Composed in the late 1700’s, this Overture comes from Joseph Bologne’s only surviving opera, “L’Amont Anonime.†This arrangement simplifies many of the rhythms and utilizes material from the various sections of the Overture, while still maintaining the spirit and integrity of the piece. The accessibility will open a gateway for young musicians to experience the Bologne’s wonderful music.
