To give unity to the composition, the author adopted a series of chordal motifs that serve as leitmotifs, formed by two or three chords symbolizing some basic concepts that cyclically reappear in the various pieces (love, life, death, etc.).The ensemble comprises four parts: first tenor, second tenor, baritone, bass, which can be performed by soloists or by a choral group. In the piece Bella Cantatrice, it is possible to entrust the main melody to a tenor soloist. Although a reduction for piano is printed in the score, its purpose is only to support the voices during rehearsal. Public performance is intended for a cappella voices.

However, this work intends to affirm for the listener that while things may change, we always adapt to keep up, and that nothing is ever truly lost to change. This work approaches the matter of change, perhaps ironically, via minimalistic techniques and an uplifting perspective. This song is an entirely secular work in Latin. It touches on some minimalist techniques and could be integrated into secondary school music lessons as a means of discussing minimalism and also as a means to introduce students to singing in Latin while avoiding religious ties. This work has been arranged for TTBB choir (a cappella) from the original SATB version and is approximately 4.5 minutes in duration. Published by Sandra Milliken (A0.774756). Khe Sanh (named after the Vietnam War's Battle of Khe Sanh) was written by Don Walker, the pianist for the Australian rock band Cold Chisel. It tells about an Australian Vietnam veteran trying to deal with his return to civilian life – womanising, post traumatic stress disorder, drug addiction, working on oil rigs and flying helicopters, travelling the world in search of answers. It is a life, he says, that only other vets (veterans) would understand.Released in May 1978, the song achieved only modest success on the national charts at the time, but did reach No. 4 in Cold Chisel's home town of Adelaide. In 2001, APRA, the Australasian music industry's peak body, listed Khe Sanh at number eight in a poll of all-time best Australian songs. In November 2014, the song was added to the National Film and Sound Archive's Sounds of Australia registry of historically, culturally and aesthetically significant sound recordings.Khe Sanh still receives strong airplay on Australian radio stations with a classic rock format.This arrangement for male choir (TTBB) features a piano accompaniment with guitar chords.
