Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1030831 Composed by Michael C. Brown. 20th Century,Romantic Period. Score. 23 pages. Michael C. Brown #4051. Published by Michael C. Brown (A0.1030831). This piece celebrates the life and mourns the loss of my granddaughter, Paisley Gladys Hogan, who was but 2 months old when she was called to Heaven. These are the words I wrote just before her funeral.... I. The Presence - She was here. I held her the day she was born. I held her and watched her smile at me less than 24 hours before she departed. She only knew love. No one around her ever showed her anything else that humanity had to offer; like hatred, heartache, pain, control, or anger. II. The Shock - She feels a Hand beckon her to leave her mortal coil, and she enters into a world we cannot yet reach.. With no one home, her former body ceases to wake. The unimaginable has happened and we struggle to reverse it. Finally, it becomes clear that we cannot. She sees us cry and she wonders what is happening. Having never known sorrow, she only sees that love didn't cause this response. She wants to comfort us with the love she knows, but we do not yet sense it. III. The Questions - One word has confounded mankind from its creation; Why? We have never found an acceptable answer. We ask, Why did this happen? and What did I do? and What didn't we do right? and Why couldn't it have been me? among others. We only know that her absence has carved holes in our hearts shaped like her. She tries to tell us, You can still love me. I just cannot be seen by you now. It does not mean your love cannot make me happy. I still want it. I still feel it. Please feel my love for you. IV. Letting Go - The day comes to bid farewell to the vehicle by which she came to us. We struggle to cope that we will see her face no more except in pictures. Because of the brevity of her life, memories are few to relive, but to do so is to recall happiness. In sorrow, we return her to the earth. All that is left is to return to recall, to talk to her, to bring flowers and other gifts, and to await the day we follow her. V. Remembering - The days and years follow. Normalcy slowly sets back into our lives. The holes in our hearts will never fully heal. But the salve of her love and her memory help to soothe the ache. We still return to where we placed her mortal home, where we laugh and cry in tandem, where our hearts ache to fill the void left by her departure. It will never really get better, but it will become easier for her love to dull the sting of her absence. VI. The Reunion - One by one, we will feel the same Hand bid us to come. The same events will befall those left behind each time. One by one, she will greet us as we reunite with her. We marvel at how she has stayed with us as we stay to comfort those we had just bidden farewell. The rest cannot be imagined by we that remain..........

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1217783 By The Ritchie Family. By Ary Barroso and S.K. Russell. Arranged by Timothy Stapay/Liberace. Film/TV,Jazz,Latin,Singer/Songwriter,Standards. Score. 6 pages. Timothy Stapay #814316. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1217783). This arrangement of Brazil is written as performed by famous piano artist, Liberace. This is the same version that he performed on his emmy-award winning TV. show and in concerts around the world.Aquarela do Brasil (Portuguese: [akwaˈɾɛlÉ du bɾaˈziw], 'Watercolor of Brazil'), written by Ary Barroso in 1939 and known in the English-speaking world simply as Brazil, is one of the most famous Brazilian songs. Ary Barroso wrote Aquarela do Brasil in early 1939, when he was prevented from leaving his home one rainy night due to a heavy storm. Its title, a reference to watercolor painting, is a clear reference to the rain. He also wrote Três lágrimas (Three Teardrops) on that same night, before the rain ended.Describing the song in an interview to Marisa Lira, of the newspaper Diário de NotÃcias, Barroso said that he wanted to free the samba away from the tragedies of life, of the sensual scenario already so explored. According to the composer, he felt all the greatness, the value and the wealth of our land, reliving the tradition of the national panels.WÅ‚adziu Valentino Liberace (May 16, 1919 – February 4, 1987) was an American pianist, singer, and actor. A child prodigy born in Wisconsin to parents of Italian and Polish origin, he enjoyed a career spanning four decades of concerts, recordings, television, motion pictures, and endorsements. At the height of his fame from the 1950s to 1970s, he was the highest-paid entertainer in the world!Lyrics:Brazil, where hearts were entertaining JuneWe stood beneath an amber moonAnd softly murmured Someday soonWe kissed and clung togetherThen, tomorrow was another dayThe morning found me miles awayWith still a million things to sayNow, when twilight dims the skies aboveRecalling thrills of our loveThere's one thing I'm certain ofReturn, I will, to old BrazilThen, tomorrow was another dayThe morning found me miles awayWith still a million things to sayNow, when twilight dims the sky aboveRecalling thrills of our loveThere's one thing that I'm certain ofReturn, I will, to old BrazilThat old BrazilMan, it's old in BrazilBrazil, Brazil

Smoke Gets In Your Eyes is arranged as played by piano artist, Liberace. This version is from the rare early album Liberace At Home. Smoke Gets in Your Eyes is a show tune written by American composer Jerome Kern and lyricist Otto Harbach for the 1933 musical Roberta. The song was sung in the Broadway show by Tamara Drasin. Its first recorded performance was by Gertrude Niesen, who recorded the song with orchestral direction from Ray Sinatra, Frank Sinatra's second cousin,[1] on October 13, 1933. On October 30, 1946, Nat King Cole recorded the song in his trio with Oscar Moore on guitar and Johnny Miller on double bass, during a live broadcast from New York City.[10] Cole performed it on television in 1957 for The Nat King Cole Show. Władziu Valentino Liberace (May 16, 1919 – February 4, 1987) was an American pianist, singer, and actor. A child prodigy born in Wisconsin to parents of Italian and Polish origin, he enjoyed a career spanning four decades of concerts, recordings, television, motion pictures, and endorsements. At the height of his fame from the 1950s to 1970s, he was the highest-paid entertainer in the world!Lyrics below:They asked me how I knewMy true love was trueI of course repliedSomething here inside cannot be deniedThey said someday you'll find all who love are blindWhen your heart's on fire,You must realize, smoke gets in your eyesSo I chaffed them and I gaily laughedTo think they could doubt my loveYet today my love has flown away,I am without my love (without my love)Now laughing friends derideTears I cannot hideSo I smile and sayWhen a lovely flame dies, smoke gets in your eyes(Smoke gets in your eyes, smoke gets in your eyes)Smoke gets in your eyes
