The Japanese Harp contains 23 Japanese folk songs and lullabies taken from Japanese folksongs and Koto literature including the popular ?Sakura? transcribed from Kototablature and adapted for the large Lever Harp. The arrangements are appropriate for a harp with2 octaves below middle C and tuned to Eb or C (those in both tunings noted with a in Contents). The songs are very accessible and appropriatefor mid-beginner to intermediate players with limited or easy lever changes andendeavor to remain true to the sound of the Koto zither. Some of the songs in the book include bothan easy and intermediate arrangement (noted with an * in Contents) as well as some song versions withwords.
