These Multi-level pieces were initially arranged in an A Version. When thatwas completed, it was then simplified to form a B Version. The B Version has thinner lines and allowsmore time for placing the fingers. The purpose is to permit harpists of variousplaying levels to enjoy performing together.
This is a cool, relaxed, swaying in the breeze four verse arrangement ofa Caribbean favorite in the key of D. The stopped off-beats throughout thepiece sound like the waves gently lapping against a boat. The melody is equallydivided between parts. Dynamics are clearly marked.

Johann met the challenge with first presenting The Blue Danube and then three weeks later giving the Ball attendees its twin, Artist’s Life. This autobiographical piece starts slow, as if just waking up, but once the Waltzes start, it’s all fun.  This arrangement has four out of five of the original Waltzes with all the Waltzes and sections marked to make creating a shorter version easier. It has both a pedal harp and lever harp version that is intended to be performed together. They only differ in the pedal/lever markings and an occasional harmony note. Johann met the challenge with first presenting The Blue Danube and then three weeks later giving the Ball attendees its twin, Artist’s Life. This autobiographical piece starts slow, as if just waking up, but once the Waltzes start, it’s all fun.  This arrangement has four out of five of the original Waltzes with all the Waltzes and sections marked to make creating a shorter version easier. It has both a pedal harp and lever harp version that is intended to be performed together. They only differ in the pedal/lever markings and an occasional harmony note. The dynamics are clearly marked.

It was a celebration of the toast made by Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I during a visit to German Kaiser Wilhelm II. The toast stressed the necessity of bonds of friendship between the two nations. Mr Simrock suggested changing the title to Kaiser-Waltzer to please the two emperors. However, when it was published, only the Austrian Imperial crown was emblazoned on the title page! This stunning arrangement has both a pedal harp and lever harp version that is intended to be performed together. They only differ in the pedal/lever markings and an occasional harmony note. The dynamics are clearly marked. The Harp Ensemble would perform for 2 hours each evening as guests arrived at the UW-Eau Claire’s annual Viennese Ball in the student center (1998-2016). The invitation was extended due to the fact that Eduard Strauss, the youngest Strauss, was a harpist. He conducted his own orchestra from his harp and toured the United States.

The Harp Ensemble would perform for 2 hours each evening as guests arrived at the UW-Eau Claire’s annual Viennese Ball in the student center (1998-2016). The invitation was extended because Eduard Strauss, the youngest Strauss, was a harpist. He conducted his own orchestra from his harp and toured the United States.

In 1905, Fritz Kreisler composed a set of three pieces that he called his old Viennese Dance Tunes in honor of his hometown, Vienna. Liebesfreud is the first piece of the set. Quite often, Kreisler performed the set as an encore. The pedal and lever harp duet versions differ in the pedal/lever markings and harmony notes. They are intended to be performed together. The dynamics and pedal/lever changes are clearly marked.
