This musical piece is comprised of two twelve-tone rows, atonal music based on synthetic scales unique to each composition, which are based on medieval plainsong chants whose systemization was begun by Pope Gregory I during the sixth century AD. A simple explanation of this composition is that it is the world's oldest notated music combined with modern 20th-century music theory that eschews traditional melody and harmony for synthetic scales unique to each composition. The music is complex and dissonant, although the conversion of the two plainsong chants to twelve-tone rows retains a semblance of a tonal center at given points throughout. Still, the entire piece of music is that same melody utilized harmonically: just forward, backward, upside-down, backward and upside-down, rhythmically altered, transposed, displaced up or down, or split into smaller cells and then reprocessed in the same way mentioned above. I have also borrowed the Baroque Period techniques of the two-part invention and four-voice fugue combined with serial musical techniques that may offend the average listener's traditional musical sensibilities but make logical structural sense. I used the Dies Irae (The Day of Wrath) and Tuba Mirum (The Last Trumpet Call). The authorship of the chants has been attributed to many saints from Gregory to Thomas of Celano but probably evolved from early Jewish psalmody carried forward by the earliest Jewish converts to Christianity, which further developed into trochaic metered poetry by successive monks. It was set to memorized plainsong heralding back, in part, to Jewish worship. The text of the Dies Irae is very similar to Zephaniah 1:16​. The last trumpet call that raises the dead in Christ is comparable to the Apostle Paul's account written in his first epistle to the Corinthians Chapter 15 and first epistle to the Thessalonians Chapter 4. The two epistles may, or may not, be related to the Final of the Seven Trumpets bringing God's Judgement on the earth spoken of in Revelation 11. The relationship of the trumpet mentioned in the epistles to those written about in Revelation divides theologians, but I digress into unrelated matters. Despite the modern theory, the music is still movingly visceral because of its conceptually descriptive nature. It is full of aural symbolism following the Dies Irae and the Tuba Mirum, making it a type of program music ala Hector Berlioz of the Romantic Period. The music is, therefore, genuinely eclectic because it has blended qualities of several musical periods. The final section of the video explains the symbolism. The music difficulty is virtuosic, extremely taxing to play.

He was often credited as S. Tulikov in his musical works and his cameo appearance in Russian television series. Serafim Tulikov is known for his patriotic and officially ideological compositions.In his more lyrical songs of his early career, Tulikov developed his style of heartfelt and quiet melodies. Such songs include My Love, my Life (Жизнь моÑ, любовь моÑ) (lyrics by Anton Prishelets), I Love You, my Sea (Я люблю тебÑ, море) (lyrics by Anatoly Salnikov), Above the Moscow River (Ðад МоÑквою-рекой) (lyrics by Lev Kondyrev), and Golden Altai (Ðлтай золотой) (lyrics by Tsezar Solodar). The composer also made his contribution to a subgenre of the Soviet song, the army song. He authored a song dedicated to the Soviet Pacific Fleet, Above the Bleak Kuriles Range (Ðад Ñерой КурильÑкой грÑдою) (lyrics by Nikolai Bukin), a work which combined elements of heroic devotion to the Motherland with pensiveness and longing for the far-away family and its comforts.In reflecting on the sources of inspiration for his songs, Serafim Tulikov later confessed that it came mostly from the reminiscences of his homeland, Kaluga, and most of the elements within the songs were present in Kaluga. In the early 1960s, Tulikov would write a song dedicated to Kaluga, properly entitled The Town of My Youth (Город юноÑти моей) (lyrics by Mikhail Pliatskovsky), a sweet and unassuming yet sincere and heartfelt song.During Khrushchev's Virgin Lands Campaign of bringing the vast steppes of Kazakhstan and South Siberia into agricultural use, Tulikov composed another well known song, Komsomol Direction (КомÑомольÑÐºÐ°Ñ Ð¿ÑƒÑ‚ÐµÐ²ÐºÐ°) (lyrics by Tsezar Solodar), which declared: On the go! His name is sometimes seen as Artsibushev, Artsybuchev, Artzibushev, Artzybushev, Artchibousheff, Arcybusev, etc.Artsybushev was born at Tsarskoye Selo in 1858. His legal studies were at the Imperial School of Jurisprudence in Saint Petersburg, after which he practised in St Petersburg as an attorney. He also dabbled in music composition, and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov gave him private lessons in music theory after Mily Balakirev said his works showed some promise.He also became acquainted with the music publisher Mitrofan Belyayev and participated in his regular weekly gatherings called Fridays (Vendredis). To mark these occasions, a group of 10 composers including Artsybushev collaborated on a 16-part suite for string quartet, called Les Vendredis. His contribution was a Serenade in A major. He also collaborated with others on Variations on a Russian Theme, in versions for both string quartet and orchestra.He was a member of the St Petersburg City Council. After Belyayev's death in 1903 he became chairman of the board of the Belyayev publishing house, in which capacity he had significant dealings with Alexander Scriabin. From 1908 to 1917 he was President of his city's branch of the Russian Musical Society, and later succeeded Rimsky-Korsakov as President of the Board of Trustees for the Society for the Encouragement of Russian Musicians.In 1920 he moved to Paris and became a director of the Belyayev publishing house there. Born in Czudec near Rzeszów, he studied at the Music Society in Kraków, then he studied piano with Kazimierz Hofmann, and finally in 1873 he went to Munich, where he studied at the conservatory of piano theory and playing. Then he devoted himself to pedagogical work, initially in the company oo. Jesuits in Tarnopol, then at the Music Society in Rzeszów. He spent the last few years in Przemyśl, where, together with his wife, Wanda née Wostrowska, also a pianist, he founded a music school and rendered significant services to the improvement of the city's musical culture. From 1901 he was the director of the Tow. In Przemyśl. Cyrbes' compositional legacy is small, it includes twenty-odd opuses, including the mass (in the manuscript), songs for one voice, piano and choral pieces. Particularly popular were choral compositions, often performed by Echo from Lviv under the direction of Jan Gall, a friend of Cyrbes and a colleague from the time of his studies in Munich, under the great theorist Józef Rheinberg. Gall highly appreciated Cyrbes' choral pieces, as evidenced in a letter to SA Krzyżanowski, in which he strongly recommends them for publication.
