It remains the biggest hit of her career with 25 million sales and a seasonal return to the charts every year. This version is faithful to the swinging rock’n’roll style of the original and includes a simple transcription of Boots Randolph’s famous sax solo. It is arranged as a duet for one Clarinet and one Trumpet. Musicians at an early intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal Christmas performances. There are some simple syncopated swing rhythms and a few accidentals accidentals. The overall performance time is around two and a half minutes. This version is arranged as a duet in a Gospel style for one Trumpet and one Clarinet. After flooding had damaged the church organ in Oberdorf, Austria, Mohr asked local schoolmaster, Gruber, to write a Christmas melody to be accompanied by guitar. Silent Night was the result. The carol remained unpublished until 1833, but has since gained huge international popularity. Bing Crosby’s version sold more than 10 million copies and UNESCO has declared the carol an intangible cultural heritageWith a performance time of around two and a half minutes, this version of Silent Night is perfect for seasonal celebrations and concert performances, both formal and informal.
