The song is arranged for the wedding ceremony of two members in my fellowship. It is transcribed to F Major since the original Eb Major is too low for the bass part, and keys higher than F is not ideal for our sopranos and tenors.
I repeated the chorus after verse 2 to make the piece longer, the whole piece is around 3 min.
The piano accompaniment is not written to limit the playing, you are welcome to improvise!
The demo is from the recording of my fellowship. We are not all professionals, we got nervous and rushed a bit :(

The Latin text translates as:Mary said to the Angel: Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord, let it be done to me, according to your word.The work is written in four parts, but splits into eight for a short section. It is based around the key of F# major, but modulates to other keys, some of which are unexpected. There are two big climaxes, and the music dies away at the end as Mary understands the meaning of the angel's words. Dixit Maria takes inspiration from the intricate and rich textures of the Renaissance era, while infusing it with the harmonic depth and complexity of more contemporary music.

Perhaps the most often-sung processional hymn on Palm Sunday, “Ride On, Ride On in Majesty†was written in 1820 by Anglican cleric, poet, and scholar Henry Hart Milman (1791-1868) and first  published in Reginald Heber’s Hymns Written and Adapted to the Weekly Church Service of the Year (1827). The hymn references Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem prior to his Passion, as recorded in Matthew 21:1-11.Writing for the Hymnology Archive of The Hymn Society in the US and Canada, editor Chris Fenner notes in his analysis of the text that:“This hymn ... is much less a narrative or paraphrase of the triumphal entry (Matt. 21, Mk. 11, Lk. 19, Jn. 12) than it is a forward-looking hymn pointing from the palms to the cross to [Jesus’] ascended position on the throne. The triumphal entry itself is a fulfillment of Zechariah 9:9 (‘Behold, your king is coming to you . . . humble and mounted on a donkey’). The recurring opening line is possibly an allusion to Psalm 45:4 (‘in thy majesty ride prosperously’). “Some hymnological commentators connect this hymn with the idea of the great reversal in Philippians 2:5-12, where we find the Christ who humbled himself in a crucified death, later to be exalted, name above all names, to which every knee will bow. As Canadian hymn scholar Stanley Osborne observed, this hymn’s poetic strength is in its exploration of that duality:'Objective, robust, confident, and stirring, it possesses that peculiar combination of tragedy and victory which draws the singer into the very centre of the drama. One More Arrow originally featured as the closing song of 1983's album Too Low For Zero.It's a perfect song to include in a programme on the subject of life and remembrance. Bernie Taupin's beautiful lyrics present an elegy for a departed friend or father figure who now lies in the soft brown earth that holds him, forever always young. The lyrics drew from Elton John one of his most gorgeous melodies and I have kept much of the harmony intact in this arrangement, although the second verse gets a bit more ambitious. In addition, the melody is shared out between the various vocal parts, meaning that the basses don't have to spend the entire performance going doo doo!Scored for Soprano solo, SATB á capella, this moderately difficult arrangement involves frequent splits in the Soprano and Bass parts, occasional splits in the alto and none at all in the tenor! In my arrangements, I like to go one step beyond simply presenting the original song for choir, so in the second verse there's the gentlest of subtle nods to Paul Simon's The Boxer at the mention of he could have been a boxer and the lyric knocked me down provides an opportunity for a choral cascade from top to bottom. And just before the final chorus, the choir's vocal lines represent the trajectory of an arrow, shooting up to a top F in the soprano solo part before descending into the new key of B flat major for the closing section.For medium to advanced chamber choirs.
