightenment philosopher Voltaire. Voltaire was renowned for criticizing the Catholic church, religious intolerance, and dogma in general. Consequently, Cappeau made the Redeemer figure in his song a kind of reformer of injustices, in particular, the problem of original sin. To begin with, people recognized Cappeau’s theology as eccentric, probably even doubtful. Theology In the earlier form of Minuit, the Christ figure descends to intervene with His Father’s plan to punish mankind. Traditional doctrine pronounces that Christ came from love, not to intervene. This version also declares that Christ appeared to expunge the original sin of Adam. Cappeau removed this part from his poem years later, because he just didn’t believe it. He preferred to portray Christ as the reformer of disparity and unfairness. Before long, the writer/politician Alphonse de Lamartine referred to the Minuit as the the Marseillaise of religion.
