String Trio Cello,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1197551 Composed by W. A. Mozart (1756-1791). Arranged by Stephen W. Burch (ASCAP). Bollywood,Chamber,Classical. 13 pages. BurchMusic #796725. Published by BurchMusic (A0.1197551). Mozart composed seventeen Church Sonatas between 1772 and 1780. Although not as familiar as his other more famous works, these short one-movement pieces in sonata allegro form sparkle with classical gaiety. This arrangement of Church Sonata #5 keeps that elegant style.

String Ensemble,String Trio - Digital Download SKU: A0.903776 Composed by Alan Edgar. 20th Century,Contemporary,Holiday,Multicultural,World. Score and parts. 14 pages. Alan Edgar Ted Moon #6561443. Published by Alan Edgar Ted Moon (A0.903776). CONFUCIUS SAID: STRING TRIO violin, viola, cello. An interpretation of some of the annual ceremonial music honouring the great Chinese philosopher. Quotations of his sayings about music are included, for a performer to speak. This piece is inspired by the Confucius Birthday Ceremony, probably dating from the Chou Dynasty, 1046-221BCE.  The music, called Shao Music, has been played in all its magnificence since then. The event is highly choreographed and controlled musically, aiming to reflect and celebrate Confucius' philosphies of peace. Traditional Chinese music is primarily melodic, and western ears may feel the lack of harmonic richness. A player should read out the Confucius quotation at the beginning of each movement.   How to play... The melody and some of the bass line consists of the rows of pitch-classes in verses 1 and 2 of Honouring Confucius (Ta Tsai Kung-Tzu)  I have introduced rhythmic variety, harmony and some phasing and use the traditional pentatonic scale as rendered by the Chinese classical music instruments-drums, bells, flutes, and strings. The flute symbolises balance.  A man without...is a very short saraband, a courtly dance using all the pitches of verse 2 in order, with the strings muted.   It was by music... uses major triad fanfares where possible, with an occasional portamento.  Music produces a special... is a sensuous waltz: as with most of the movements, I have shamelessly used a tonal harmony under the notes of verse 4 (illustrated).  When music and courtesy... plays the notes of Verse 6 in quintuple time over a drone.  If one should desire...is a barefoot parade (gymnopedie?) in Satie's style.    Duration 7 minutes. String Ensemble Cello,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1112138 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 41 pages. Regis Bookshar #714324. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1112138). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - String Septet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a String Sextet, consisting of 3 Violins, 1 Viola and 3 Violoncellos, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (41 pages). The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a String Septet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

So, in addition to this arrangement for a String Sextet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition.

Chamber,Classical,Contest,Festival,Standards,Wedding. 70 pages. Jmsgu3 #798993. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1201012). Sonata No. 6, “Durnitz†for String TrioScore and performance parts:  Score: 32 pages. Duration: ca. 28:54Mozart's Sonata in D major, K. 284, also known as the Durnitz Sonata, is a solo piano piece that was composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1775. It is one of Mozart's more complex and ambitious piano sonatas and is generally regarded as one of his greatest works for the instrument. The sonata is divided into three movements:1.   Allegro - The first movement is a fast-paced and energetic sonata-allegro form, characterized by its lively theme and virtuosic passages. The movement begins with a bold and dramatic opening statement, followed by a series of contrasting themes and variations. The development section explores new harmonic and rhythmic territory, while the recapitulation brings the movement full circle with a restatement of the main themes.2.   Rondeau en Polonaise - The second movement is a graceful and elegant rondo in the style of a polonaise, a popular dance of the time. The main theme is a lilting melody that is first presented by the right hand and then repeated with variations throughout the movement. The middle section features a contrasting theme in a minor key, which is then developed and expanded upon in the latter half of the movement.3.   Theme and Variations - The final movement is a set of six variations on a theme, which is introduced at the beginning of the movement. Each variation explores a different aspect of the theme, from playful embellishments to dramatic flourishes. The final variation brings the piece to a rousing and triumphant close.Overall, Mozart's Sonata in D major, K. 284, is a masterful example of the composer's virtuosity and innovation and remains a beloved and influential work in the piano repertoire. Mozart's Sonata in D major, K. 284 is also known as the Dürnitz Sonata because it is believed to have been composed for Count Johann Joseph Anton von Dürnitz, an accomplished amateur flautist who was a patron of Mozart.Mozart was in Munich in 1775, and he met Dürnitz there. According to Mozart's letters to his father, Dürnitz played the flute very well, and Mozart was impressed by his abilities. It is believed that Mozart composed this sonata specifically for Dürnitz, who may have performed it with Mozart accompanying him on the piano. There is no concrete evidence to support the theory that the sonata was named after Dürnitz, but it is widely accepted as the most likely explanation for the nickname. In any case, the sonata remains one of Mozart's most popular and beloved works for solo piano.

It's in six movements, each movement dipping into three general styles: pandiatonic, expressionistic, and common practice tonality (regular music). Its overall tone is neoclassic, using minimal techniques to provide a satisfying experience. The clarinet is for a B-flat model; it gets at least adequate time to breathe. The string parts are fairly easy, though on one occasion the cello bounces around a bit. There are some varied time signatures that might be too challenging for very young people. There are a variety of key signatures. The composition is tonal.

Woods Only, Arrangements #779347. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1179372). This adaptation was intended for a small group of string trio, where the original essence of the piece was kept, however, with a reduction in the duration, where only the main themes of the opening were extracted. As it is simplified, it is intended for beginner students of instrumental music who want to enter orchestral music, even in a simplified and reduced form, and can be used by music teachers with their students in ensemble practice in situations such as academic recitals, didactic concerts, or assessment tests. The Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67, known as the Symphony of Destiny, by Ludwig van Beethoven, written between 1804 and 1808, is one of the most popular and best known compositions in the entire repertoire of European music. The four movements are characterized by orchestral homogeneity, being, at the same time, an example of alternation: the first movement, revealing great tension, denounced by the strings and raised to an extreme drama; the second movement reveals solemnity, in a funeral march that rises by its emotion and beauty; the third movement, a crispness; the fourth movement expresses triumph and magnificence.

Score and parts. 12 pages. Jmsgu3 #3555135. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549856). Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme (Awake, the Voice is calling us) from Cantata BWV 140. Duration: ca. 4:00, Score: 6 pages, Program this for church services during the Easter season, weddings, or as a recital encore.Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme (Awake, the Voice is calling us) also known as: Sleepers Awake Bach composed his church cantata Wachet auf (BWV 140) as part of his second annual cantata cycle covering the entire annual church calendar. It is based on the hymn of the same name by Philipp Nicolai (1599). The hymn text covers the readings for the 27th Sunday after Trinity. Bach designed the cantata in seven movements, setting the stanzas in various forms. Among these forms are the chorale fantasia, the chorale prelude, and a four-part chorale. He casts the new lyrics as recitatives – in a manner similar to the opera. Fourth Movement Bach writes the fourth movement, Zion hört die Wächter singen (Zion hears the watchmen singing), in the style of a chorale prelude with the chorale phrases performed as a strict cantus firmus. The phrases seem to enter at times erratically against the famous lyrical melody. The violins play this melody in unison as a foil against the cantus phrases. The violin melody is so independent and complete that when the cantus melody appears it catches the listener at times totally off-guard. Bach later transcribed this movement for organ (BWV 645). This transcription became No. 1 of the Six Schübler Chorales. Bach Overview First of all, Johann Sebastian Bach is maybe the greatest composer in music history. Certainly, he was prolific. As a result, everyone has heard of his works. Furthermore, these works number well over a thousand. It seems like people are probably most familiar with the instrumental works such as the Brandenburg Concertos, and the Goldberg Variations. But, similarly famous are such noteworthy works as the Well-Tempered Clavier, the Musical Offering, and certainly the Art of Fugue. Seems like his most famous vocal works include the most noteworthy Mass in B Minor. Also, most noteworthy, though, are the St. John Passion, and certainly the Christmas Oratorio. History Bach came from a long line of musicians and above all, composers. Consequently, he, first of all, pursued a career as a church organist. So as a result, he gained employment in various Protestant churches in Germany. For a while, he worked as a court musician in Weimar and Köthen. Here he probably developed his organ style and likewise his chamber music style. Eventually, he, therefore, gained an appointment as Cantor of St. Thomas in Leipzig. Here he worked until difficulties with his employer ultimately drove him away. The King of Poland finally appointed him as court composer. Style It seems like Bach created a fascinating new international style. He synthesized elements of the most noteworthy European music ideas into his new style. Even more, this new style was probably his synthesis of European musical rhythm and form. Furthermore, he demonstrated a complete mastery of counterpoint and motivic development. His sense of harmonic organization probably propelled him to the top. Revival Mendelssohn conducted a Bach revival in the nineteenth century. His effort probably helped to re-familiarize the public with the magnitude of Bach’s works. During this period, scholars published many noteworthy Bach biographies. Moreover, Wolfgang Schmieder published the BWV (Bach Werke Verzeichnis). As a result, this is now the official catalog of his entire artistic output. The BWV number allows us to locate a work in the catalog. Sometimes scholars will simply use an S (Schmieder) as an abbreviation for BWV. Voyager

String Ensemble,String Trio - Digital Download SKU: A0.1004149 Composed by Matthew Scott Phillips. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 13 pages. Matthew Scott Phillips #3510885. Published by Matthew Scott Phillips (A0.1004149). Throughout the centuries, sundials (a flat plate that marks the time of the day by the shadow of a gnomon which is cast onto it) have been used by civilizations to tell time. Unlike modern clocks and digital watches, in which every single second has its own momentary significance, telling time by sundial is more evolutionary. The seconds, and hours, melt into one another. It is perhaps for this reason that sundials have often been conceived not only as practical time pieces, but as works of art, metaphors, and creations that are inherent expressions of the personality of their creators. Etched in many sundials across the world, in Latin, English, German, and other languages are often found mottoes that reflect the thoughts of the sundial's creator. These mottoes can be fatalistic, humorous, transient, morbid, or serene, and almost always involve the subjects of time, the passing of the hours, life and its brevity, or metaphors involving shadows. Many times these mottoes feature some witticism, such as I only count the sunny hours (since a shadow must be present for a sundial to function). Other times, they can be revealingly existential (We are but shadow), and other times offer advice (Use the hours, don't count them). It is these statements of philosophy, etched in sundials throughout the centuries, that most interests me. I am currently composing a set of movements for piano trio (Piano, Violin, Cello) dedicated to the mottoes found on sundials, and their significance to me. The first movement, subtitled Tempus Edax Rerum (Time devours things) is expansive and attempts a feeling of eternity, into which all seemingly fast moving workings of human beings are inevitably subsumed. For the second movement I am considering the phrase Pereunt et Imputantur (They pass and are counted referring to the hours of the day), and its implication of the way in which time can slip away, whether we observe it or not.

String Ensemble,String Trio - Digital Download SKU: A0.1027985 Composed by Stefan Perry. Contemporary. Score and parts. 4 pages. Stefan Perry #3121647. Published by Stefan Perry (A0.1027985). This String Trio has been written for general performance and above all for the pleasure of the performer. I am aiming for maximum flexibility for the performers. All written dynamics are not to be taken too literally. Never think too much about volume (eg pianissimo is quiet and forte is loud), but rather think about the application of the bow (as in softer bowing for pianissimo passages and stronger/heavy bowing for forte passages)and think of the rising and falling dynamics as breathing. Also there are no specific bowings (accept for a down bow at the beginning of each movement). I will leave that to the discretion of the performers so they can decide what works best for their playing styles and technical possibilities (there is no need to follow slurs to the letter providing the slurred passages are smooth as I intend). One more thing is that the software I used doesn't make key changes as visible as I like so I have written a note to indicate said key changes. I hope anyone who plays this receives maximum enjoyment from my composition. Happy music making!

'Cocktails Anyone?' is a set of 12 highly recognizable and enjoyed songs for the cocktail time. Intermediate Level String TRIO for 2 violins and cello or violin, viola and cello AUDIO: I randomly chose the first selection as an audio sample parts: 103 pages time: Approx. 90 minutes Songs included in this set: Autumn, allegro movement - Vivaldi Barcarolle - Offenbach Concerto in D for 2 violins and lute, allegro - Vivaldi Eine Kleine Nacht Music, 1st Mov. - Mozart Intermezzo sinfonico - Mascagni La Cinquantaine - Gabriel-Marie Orientale - Cui Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini - Rachmaninoff Serenade - Schubert Spring, danza pastorale from the Four Seasons - Vivaldi The Swan - Saint Saëns Waves of the Danube (Anniversary Waltz) - Ivanovici  MY QUARTET VERSIONS, in short notice work fine for solo, two parts and three parts however I also offer individual versions for one, two and three parts that are more detailed for these ensembles. Please visit https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/search?Ntt=sherry+lewis+publishing for all of the titles I offer. If you can’t find a title then contact me through stringquartet@hotmail.com and I’ll give you the link back to Sheet Music Plus’s listing. VERSATILE Titles that include four parts are written with the idea that they can be performed with 1, 2, 3 or 4 musicians. Most of the contemporary/popular titles include a chord chart for a bass instrument. PRACTICE needs would vary according to the level of the performers but my goal is to be sight-readable for most performers and groups. AUDIO SAMPLE The 30 second mp3 is frequently shortened and may not start at the introduction to get to the reprise. The actual introduction will be in the sheet music. LISTENABILITY I have performed thousands of weddings and special events. I make it a goal for the music to carry as well as possible through loud and large space situations. ARRANGEMENTS usually follow the original version. There is an mp3 where you can hear 30 seconds and get a feeling of the originality of the work. EXCELLENT for corporate events, weddings, social gatherings and recitals. APPROPRIATE for students and schools. CHURCH REPERTOIRE I’m always adding more titles. Thank you for your purchase!

This enduringly popular movement from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker is here arranged in its full structure (except for shortening the harp cadenza!) for string trio. A fully-worked performance arrangement specifically for this instrumentation, much preferable to using a quartet version with one part missing. Ideal for function purposes, light classical performances or as a closing recital 'lollipop'. And everyone gets the tune at some point!

The last movement of this Piano Sonata:Alla Turca, popularly known as the Turkish March, is often heard on its own and is one of Mozart's best-known piano pieces; it was Mozart himself who titled the rondo Alla Turca. It imitates the sound of Turkish Janissary bands, the music of which was much in vogue at that time. Various other works of the time imitate this Turkish style, including Mozart's own opera Die Entführung aus dem Serail. In Mozart's time, the last movement was sometimes performed on pianos built with a Turkish stop, allowing it to be embellished with extra percussion effects. I have have added additional voicings throughout. The end section has an optional 8va for the 1st player...this will give the authentic Turkish feel, if you're brave enough to do it....LOUD!! Plenty of scales for 1st and 2nd, but fun for all the players!! Arranged for violin, viola and cello with alternative parts for 2.viola (2.vln) and 2.cello (3.vla)

Chamber,Classical,Contest,Festival,Standards,Wedding. 53 pages. Jmsgu3 #809797. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1212300). Duration: ca. 24:20Mozart's Sonata K. 331, is a significant piece in music history. Composed between 1781 and 1783, the sonata is known for its third movement, the Alla Turca, which has become one of Mozart's most famous works. The sonata is also notable for its use of variations in the first movement, a technique that Mozart would later use in his famous Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star variations. The sonata's influence can be seen in the works of later composers, such as Beethoven and Chopin, who were inspired by Mozart's use of form and structure. Mozart's K. 331 remains a beloved and important piece in the classical music canon, showcasing the composer's genius and innovation.

Antonio Vivaldi (1675-1741) was an Italian priest, violinist and composer, well-known in his day for the both his violin virtuosity and the many concertos, trio sonatas and other works that he composed. This piece is a movement of one of a group of six sonatas written for treble instrument and cembalo. This lively movement is equally interesting for all parts, and easily accessible for advanced intermediate students, amateurs and professionals. A few chromatic passages, and some syncopation make this fun for all.

Score and parts. 17 pages. Antonio Tuduri #5310841. Published by Antonio Tuduri (A0.998994). Händel's Opera pieces - Voice 1 for violinFirst of all, I apologize for my english language mistakes !!The repertoire included in Händel's Opera pieces is the culmination of a process of searching for musical material in Händel's opera repertoire, which can be used at the same time, outside of its original compositional context, exclusively exalting its beauty as well as the genius of the its composer Georg Friedrich Handel. The conditions that all the pieces of the volume had to fulfill were the following:- To have a short duration to be used as teaching material in subjects of baroque technique and chamber music, collective subjects or even chamber orchestra subjects.- They can be interpreted in trio chamber formations in the following combinations:Voice 1 Violin, flute, oboe or clarinet.Voice 2 Violin, viola, flute, oboe or clarinet.Voice3 Violin, viola, cello, bassoon, flute, oboe or clarinet. They are of limited technical complexity in order to allow the performers to participate and at the same time enjoy listening the polyphony and counterpoint of Handel's compositional style. This collection of 27 pieces have been mostly selected from Handel's vast opera production (44 operas or so depending on the criteria to be considered as operas or oratories) and the most beautiful (but not famous), adapted to three-voice trio formations. The pieces included are the following1. L’ultimo ballo (Alceste)2. Menuet (Almira )3. Final Gavotte of act I (Arianna in Creta)4. Overture Mussette (Alcina)5. Overture Andante (Berenice)6. Gavotte7. Symphony of act III (Xerxes)8. Il primo ballo (Alceste )9. 3d movement of overtura (Arianna in Creta)10. 3d movement overture (Ottone Re di Germania)11. Menuet I of organ concerto HWV 308 .12. Menuet II of òrgan concerto HWV 30813. Final Chorus (Lucio Cornelio Silla)14. Final Chorus ( Siroe Re di Persia)15. Overture menuet (Alcina)16. Menuet I of organ concerto HWV 310 17. Duetto Il vostro maggio (Rinaldo)18. Overture menuet of acte I (Arminio)19. Act II Symphony (Arminio)20. Act III Symphony (Deidamia)21. Act I Symphony (Giustino).22. Passacaglia.23.
