Mandy is a romantic song that has had several versions. It was recorded for the first time in 1971, with the title Brandy by Scott English, however, it achieved popularity with the version of the American Barry Manilow in 1974, being his first song to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and his first golden song.1​2​ In 1992 Italian music producer Marco Parmigiani produced a Eurodance version on 12-inch vinyl. It was released in Italy on the Disc-O-Very Records label, and a year later it was published in Spain on the mythical Barcelona label Max Music. The version sounded a lot in the Valencian discos of the 90s. It was later re-recorded by the Irish group Westlife in 2003, becoming the number one version of the UK chart. The song also appeared in several movies, such as Can't Hardly Wait, being performed by various characters. One theory is that because of Manilow's alcoholism, Brandy became Mandy. Scott English is thought to have written Brandy after his favorite dog that he let get away. English claimed (as quoted in The Billboard Book of Number One Adult Contemporary Hits) that an assistant phoned him early that morning to ask who Brandy was, and he angrily lied that it was a dog so that she would conversation will end quickly. When Manilow recorded Mandy he was not satisfied with the electronic rhythm of the original English version, so he preferred to sing it as a ballad and was much more pleased with the results. The song was parodied on Gift Grub under the title Andy on The Drew Carey Show, where the name Mandy is replaced with Kyra. Who also performed a parody of Mandy was the German singer LaFee at the age of 13. Thanks to this imitation, called Handy, it was that a music producer discovered her in a singing contest for children in Germany. Korean actor, singer and model Jang Keun Suk sings this song during the movie You are my pet It also appeared in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (originally aired November 2006), and in an episode of The Simpsons, Homer sings it to Margo as Oh, Margo. Years later, in an episode of Family Guy, Manilow himself sings Gregg a version of his song, Oh, Quagmire..

Gobbi was known as a great violinist, but he was also a gifted pianist.  This score is a transcription of his composition from the only record left of him playing the piano in Radio El Mundo in the last years of his life. The tango is dedicated to Jesus of Nazareth as can be heard in the voice of Gobbi himself on the recording.Redención became one of Gobbi's most famous tangos, perhaps partly to the version played by A. Piazzolla and his quintet, but surely also because of the beauty and depth of its music.Alfredo Gobbi was a great forgiven in tango history. His work as composer, conductor, arranger and violinist was admired by great tango musicians. As Piazzola said Alfredo was the father of all of us, those of us who make modern tango.

Ophiuchus is known as the healer and is based on Ascelpius, son of Apollo. He holds the head and tail of the constellation Serpens, and in some illustrations the snake is wrapped around his waist. This gives us the symbol physicians use today. Ascelpius was such a successful healer, he even brought people back from the dead. He learned his healing arts from Chiron (constellation Centaurus), but learned the resurrection trick by watching a snake place a particular herb upon the body of a dead snake which miraculously returned to life. Ascelpius used the same herb on people. Hades worried that his realm would suffer loss of souls because of the healing power of Ascelpius, so Zeus killed him and placed him in the sky as a constellation. This piece was written in the same key as Serpens, Phrygian Major. Contrapuntal textures dominate this Late Intermediate Piano Solo from “88 Constellations†a collection by Heather Cattanach featuring one piece of piano music for each of the 88 constellations (to match the number of keys on a standard piano). She was one of the earliest advocates and scholars on historically informed performance practices, and she made the first-ever recording of J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations on the harpsichord.Landowska was born in Warsaw in 1879 and started playing the piano when she was four years old. As a child, she studied with Jan KleczyÅ?ski and then Aleksander Michalowski. Kleczynski noticed in her lessons that she had an affinity for older Baroque music, and he didn't want to impose his sensibilities onto the already apparent musical prodigy. Consequently, her mother decided that Kleczynski was too lenient of a teacher and sent her to study with the stricter Michalowski, who was a Chopin specialist. When she was 16 years old, Landowska moved to Berlin to study composition with Heinrich Urban, but was discouraged by the rigid curriculum. However, while in Berlin she composed songs and orchestral works, and she met her future husband, Henry Lew. In 1900, the young couple moved to Paris and got married. There she became associated with the Schola Cantorum, and was introduced to Vincent D'Indy, Albert Schweitzer, and other prominent performers and musicologists of the era.Throughout the next ten years, Landowska toured Europe and Russia, and dedicated herself to researching the authentic performance practices of older music. Her husband assisted her in this research, and they often utilized libraries that they encountered while touring. She concluded that it's more appropriate to play Baroque keyboard music on the harpsichord rather than on the piano. By 1909, Landowska and her husband published the book Musique Ancienne, which was the culmination of all of their research regarding the performance practices of Baroque music. She also started teaching harpsichord classes in 1913 at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin.Ten years later, Landowska made her debut in the United States, performing with the Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Stokowski. Also in 1923, she performed in the world premiere of Manuel de Falla's El retablo de maese Pedro, where she met Francis Poulenc and asked him to write a harpsichord concerto for her. She also commissioned a concerto from Falla in 1925, which would prove to be a modern masterpiece. In 1929, Landowska performed the premiere of Poulenc's Concert champêtre in Paris. By this time, she had settled in a town north of Paris, and was teaching from her school L'Ã?cole de Musique Ancienne, which she established in 1925. She offered private and group courses and an annual summer concert series that was very popular. Landowska taught and performed in this capacity until 1940, when she had to abandon the school, her extensive library, and her home because of World War II. With the assistance of her student Denise Restout, she escaped to Portugal and then sailed to the United States, and eventually settled in Lakeville, Connecticut. She continued to perform and teach in the U.S., and at the age of 70 she recorded the complete Well-Tempered Clavier, which was highly acclaimed. Landowska was 80 years old when she passed away in Lakeville in 1959.

He looks for an exit out of the house but he has no luck. Time is running out and he needs to get out or hide before he is caught.Whiskers finds a safe spot to hide once again behind a rotting bookshelf that does a decent job to conceal himself. He can relax now but he needs to be quiet to make sure that the other creature doesn’t find him. He waits for a while and doesn’t hear much movement but he can’t be too sure. Whiskers thinks that the other creature must have lost interest and ventured elsewhere so he decides to leave his hiding spot and explore the house some more.
