Ryan (A0.1503656). This piece tells the ficticious story of an inept, incompitant, yet quite pompous prefect conquistador and his poor attempt to colonize an indigenous village. The natives keep out smarting him, and sabotaging his plans. Things get so out of hand, that he can't even keep his own people in line. This makes the Prefect irate and ill-tempered, more so to his own company, than to the natives! What am I to tell the queen?!. I can't have my name soiled like this!. Upon hearing that the Prefect's superior officer, the Legate of Iberia, will be coming to check up on his progress, he comes up with a plan. He'll make a deal with the natives to make it look like he's been kidnapped and murdered. Dressed as conquistadors, the natives won't say a word and the Prefect's second in command will say that he's been killed. To the Prefect's surprise, this actually worked and the Legate was fooled. Upon the Legate returning back to Iberia, the now defunct Prefect conquistador has made arrangements with the natives in exchange for food and supplies to fool the Legate each time he visits.This rousing march is a great opener or closer for any concert. Perfect for high school, college, or municiple/adult continuing level community band! The music here perfectly encapsulates this swashbuckling, yet haphazardous story!

It is the sixth piece in the composer's first book of Preludes, written between late 1909 and early 1910. The title is in French and translates to Footprints in the Snow . The piece is one of four Debussy preludes in book # 1. Thought to be inspired by the hugely popular French impressionist painting , called Snow at Louveciennes, Debussy's inspiration from Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky is evident in this piece through his utilization of a block-like dissonant chord just before the middle part of the piece My own personal touches on this piece, included extended chord progression and formation with small variants on melody and counter melodies, Also, more importantly, the expression of the performers interpretation as well as my own for the creation and musically paint a magical snow scene.Arranged and scored for piccolo, 6 flutes in c, alto flute in g, bass flute , opt. contra bass flute and / or optional cello.Perfect for large and small ensembles. Perfect for winter concerts, prelude services, recitals, concerts. I thought this impressionist piece, much like the the famous french paintings are a perfect pairing for winter, snow days, and environmental effects . Obviously, this is a professional arrangement, and super difficult to find on SHeetMusicPLus , compared to so many other simple and basic , cookie-cutter formatted arrangementsThis arrangement, however is true professionally arranged and definitely will stand out and shine for you ensemble or choir.A must for flute choir libraries!!

It was once a target for ships venturing out to find the New World. It has been used to ferrybarges and livestock. Some simply used it for sailing and transportation throughout the years, and some to catch fishto provide for themselves. The life on this river has been diverse, yet fulfilling over the years and will continue to beso in the future. The melodies in this piece were taken from the shape of the St. Johns River from its upper point in Jacksonville, to where our part of the story ends in Palatka. Notice the falling and rising 8th note runs at the beginning, thisrepresents the rise and the fall of the river as it enters Jacksonville from the Atlantic Ocean. The first strain is alinear, yet very regal melody where the heavy beats follow the contour of the river as it runs south. Here you canpicture the ships coming from Europe across the ocean and the excitement they felt when they reached it. Thesecond strain is more playful and represents the life that the river has provided for people for centuries. The Triorepresents the calmness and civility when Palatka was discovered, and the happiness the settlers must have feltknowing they had found their perfect place to call home. The break strain represents the hard work and efforts thatwere put forth to secure the land and build a community. There would have been many triumphs and manysuccesses, but the journey would have not been easy. The final strain is the culmination of the piece. The original song embodies beauty as a whole, but the lyrics use that embodiment to describe the beauty of a partner the singer is falling in love with. The verse section of the song is soft but eventually thrusts the listener into a powerful chorus section. The song creates this warm summer like feeling, hence its use of major and minor 7th chords, which is very fitting for its time of release (July 15, 2022). To add to the warmth of the song, JVKE changes the pitch of the song to A=432 hertz tuning, instead of the conventional A=440 hertz tuning. Many people believe that A=432 hertz tuning decreases the listener’s heart rate and sounds more peaceful, which which perfectly fits the mood of the song.
