It utilizes an orchestra composed of piccolo, flute, oboe, B flat clarinet, bassoon, horn, B flat trumpet, trombone, tuba, violin, viola, cello, double bass, timpani, and tambourine, including piano and organ accompaniment. The vocal parts are an SATB choir which sings the Scriptural words. This is a great sacred piece for choirs and orchestras as well as church services. This is a piano accompaniment: see also all the individual instrumental parts under the same title.

Bach for Violin Solo, strings and alto solo was now arranged for C instruments and Piano accompaniment. You will be delighted to play this beautiful and satisfying piece of music by J. S. Bach that lifts the spirit and soul. The St Matthew Passion (German: Matthäus-Passion), BWV 244, is a Passion, a sacred oratorio written by Johann Sebastian Bach in 1727 for solo voices, double choir and double orchestra, with libretto by Picander. It sets chapters 26 and 27 of the Gospel of Matthew (in the Luther Bible) to music, with interspersed chorales and arias. It is widely regarded as one of the masterpieces of classical sacred music. The original Latin title Passio Domini nostri J.C. secundum Evangelistam Matthæum translates to The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ according to the Evangelist Matthew Originally for alto voice, violin solo and string orchestra. The arias are in da capo format (ternary form). Erbarme dich, for alto, and Mache dich, mein Herze, rein, for bass, are examples of such arias in Part Two of the oratorio. In these movements the singers are accompanied by one or a few solo instruments and continuo, occasionally completed by other instrument groups of the orchestra. Flavio Regis Cunha is a pianist, conductor and composer from São Paulo - Brasil. He is currently finishing his doctorate at Mackenzie Presbyterian University where he works as conductor of the Mackenzie University Orchestra and resident composer. Dance of the Lanna is a portrayal of a festival in Northern Thailand; Lanna refers to the people there, and the festival celebrates rebirth of their heritage. The festival is comprised of several dances depicting events of nature; this piece portrays two of the dances: Dance of the Silk Weaver and Water is Life. The piece opens with portrayal of expressive Thai flute solo, proceeding to portrayal of Thai string orchestra and the PiNai oboe, leading to fast-paced announcement of dancers, moving into the themes of each dance. The style is slow, dramatic, unique movements, appearance of simplistic (but difficult) dances, using piano techniques unique to the style of Thai music. The piece was written for a piano student who wanted to portray music of his country on the piano. The mp3 is from computer notation. Please see the YouTube link for performance where pianist adapted opening to flute and added a dancer.

Nominated for the 2011 Latin Grammy in the category of Best Contemporary Classical Composition and for the 2012 Latin Grammy for the CD Prelúdio 21 - String Quartets for which he participated as producer and composer, Sergio Roberto de Oliveira has been actively participating in the Brazilian and international music scenes over 17 years as a composer. His work has made an impact outside Brazil, particularly in the USA and England, with lectures, interviews, concerts and musical publications. He is one of the most active and most widely performed composers in Brazilian contemporary music. His work has been widely disseminated by groups such as Quarteto Radamés Gnattali, Duo Santoro, Música Nova, GNU, Quarteto Colonial, and many others.In England his performers included two of the leading British musicians: baroque flutist Stephen Preston and recorderist John Turner. His piece Expresso for solo alto recorder was published by the Peacock Press and was featured in concerts of The North West Composers' Association and The British Academy of Composers and Songwriters, and his CD Sem Espera was released in London (upon the invitation of the Brazilian Embassy) and in Manchester (at the University of Salford).In the United States the works of Oliveira have been part of the scene since 1999, with dozens of concerts and commissions by groups such as Mélomanie (who included Angico, by Oliveira, in their latest CD). Other American performers of his works include the Ciompi Quartet, Tracy Richardson, Susan Fancher, Tom Moore, and many others. Falls House Press has published his works Faces and Mot pour Laura in the United States. Various articles in specialized journals and sites have cited the composer, such as the Flutist Quarterly (Circus Brasilis - The flute music of Sergio Roberto de Oliveira), Early Music America (Something New for Early Music), Andante.com (The heirs of Villa-Lobos), 21st Century Music, Musicabrasileira.org, etc. Sergio Roberto de Oliveira has frequently been invited to lecture at American universities, and has spoken at more than a dozen institutions including Princeton and Duke. In 2009 he was Artist-in-Residence at Duke University. In addition the USA and the UK, Oliveira's music has also been played in many countries, with invitations for concerts exclusively with his music in México, Italy and Holland (Amsterdam). The Spanish Magazine Sonograma has published 2 interviews with Sergio.Sergio is the founder and a member of the group of composers Prelúdio 21. The group is one of the most active worldwide. It holds a distinguished place in Brazilian contemporary music, having been active for 15 consecutive seasons, with a permanent series of monthly concerts since 2008. In 2011 the group released the CD String Quartets, with performances by the Quarteto Radamés Gnattali. Oliveira is also a member of the group of composers Vox Novus, based in New York.To commemorate 15 years of activity as a composer, Oliveira released a box set with 4 CDs, as well as a CD with composer Mark Hagerty, and produced the series QUINZE, with 13 concerts including his works, between July and October of 2012. More than 130 musicians, including 28 composers, participated of QUINZE (CDs and series).His discography includes 14 CDs as producer, 14 as composer, 22 as general producer, 2 as arranger and 2 as pianist. His catalog of compositions includes approximately 115 works for various ensembles, including Symphony Orchestra. Sergio Roberto de Oliveira is a member of the Latin Academy of the Arts and Science of Recording. He died from pancreatic cancer in 2017.

Chiquinha Gonzaga's first composition, in 1877, born out of improvisation in a choro circle at the home of composer Henrique Alves de Mesquita, the polka received the name Atraente (attractive) for dragging the instruments present. It was a resounding success (15 editions in 1877) and projected the name of Chiquinha Gonzaga to fame - at first uncomfortable - in the patriarchal society of the Second Reign. The sudden popularity of the author was seen as a provocation by her family, who began to destroy the sheet music sold on the streets by slave boys. It became a classic of Brazilian instrumental music and became part of the great choro repertoire. It was published in 1932 as No. 11 of the 2nd series of Alma Brasileira, choros for flute. Atraente was recorded by musicians such as Antonio Adolfo, Altamiro Carrilho, Benedito Lacerda, Clara Sverner, Eudóxia de Barros, Henrique Cazes, Leandro Braga, Marcus Viana, Maria Teresa Madeira, Muraro, Paulo Moura, Pixinguinha, Rosária Gatti, Talitha Peres, TurÃbio Santos, in addition to orchestras and bands. At the end of the 1970s, HermÃnio Bello de Carvalho wrote the lyrics, in records made by Leci Brandão, OlÃvia Hime and Edison Cordeiro.

These 9 concerts are some of the many instrumental works by Antonio Vivaldi. We decided to transcribe these piano concertos for the form only, the melodic intensity, the harmonic behavior and style which in our opinion we felt it was important as a reference to describe the Vivaldi's works. Are concertos extracted from very important works such as: The estro armonico Op.3 of 12 concertos published in Amsterdam between 1717 and 1722, dedicated to Ferdinando de 'Medici. Il cimento dell'armonia e dell'invenzione Op.8 of 12 concerts, opera of the four seasons composed around 1723 and published in Amsterdam in 1725 and that some of the concerts Vivaldi wrote for Johann Pisendel of Dresden. Later the same Pisendel It made some elaborations on these concerts. Other concerts we transcribed were extracted from works for flute, string orchestra and continuo. In this small collection are inserted concerts that the author has transcribed taking as a basis the manuscripts, some kept at the National Library of Turin and others kept at the Saxon State Library in Dresden. Therefore all the transcripts are original and unique of its kind.
