Full of playful text painting, this is a true art piece, and accessible to even a moderately skilled singer. Wonderfully rocking piano ostinati illustrate the rising and falling of ocean swells and blasting chords the crashing of waves. The spiritual message here is to help us appreciate the joy of life even more intensely in the face of our eventual demise. Alfonso de Arcos was part of the restoration of Jimena de la Frontera (Cádiz), the town of Estepona (Málaga), helping many situations in North Africa, Alcazarseguer (Morocco), being mayor of Tarifa and who treasured the idea of situation and who will take Gibraltar, being its first mayor. In his last years he settled in Seville in the Monastery of Santa Maria de las Cuevas in La Cartuja, where he died. In which everything received in this historical period testamentally, his inheritance, was not given to the family, but to all the needy people of Tarifa and Gibraltar, and whoever needed it via the Cartuja monastery itself. This was the case with his entire inheritance for 200 years. Of which the family is very proud.Today Alicia Dominguez Arcos is from the Arcos family, the generational wave of Alfonso de Arcos. And today she is the first of this family branch who by chance was born in the area. Since the familiar roads are found in other Spanish cities.This Restorer for “Ibero-America is sung in choir†with SATBB voices in Spanish and English, with moments and words in both Latin and medieval Castilian. They are fragments of the fourth act of the opera, in which Alfonso de Arcos is already in his last moments, already being mayor of Tarifa, and being the first mayor of Gibraltar, circumstances of the will, situations with the friars in the monastery of the Cartuja as with the trance of his death.Being an important time in the southern area of Spain, specifically in the Campo of the Gibraltar.

Verbum sapientes defendit.   The Lorem ipsum is a text in pseudo-Latin, loosely inspired in a writing of Cicero[1] and that since the XVI century is used in publishing as filler text. Today it is used with a similar function, in electronic documents or web design. There are several versions of this text (of variable length), all them used to begin in the same way (Lorem ipsum … elit) but goon in different fashions. Therefore, I also invented part of the text, taking care of the metric, structural parallelisms and some hidden allusion to popular music (Tellus, ventus et ignis is Earth, Wind and Fire). The last sentence has even some sense: Verbum sapientes defendit means that the word defends to those who know. In the coda, since it is vocally much more practical to finish in m than in t, I changed the last word: dolor sit ipsum, what carries the existentialist message that pain is oneself.  Musically, the form is a rondo, with an obsessive refrain (based on the sentence we are commenting) which reappears without modifications.  This piece was composed in Bremen (Germany) on 18, 19 and 20 May 2015 (as if from a handbook: one day the text, the following day the music and on the third one big adjustements and the definitive precisions).
