It is a feminist reimagining of the 1979 song by Robert Hazard. It received Grammy nominations for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Record of the Year.This arrangement was written for a chorus of young women, and as such the ranges are relatively narrow. Vocal ranges are:Soprano 1: Eb4 - F#5 (Eb above middle C to F# above high C)Soprano 2: Bb3 - E5 (Bb below middle C to E above high C)Alto 1: B3 - B4 (B below middle C to B above middle C)Alto 2: F3 - G4 (F below middle C to G above middle C)For four bars in the penultimate chorus, there is one split in the parts, to allow for the girls they wanna, wanna have fun call back. In a quartet, this line could be omitted.
