The hymns are scored in four parts and could be used with virtually any combination of conventional wind instruments. They are presented in a set of three books and include full four-part instrumental scores plus separate parts in a variety of useful transpositions. Parts 1 and 2 (soprano and alto) are provided in B flat, E flat and C (8ve higher than concert); Part 3 (tenor) in B flat (9th above concert), E flat, F and C (bass clef) and Part 4 (bass) in B flat, E flat and C. There’s also an optional but useful simplified keyboard part intended for less experienced keyboard players. The left hand plays only the bass part most of the time, with the right hand part kept as simple as possible. It could be used as the basis of an accompaniment and means that you can use the arrangements as solos, duets or trios. It does “borrow†the theme from Hall of the Mountain King by Edvard Grieg in his Peer Gynt Suite.This is a great piece for the fall or spring concert. All the wind ranges are within the range of a 2nd-year or 1st-year 2nd semester year player. Only the Clarinets, Alto Sax and Trumpet have split parts. This is mostly for range and harmonic expansion. 2nd clarinets never go above the break. Low brass/WW are mostly unison, but they do have some independence. At the end, ms. 66, there is an optional blood-curdling scream that is NOT notated in the parts. Have fun with this.All sections get the melody and percussion even has an 8-measure feature. Published by Drennan Music Publications (A0.921039). This one was requested by a student a few years ago and it turned into my Concert Band’s favorite piece that year. A few things about this piece. First thing is that I had a large number of solid Alto Saxophone players when I arranged this. So there are two Alto Saxophone parts that are fairly even in skill level. Second thing is that there are a few punches that I pulled and a few I did not when it comes to simplifying the original piece for beginners. The triplet at the end of the main melody I changed to two eighth notes, and the Clarinets stay under the break. I left the accidentals as is, so there are Câ™s and a few others that are challenging. The harmonies in the B section of the main melody were left as is, as well as the rhythm in measures 41 to 47.

Published by Christian Paulson (A0.1135076). I originally wrote Parker's Lullaby for our orchestra to celebrate the birth of my first grandchild, Parker. Then I wanted to explore the sounds of the concert band with this piece...so away I went. A couple of fun things went into writing this piece originally. It had to be a lullaby, represent the anticipation of her arrival and the peacefulness of her sleeping, while contrasting her whimsical side with her bold and dramatic side. A couple of other things. The chords are rather jazzy because grandpa is a rather jazzy guy. At letter C, the drum part is grandpa being playful while the flute melody is her grandma doing the same. The ranges are comfortable allowing your band to sound full and confident. I think your horns will enjoy their heroic part in the climax. I'm very pleased with how this turned out. It was important that it kept its simplicity going from strings to band. I hope you enjoy it.

Published by Lorenzo Bocci.Here's to You is a song by Ennio Morricone and Joan Baez, released in 1971 as part of the soundtrack of the film Sacco & Vanzetti, directed by Giuliano Montaldo. The song is a tribute to two anarchists of Italian origin, Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti who were sentenced to death by a United States court in the 1920s. The lyrics for Here's to You make use of a statement attributed to Vanzetti by Philip D. Strong, a reporter for the North American Newspaper Alliance, who visited Vanzetti in prison in May 1927, three months before his execution.  «If it had not been for these things, I might have lived out my life talking at street corners to scorning men. If I Can't Have You is a classic disco song written by the Bee Gees in 1977; it initially appeared on the multi-platinum 'Saturday Night Fever' soundtrack in a version by Yvonne Elliman, released in November that year. The Bee Gees' own version appeared a month later as the B-side of Stayin' Alive. Elliman was originally going to perform How Deep Is Your Love, as she was known as a ballad singer, but the Bee Gees' manager, Robin Stigwood, decided to swap things around. Stigwood's decision proved a success as the soundtrack's first single, the Bee Gees' version of How Deep Is Your Love, shot to number one, followed to the top spot by the soundtrack's second and third singles, also by the Gibb brothers, Stayin' Alive and Night Fever. Elliman's If I Can't Have You, produced by disco pioneer Freddie Perren, was released as the fourth single off the 'Saturday Night Fever' album in February 1978. The song was covered by 80's star Kim Wilde in 1993 and charted well in several countries, along with a later version by Jess Glynne in 2016.
