So far they havenâ??t quite achieved the fame that their talent, skill and originality deserve.Alex Horne is also known as the creator of â??Taskmasterâ?, a TV program that laughs at comedians, rather than with them, as they tackle tasks that require lateral thinking and a razor sharp mind.The Taskmaster Theme is tricky only because of its speed. Itâ??s also annoyingly short, but for UK audiences, at least, itâ??s an instant crowd-pleaser. Then again, taken a little more slowly it's accessible to intermediate players and lasts a little longer too! Next day I noticed that a different James Bond film was listed on the television pages for that evening and I just couldn’t resist publishing my arrangement of the definitive theme tune.
It suits an early intermediate to intermediate guitar group and the three parts are all of slightly different standards so there’s something for everyone here.
School teachers will find this piece comes together a lot more easily than some of the rather complicated arrangements that are out there, and it makes it perfect for an informal concert.
And adult ensembles who are just starting out will find it is a fun item to play too.

This is my second arrangement of this charming piece - the first is for two guitars at an intermediate standard. This version (for 3 guitars or large ensemble) brings this lovely piece within the reach of less experienced players - there are some little tricks I've used to make the piece much easier to play without sounding noticeably different!
This arrangement is ideal for a school concert as well as for an adult trio who are still finding their feet with ensemble playing. The parts use familiar chord shapes and the arrangement is free of barré chords.
