Brahms’ 21 Hungarian Dances were completed in 1869 and sent to his publisher without opus numbers. Only three of the works are original compositions. The music mostly of one to five minutes in length was Brahm’s biggest seller, originally for solo Piano, but once they were arranged for piano four hands, they exploded in popularity.
James Miller has beautifully arranged five of them (1, 5, 7,8 and 9) for Trombone with Piano accompaniment and are appropriate very advanced performers.

The Slavonic Dances are a series of 16 orchestral pieces composed by AntonÃn Dvořák in 1878 and 1886 and published in two sets. Originally written for piano four hands, the Slavonic Dances were inspired by Johannes Brahms's own Hungarian Dances and were orchestrated at the request of Dvořák's publisher soon after composition. The pieces, lively and full of national character, were well received at the time and today are considered among the composer's most memorable works, occasionally making appearances in popular culture. This arrangement for trombone with piano accompaniment of the marvelous and nostalgic dance no. 2 is suitable for classroom, repertoire, recital or for a thoughtful encore.
