Published by FDPublications (A0.1346610). Lullabye (goodnight, My Angel) for wind band was commissioned by Pano Mata and the ATSSB Region 1 for the 2022 All-Region Symphonic Band Clinic and Concert. Pano had heard many beautiful arrangements of the work by Billy Joel, but wanted something for the wind band medium that he could use for his guest clinicianship with the Region 1 All-Region Symphonic Band. The result is this arrangement, which works well for strong high school bands and collegiate ensembles alike. The piece has many opportunities for lyrical artistic moments, but also works well in a straightforward manner for ensembles with little rehearsal time. It is designed to be somewhat flexible with instrumentation, to accommodate the naturally diverse instrumentations of bands of all sizes.

Stoller’s was chosen out of half-a-dozen submissions to be the show’s new theme, and show runners at the time had simply briefed entrants to compose ‘something good’. Stoller used a multitrack recorder and enlisted the help of two of his friends to record the iconic theme in his East London basement. In May 2010, British copyright collective PRS for music, revealed that the 'Match of the Day' tune was the most recognisable TV theme in the UK. From a private residence to screens across the nation, over 50 years later, this iconic theme sums up everything to do with the 'beautiful game' and now freshly available for concert band.

We've been through many good and bad emotions. We have been recieving news, some good, some upsetting. Some days we are so happy, we want to jump everywhere and on others we want to bawl our eyes out. And that's how it is. Jolt plays through all of these emotions, the good and bad ones. It represent how sometimes, we are so happy about something, but it doesnt work out. It represents how sometimes, we hope for something that will never occur. It represents how sometimes in life, there are things that upset us. But in the end, we are stronger than those bad feelings. We are stronger than sadness, than the madness we sometimes feel dealing with those challenges. Sometimes we feel thrown around. At the end of the day, it will always get better. It will always work out. __________________________________________________ *As you may have noticed, this piece is graded with three different levels. Most instruments have two levels: beginner and advanced (grade 1 and 4), but some of the most common instruments in a concert band (flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet and percussion) have an extra intermediate level (grade 2.5). This piece has been written for bands or classes that have student of different levels, but still want to play together. The Story of a planet falling under siege of invaders, A Planet Under Siege follows a group of soldiers who must infiltrate an alien ship as the only hope to save their planet.A Planet Under Siege is written in a style similar to a film or game score, and works to tell a story in a fun and creative way. It serves as a great entry into a concert program where you might want to spice things up with something less traditional or experimental. This is a good piece for High School groups, to give them a piece that might be easier to play, but just as fun to listen to. The changing key and time signatures, though, can also add a bit of challenge and can really test them in following their conductor and counting rests to be sure they enter in time. Being a shorter piece, only barely hitting four minutes, it can act as a small filler piece as well, that can also spice up a concert and add a bit of extra excitement into the theater!

You will notice that there are no notes in the very high register for any instrument, and that articulations are kept easy.It's fun to play because every instrument has a good part! Being a former horn player, my policy is to never again write after-beats for the french horn. Whoever had the idea that french horn and alto horn players would only play after-beats must surely rank as one of the worst villains in music.Your horn players will thank you for choosing this march.
