Published by John Fries (A0.1418995). TYPE JOHN FRIES IN THE SEARCH BAR TO SEE ALL I HAVE TO OFFER. Thanks, John. The song tells the story of a poor Southern cotton farm-family during the Great Depression. Cotton on the roadside, cotton in the ditch. We all picked the cotton but we never got rich. Well, somebody told us Wall Street fell, but we was so poor that we couldn't tell. The song references President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal.

Ethel Waters first sang it at The Cotton Club night club in Harlem in 1933 and recorded it that year. The original handwritten lyrics, along with a painting by Ted Koehler, were featured on the US version of Antiques Roadshow on January 24, 2011, where they were appraised for between $50,000 and $100,000. The lyrics show a number of crossings out and corrections.

The road, also known as the A93, runs between the towns of Blairgowrie and Braemar, and is considered one of the most challenging and scenic drives in Scotland. The origins of the name Devil's Elbow are unclear, but legend has it that the devil himself had a hand in shaping the road. According to folklore, the devil was tasked with creating a road through the hills of the Scottish Highlands, and he chose to build it along the most treacherous and winding path he could find. As he worked, he encountered a particularly difficult section of the road where the hills formed a sharp bend, and he bent the rocks to create a tight hairpin turn that became known as the Devil's Elbow. In reality, the road was likely shaped by centuries of erosion and human activity. The section of road that makes up the Devil's Elbow is part of a larger route that has been used for centuries by traders, farmers, and travelers crossing the Scottish Highlands. The road was improved and expanded over time, and the modern A93 was officially completed in 1932.Despite its treacherous reputation, the Devil's Elbow is a popular destination for tourists and driving enthusiasts. The road offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys, and the hairpin turn at the Devil's Elbow is considered a particular challenge for drivers and cyclists.Today, the Devil's Elbow remains a beloved part of Scotland's landscape and history, and its legend continues to capture the imaginations of visitors and locals alike. Whether you're a traveler seeking adventure or a history buff looking to explore Scotland's rich cultural heritage, the Devil's Elbow is a must-see destination that will leave a lasting impression.

C Instrument - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1101538 By Jack Leonard with Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. By Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein. Arranged by Davi Rocha Campos. Broadway,Film/TV,Instructional,Jazz,Musical/Show,Standards. Lead Sheet / Fake Book. 1 pages. Davi Rocha Campos #704916. Published by Davi Rocha Campos (A0.1101538). This score is in G, but, the audio is in Ab How to read accidents in sheet music Lesson 9 Signs of change. This class is about sharp #, flat b and bequadro (I can't do this sign by keyboard. That's why it's important to watch this class that will be on the card in the upper right corner). There are still the signs of double sharp x or ## and double flat bb. Don't be folded bequadro. I ask permission to use pleonasm Sharp # function: raises the pitch of the note by a semitone up. Makes the note a semitone higher. B-flat function: lower the pitch of the note by a semitone down. Makes the note a semitone lower. Double sharp x or ## function: raise the pitch of the note by one step. Makes the note a higher pitch. Double-flat bb function: lower the pitch of the note by one tone. Makes the pitch of the note a lower pitch. Bequadro function (I can't make this signal by keyboard. That's why it's important to watch this class that will be on the cards in the upper right corner). Nullify both the sharp (whether it's doubled or not) and the flat function (whether it's doubled or not). The bequadro still cancels the accidents of the key signature. Lesson 10 Bars and bar numbers It is a vertical line placed on the pentagram. It serves to organize the writing of the score in a Cartesian way. When the amount of beats exceeds the measure, it is necessary to place the vertical line and continue in another measure. This is one of the reasons to know the bar count. Another reason is when a large group is going to rehearse a song and it is often necessary to stop the rehearsal in order to make necessary adjustments. In this case, to optimize the rehearsal, the music is not restarted from measure 1, but from a few measures before the adjustments made, whether by the group, conductors, etc. The barline cancels out the accidentals that occur. For example, if an F# note appears in the middle of a piece of music, when that F moves to the next measure, it will no longer be sharp. The barline also cancels the bequadro in this situation, that is, if by chance the music is not set to a key other than C major or A minor, when the bequadro appears precisely on the keynote note, in the next bar if it is not spelled again, the key signature accident takes effect. Broadway,Classical,Film/TV,Instructional,Jazz,Musical/Show. Lead Sheet / Fake Book. 1 pages. Davi Rocha Campos #707811. Published by Davi Rocha Campos (A0.1104596). This score is in A, but, the audio is in Ab. How to read accidents in sheet music Lesson 9 Signs of change. The Broad Black Brimmer is an Irish Republican folk song written by Art McMillen and first recorded in 1972.The song narrates the story of a boy whose father died before he was born, fighting in the Irish Republican Army (IRA). The narrator is asked by his mother to try on his father's old uniform and as he does so, she tells his father's story. The title refers to the wide brimmed hat worn by many IRA guerrillas in the 1920s Irish War of Independence and Irish Civil War. Also referenced are a Sam Browne belt, britches, a trench coat and a holster – items of equipment commonly associated with the IRA of that era.

C Instrument - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1512163 By Tony Bennett. By Bart Howard. Arranged by Marcelo Borba. Broadway,Classical,Historic,Jazz,Musical/Show,Singer/Songwriter. Lead Sheet / Fake Book. 2 pages. Marcelo Borba #1087204. Published by Marcelo Borba (A0.1512163). **Fly Me to the Moon** (originally titled **In Other Words**) Fakebook is one of the most iconic songs of the 20th century, especially associated with jazz and pop, and made famous by various artists, including Frank Sinatra. The song was written in 1954 by composer and lyricist Bart Howard, and since then, it has become a classic.### Origin and CompositionBart Howard wrote the song intending to create something simpler and more direct, in contrast to the more complex songs popular at the time. Inspired by the style of Cole Porter, he crafted a romantic and engaging melody. Initially, the song’s title was **In Other Words**, and the phrase Fly me to the moon was just part of the lyrics, but over time, the phrase became so memorable that the title was informally changed to **Fly Me to the Moon**.### First Recording and SuccessThe song was first recorded in 1954 by singer Kaye Ballard, but it gained wider recognition when **Peggy Lee** performed it on a television show. Numerous artists recorded their versions over the years, but the most famous recording came in 1964, when **Frank Sinatra** included his version arranged by Quincy Jones on the album *It Might as Well Be Swing*, accompanied by the **Count Basie Orchestra**.### Connection to Space ExplorationInterestingly, the song’s popularity coincided with the space exploration era. Sinatra’s recording became particularly symbolic when NASA adopted the song during the Apollo program. Sinatra's version was played during the Apollo 10 mission and was also part of the Apollo 11 playlist, the first mission that took humans to the moon in 1969.### Cultural ImpactFly Me to the Moon is a timeless song, re-recorded by countless artists in various genres and styles, including jazz, bossa nova, and even pop. Its romantic lyrics and the theme of traveling to the moon captured the imagination of generations, connecting romance, adventure, and exploration into a single package. This song is a symbol of American popular culture and the optimism of the space race era, and it is constantly associated with Sinatra's legacy and classic jazz.

Recording began on July 7, 1969 and was completed on August 19, 1969. Its length is 3' 06. George Harrison sings, plays guitar, moog synthesizer, and claps his hands. Paul McCartney sings the chorus, plays the bass, and claps his hands. Ringo Starr plays drums and claps his hands. Because he is recovering from a car accident, John Lennon did not participate in this song. There was also the participation of orchestral instruments: four violas, four cellos, one bass, two picolos, two flutes, two alto flutes and two clarinets. According to George, it was composed one sunny morning in Eric Clapton's mansion. Like in If I Needed Someone, another composition by him, a guitar solo sounds throughout the song. It is one of the most famous and re-recorded Beatles songs.

I Wished on the Moon is a song composed by Ralph Rainger, with lyrics by Dorothy Parker. Bing Crosby sang the song in The Big Broadcast of 1936.Crosby recorded the song on August 14, 1935 with The Dorsey Brothers Orchestra and it reached the charts of the day peaking at No. 2 during a seven-week stay. At the end of the long recording session, Crosby decided to sing only a single chorus of the song in the middle of an orchestral version instead of the full ballad treatment used in the film. This led to a long argument between the singer and producer Jack Kapp. Eventually Crosby prevailed. Crosby recorded the song again in 1954 for his album Bing: A Musical Autobiography.
