It is fun and catchy, and an extended arrangement has also been performed by our Adult Classes (SATB). VOCAL LAYOUT:The melody, or lead line, is divided amongst the vocal parts to give variety. The B.G (background) parts replicate the instrumental accompaniment of the original track, filling out the arrangement and creating the contemporary texture that is at the heart of Pop A Cappella. The Vocal Percussion (Beatboxing) should be a feature, and they provide the arrangement with much of the groove and vibe it needs.The dynamics give an indication which vocal parts should be strongest at any given moment, but changes may need to be made depending on the number / balance of singers, and the strengths of each vocal section. As a general rule, the melody or lead should be strongest, followed by any harmony parts (those with lyrics), followed by any background parts (Mmm's / Dmm's, etc).RHYTHM & BASS:This Beatboxing part is suitable for beginners, and is made up of groupings of patterns. DAVID outraged at the injustice tells NATHAN that the man will die for his unfeeling actions. NATHAN then reveals that he (DAVID) is that man [There Were Two Men – Nathan and the Prophetess’]. Now at last the matter is exposed and David must face his actions. As NATHAN and the prophets leave, one of DAVID’S men comes in and tells him that his son has died. Published by Timothy Piper (A0.1015164). Glorificamus Deum is a setting of Psalm 23. This setting works well in both a church service and a concert setting.It takes the very traditional words of the psalm, and spins them with a fresh new approach. The music takes you on a journey from a quiet beginning, into a jazzy-pop expression of wonder as the words joyfully proclaim that goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.... An added refrain of Glorificamus Deum adds an accent of exuberance throughout the piece. This piece of music is not difficult and is accessible to most choirs. Mostly sung in unison, it goes into two parts briefly, but the two parts are canonic and thus, easy to master. The piece is musically interesting for the conductor of a youth ensemble. The range is just over an octave and has young people singing in their head voices. There are opportunities for controlled expressive singing, and also opportunities for more exuberant let-it-out singing. The piece goes back and forth between the major and minor modes. It has one particularly challenging interval with a descending major 7th. As well, there is a large dynamic range and some excellent opportunities for rubato and watching the conductor carefully in the softer, more expressive sections. This piece is fun, melodic, and will be a favorite with every chorister, the instant it is learned.

A subsequent upbeat rhythm with hopeful vocal call and echo further paints the landscape of a stranger on horseback, gently traversing the Appalachian mountains; rising to a joyous peak, subsequently dying away as the lonesome traveller draws to their journey's spiritual end. Impressionistic allegorical story-telling at it's best. Highly recommended for beginners.
