Published by MyMusicScores.com (A0.736694). Johann Anton Filtz (1733 - 1760) was just 26 years old when he died! In his short time on earth, he studied law and theology at the University of Ingolstadt, was a cellist in the Mannheimer Hofkapelle and a composer of at least thirty-four symphonies, thirty concertos and a several chamber works. Being a member of the Mannheimer Hofkapelle puts Filtz's compositions clear in the Mannheim school along with fellow composers Franz Xaver Richter, Carl Stamitz, Franz Ignaz Beck, Ignaz Fränzl, and Christian Cannabich. His 6 Symphonies Op. 1 are all scored for strings and continuo and consist of three movement - fast - slow- fast. I can't find a recording of Filtz's Symphony Op.1 No.5 in F major or a modern edition of this work. I do hope that you will find this work interesting enough to play and perform. If you do perform it, I would love to hear a recording.

Published by MyMusicScores.com (A0.736797). Johann Anton Filtz (1733 - 1760) was just 26 years old when he died! In his short time on earth, he studied law and theology at the University of Ingolstadt, was a cellist in the Mannheimer Hofkapelle and a composer of at least thirty-four symphonies, thirty concertos and several chamber works. Being a member of the Mannheimer Hofkapelle puts Filtz's compositions clear in the Mannheim school along with fellow composers Franz Xaver Richter, Carl Stamitz, Franz Ignaz Beck, Ignaz Fränzl, and Christian Cannabich. His 6 Symphonies Op. 1 are all scored for strings and continuo and consist of three movements - fast - slow- fast. I can't find a recording of Filtz's Symphony Op.1 No.5 in F major or a modern edition of this work. I do hope that you will find this work interesting enough to play and perform. If you do perform it, I would love to hear your recording.

Eighth, quarter and half notes. Detáche and whole bowing. Technique: Position:violin/viola-1st position (viola half pos.), cello- 1st and extended position, bass- half, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 3 1/2 position. Bowing: Slurs, Richochet Keys: G, C, F/d, Bb/g, Eb/c, A/f#, b, e, a Rhythm Time signatures: 2/4, 3/4, 6/8 Notes/Rests: whole, eight, dotted half, sixteenth, dotted quarter & eight, eighth & quarter triplets Concerning the Double BassMy experience as a classroom teacher and a bassist has convinced me that a beginning bassist develops best in a heterogeneous string class when playing the same contour as the other instruments. This is achieved by introducing the bassist to 3rd position when the other instruments learn C# and D on the A string. I do advocate marking 3rd position on the fingerboard. Another benefit is that the bassist is able to develop good tone production and intonation more easily on the higher 2 strings.

With music by Jerome Kern and a book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, the show deals with themes of racism, alcoholism, and spousal desertion at a time when social ills were not even a remote part of the typical Broadway fare. Kern's score was well received and contains many familiar songs like Ol' Man River. Make Believe, and Why do I love you?. But after Ol' Man River, It is probably the charming and poignant Bill that is most familiar to modern audiences. This arrangement gives the melody to a solo Alto Saxophone with a string accompaniment that preserves the early 20th-century feel of the original. It will work great on a pops concert, or as a lighter encore to a more serious saxophone concerto.

O segundo movimento também trás um toque do perÃodo clássico enquanto que o terceiro busca elementos vistos nos dois primeiros, mas terminando em um finale pomposo e majestoso.It is with great pleasure that I present Barók, the first concert I wrote when I was still studying violin at the music conservatory. For a long time this piece was kept in the drawer, until I decided to bring it ti light. The inspiration for this piece, as the name implies, comes from the vast repertoire of baroque music. This can be seen in the format of the concerto from the firts to last movements. The second movement also brings a touch of the classical period while the third moves towards elements seen in the first two, but ending in a po,pous and majestic finale.

I got the courage to look deeply within and then I began to write what was to become the first and second songs, respectively Tears from My Eyes: Remember Your Feelings and Tears from My Eyes: Reflection and Contemplation on my Tears from My Eyes: Songs from my Soul album.You will now be able to do just the same for your loved ones with this new music. Your intermediate level to advanced students and even professional musicians should find this to be a welcomed piece to learn and master. It looks deceptively simple but the learning and challenge comes from two smaller sub-ensembles playing together in their own collective units legato con moto while playing together as a whole music ensemble Everyone will enjoy and bathe in the beautiful harmonies that will resonate when the entire music ensemble begins to listen to each while playing together as a group. Your musicians will hone their skills in playing together with just the right balance that this song requires. Your musicians will also hone their skills for subdividing and maintaining an inner beat that is in sync with your conducting because there is no percussion and the notes are freely flowing on and off the down beat yet not sounding heavily syncopated when performed. When will you know when you have achieved the right balance and flow of the music? You will know when, because you will hear it and feel it when it comes into place.
