Quickly, it becomes darker, as the clouds and thunder emerge (down came the rain and washed the spider out). After the period of darkness and melancholy, the song's key gets brighter and brighter, symbolizing the clouds slowly dissipating and sunlight emerging (out came the sun and dried up all the rain). The song ends joyously (and the itsy bitsy spider climbed out the spout again), celebrating the spider's survival of the perilous weather. Fantasy on Itsy Bitsy Spider has the following instrumentation: Flue/Piccolo, Oboe, Clarinet, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, Timpani, Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Cymbal. The Young Oak March was composed by Lithuanian composer Kazys DaugÄ—la (b. 1960) in 1989 for the first international festival Trimitas held in the city of Vilnius. The spirit of the march reflects the hopeful mood of the long-depressed people of Lithuania. The melody near the midpoint is taken from the Lithuanian folk song The Young Oak Grew in the Forest, which is with 3/4 and 2/2 meters, but as for marching everything goes symmetrically. In this context the young oak refers to a young man whose mother wanted him to be a ploughman, not a soldier. But as the text continues, if you haven't been a soldier, you can't be a good ploughman. The Young Oak - a popular patriotic march in Lithuania composed during the Lithuanian revival. It is often performed by military bands during Lithuanian statehood celebrations and festivals. Promises, Promises is a musical with music by Burt Bacharach, lyrics by Hal David and a book by Neil Simon, based on the 1960 film 'The Apartment' written by Billy Wilder and I. A. L. Diamond. The story concerns a junior executive at an insurance company who seeks to climb the corporate ladder by allowing his apartment to be used by his married superiors for trysts. The song 'Promises, Promises' happens right towards the end of the musical where things pretty much have fallen apart, made perfectly clear in the music by very agitated meter changes and angular harmonies. Released in 1968, the song was featured on an album by Dionne Warwick shortly before the musical debuted on Broadway and has since been covered by other artists, including Sean Hayes as part of the 2010 revival production.
