This is a great arrangement for a budding SSA choir or a 2-part choir that wants to try something with a little more challenge.The Ella Fitzgerald solo (which I will link) is one of the best vocal improvisations of the era. The introduction on the recording is not featured here. Her solo is.Please contact me if it would be helpful for you to receive a written out bass part, piano part, guitar part, or drum part. Most people who buy my charts don't want it. That being said, I would love to do that for you (at no extra cost to you) if you would like. Just provide me with proof of purchase of the arrangement and I'll email those to you.For Printing (to save paper), you only need to print the full score for the director. You will only need two copies of each rhythm section part (one for the performer, one for the director) and 10 copies of your SSA charts for your students.If you would like a perpetual license for your school (so you don't have to buy more copies since that option isn't available at Hal Leonard). Lightning. Water. Snow. is a setting of two poems by Emily Dickinson, for SSA voices. The composer, Allyson B. Wells, has long had an affinity for Dickinson's poetry. One of her earliest publications was a set of four of Dickinson's poems, entitled Songs from Emily, published in 1975 by Shawnee Press, when her name was Allyson Brown. The two poems in this new work contrast anguish and whimsy, as Dickinson tells of a lightning storm that may be perpetual, and then of how things are learned: Water is taught by thirst.....Birds, by the snow. This piece is approximately 2'45, and is suitable for high school, college, or professional choirs. Allyson B. Wells is a member of BMI. This piece is a 2016 Choral Contest Entry.

Published by John O. Sullivan (A0.961613). Michael's setting of the Sanctus from hisRequiemreminded me of Mozart's Laudate Dominum. The joyful expression of praise and meter/tempo similarities inspired me to make this SAB arrangement of Michael's original two tenor solos from his beautiful setting of the Requiem. I made this SAB setting for the Traditional Choir I direct at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Everett,Washington. It works very well in the liturgies as a joyful choir motet. It is also suitable for choir and school concert venues.

Lux Aeterna By Sally Whitwell On 12 June, 2016, the international LGBTQ+ community was hit hard with the news of a mass shooting in one of our community’s entertainment venues, a nightclub in Orlando, Florida. Forty nine people were killed, and fifty three wounded in what was deemed a terrorist attack. At the time, it was the deadliest shooting by a single gunman in United States history. I wrote this piece in the wake of that news, I suppose as a way of processing this attack on my community. The club was hosting a special ‘Latin Night’ that night, so the majority of the victims were Hispanic. Culturally, Hispanic populations have a very strong Roman Catholic tradition, so it seemed the right thing to incorporate a piece of the Catholic Requiem Mass. The Lux Aeterna is the Communion antiphon for that Mass. Lux aeterna luceat eis, Domine:Cum Sanctis tuis in aeternum: quia pius es. Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine: et lux perpetua luceat eis. Cum Sanctis tuis in aeternum: quia pius es. May light eternal shine upon them, O Lord, with Thy Saints for evermore: for Thou art gracious. Eternal rest give to them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them: With Thy Saints for evermore, for Thou art gracious. Everlasting light shine upon them
