This arrangement is designed to be a suitable for choirs with a small (or new) Bari section. The Bari line often sings with either the Soprano or the Altos, effectively making this a (mostly) two part harmony piece, with a few three-part harmony sections. PLEASE NOTE that the number of copies purchased available for printing is the collective number of piano vocal and vocal score collectively, not that number of copies of both.

Published by Walker Press (A0.799982). Dumbarton's Drums speaks to the love of a woman, which is probably returned by the man, but we're never entirely sure (unless I'm being cynical). The melody is lovely and soft. While this arrangement maintains the simplicity of the melody, it explores several moods in odd key changes. Most of the keys change logically, although they may need more rehearsal than the different verses. This was performed very successful by a community chorus in which two women regularly sang tenor, so the depth of the sound was never compromised.

This arrangement is for SSA and Piano, and sits at a easy-medium difficulty level for high school groups, but this is a certainly possible piece for middle school groups as well.This arrangement features a soloist in the first verse with hums and 'oo's in the background; the chorus is sung by all voices in 3-part harmony. All voices get the melody on multiple occasions during the piece. Additionally, this arrangement features a unique canon effect between verses one and two, where each voice gets a turn to 'oo' the first four notes of the main melody (B4-C5-E4-G4) before going to other harmonies. HOW CAN I KEEP FROM SINGING, also known as MY LIFE FLOWS ON IN ENDLESS SONG, was composed by Robert Lowry who fit his lyric to an early American folk tune. First appearing shortly after the American Civil War, the hymn gained popularity over the next century. Pete Seeger revived the hymn in the 1960s, and it has continued to gain in popularity since then. Irish artist, Enya, recorded it in 1991 in her album, Shepherd Moons. This arrangement is for an INTERMEDIATE SAB (soprano, alto, baritone) CHOIR with a piano accompaniment. This haunting and nostalgic melody and harmonies will be welcome in both worship services and secular programs wherever music is loved. A separate sheet for the voices is included along with the score.

I composed Dissolved over the stiflingly hot and humid Sydney summer of 2018-2019. It’s all about finding relief from the heat by plunging your body into the sea at twilight. I went with some friends to Sydney’s Coogee Beach one late afternoon, just as the sun was setting. We parked in a side street and walked barefoot across the road, still warm from a full day of blazing sunlight, over the prickly grass, down the concrete steps onto the soft sand and into the ocean. The feeling of being cleansed by this salt water was so strong, I felt compelled to write a song about it.
