Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue is a song written by Richard Leigh, and recorded by American country music singer Crystal Gayle. It was released in June 1977 as the first single from Gayle's album We Must Believe in Magic.In a 2004 Country Music Television interview, Gayle stated that Leigh wrote the song because his dog had one brown eye and one blue eye. However, in a 2016 interview, Richard Leigh set the record straight and said that this was not the case. His dog, Amanda, a terrier, had two brown eyes. The song became a worldwide hit single. In the United States, it topped the Billboard country music chart for four weeks, and was Gayle's first (and biggest) crossover pop hit, reaching number 1 on the Cashbox Top 100 for two weeks, and number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks.

All the scales and exercises are in all 12 Major keys and there are some extra patterns and exercises which are not in the video. I strongly recommend that you watch the video first as I explain and demonstrate how the Bebop Dominant Scale works well in improvisation with all the chord notes falling on the downbeats. Rather than trying to learn them all in all 12 keys straight away I would use them for reference and try to apply them to dominant 7th chords in jazz standards. The more standards that you apply them to the more keys you will cover but it will feel less like an exercise.

Stand by Your Man is a song recorded by American country music artist Tammy Wynette, co-written by Wynette and Billy Sherrill. It was released on September 20, 1968, as the first single and title track from the album Stand by Your Man. It proved to be the most successful record of Wynette's career, and is one of the most familiar songs in country music. Sixteen Tons is a song written by Merle Travis about a coal miner, based on life in the mines of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. The line another day older and deeper in debt from the chorus came from a letter written by Travis's brother John. This and the line I owe my soul to the company store are a reference to the trucking system and to debt bondage. Under this scrip system, workers were not paid cash; rather they were paid with non-transferable credit vouchers that could be exchanged only for goods sold at the company store. This made it impossible for workers to store up cash savings.
