Whether you want to play it yourself, or just follow Dudley Moore´s magnificient interpretation: This is an “as close as you can possibly get†transcription of Moore´s version in the bar scene from the movie (hence the video link). Played like this, an instrumental version can tell a whole story. There is another, later version (from 1987, I think) in a Henry Mancini TV-show where Moore played it slightly differently. However, I prefer the movie version. I especially admire Dudley Moore for his articulate use of the middle voice played with the left hand. Duration: approx 04.00 min. Advanced level. I´ve listed quite a lot of songs: Mancini Classics, Movie Themes and classic Pop songs for several kinds of instrumentation. Browse ;-) Have fun with my arrangements!

I am a Singaporean pianist and composer. I have studied the piano since 5 years old under Mr Joseph Toh and I graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a Diploma in Music in 2013, majoring in Music Composition under Malaysian composer Mr Chong Kee Yong and Singaporean composer Mrs Joyce Koh Bee Tuan. About Sky I & IIThis set of short pieces is composed in 2013. Sky I is a piece of chance music. This piece is composed using the I-Ching, which is one of the compositional tools by the famous US composer, John Cage. I chose a total of 37 out of the 64 notes for this piece, of which they are deduced from the hexagram in the I-Ching.Sky II is a piece derived from Sky I, hence one can say Sky I is the fundamental of Sky II. The note values of Sky II are the opposite of Sky I. This means that a short note value in Sky I is actually represented in Sky II as a longer note value. the range of the notes in Sky II are translated accordingly to Sky I. Sky I & II is dedicated to my piano teacher and uncle, Mr Joseph Toh.

Anyways, about the piece, This piece is my second project out of three and unfortunately you guys won't be able to see the third project unless if I figure out how to write it in Finale. This project is all a Twelve-Tone composition written in Piano while my third project is an Indeterminacy. I never really been a fan of Twelve-Tone music because I always thinks it sounds really ugly so that is why I had the idea to call it Misfortune, symbolizing depression or bad luck. Misfortune can be a good solo piece and in my opinion, it is an easy piece to practice. The total length of the piece is 2:48 and this is open for anyone to purchase and perform.Anyways, that is really all I have to say about the piece. Although known primarily for his trumpet playing as the leader of the Tijuana Brass, Alpert sang lead vocals on this solo recording, arranged by Bacharach. The recording originated when Alpert, while visiting at Bacharach's office, asked, Say, Burt, do you happen to have any old compositions lying around that you and Hal never recorded; maybe one I might be able to use? Alpert decided that the song should be released as a single recording, and it reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart in June of that year, remaining in the top position for four weeks.

This is when i studied the holy bible from the time i got up to the time i went to bed for years i must have read it 1000 x or even more anyway it was at the time i remembered the scripture saying in the future says the LORD i shall write and pin thy word (law) in there hearts so i said cool lord may i ask you for that gift? instantly GOD knocks me out without any pain and i had a dream i saw him put the holy bible in my mind and heart from then on i new it all off by heart ye true but Satan hated the gift GOD gave me and coursed me to forget it all i was tempted like no other i only new GOD EXISTED and Satan was his enemy i had forgotten it everything else Satan appears to me saying the same temptation he said to GOD SON and offered me to be king of all the cosmos i said no way Satan i rather be in poverty then a king against GOD i said no no way and said i will war with you Satan for if you are GODS enemy you are also my enemy i also said what JESUS CHRIST said to him not remembering the holy bible at all by nature the holy spirit withing me gave me this song as i wrote it after i finished i sang it to GOD as i remembered about his son i sang it to him also after i finished singing i then was helped by GOD and remembered the holy bible ones again i said wait one moment this song is coming from the book of revelation and true it dose i said how did GOD son knew about me and that i will write this so many centuries before my time? this strengthened me to know he knows all things and said thank you to him so on Satan still gets me to forget it all from time to time and tempts me but i pass by the help of the holy spirit he then helps me remember again thanking him now

This piece is one of an album of my contemporary classical compositions. Yes, I too wince at offering you something saddled with this oxymoron--contemporary classical--but this phrase is now an irresistible, commercially recognized category defying any principled protest from the ranks of wounded musicological curmudgeons like me. The style here employs a tonal palette that celebrates the more or less common practice of composers from J. S. Bach to Ravel, Prokofiev, and the 20th century American songbook. You will see that I reject Arnold Schoenberg's assertion that by 1910 tonality had exhausted itself, and needed to be reinvented according to an aesthetics that dismiss our scales and harmonies as purely arbitrary human conventions with no basis in nature. On the contrary, I believe that we are endowed by our nature to respond emotionally to our traditional materials of music in the same way as nature equips us to respond to the taste of food and drink. We differ in our taste for savory, sweet, and sour, but it is wrong to say that our very capacity to taste is a merely cultural convention. There is biology, and then physics too! By the same standard, it can't be true that one person's taste for arsenic is as valid as another's taste for beer or kumquats. The major triad is a force of nature, like the sun, wind, and rain! I also like big fat juicy 13 chords, and contrapuntal weaving of melody! I believe the purpose of music is to sway us emotionally, and if it can uplift us too, so much the better! While I am not ashamed to write a bare triad, unadorned by chromatic alterations (much less by clusters of chord collisions) I have nevertheless employed much complicated harmony. Moreover, some passages are written in a spiky harmony that might be analyzed as bitonal, as at the meno mosso section, beginning at measure 112, where the mood I wanted to set inspired me to write the theme in C minor while the left hand climbs up from the bottom of the keyboard in a widely spaced, D-flat 13 arpeggio. I have composed these pieces with the skills of intermediate to early-advanced pianists in mind. This piece demands the ability to play some counterpoint between two voices in one hand. There is a section that requires one to play moderately fast octaves, but nothing as difficult as the G minor Prelude of Chopin (to say nothing of his harrowing octave Etude from Opus 25!) While there are many polyrhythmic passages, none is more complicated than two-against-three notes. All said, there is nothing here to make your hands (or, I dare say, your ears) bleed. The performing time is around nine minutes and a breath or three.
