Both composers filled their works with deep emotion, transcending the strict musical rules of the period. Liebe is a Canon, with the first part following the second throughout, one bar behind, like lovers in intimate conversation.Liebe is written for players at an intermediate standard and upwards. The melody should always carry momentum and adding plenty of expression will help convey the style. Liebe has a performance time of around three minutes.
