Dubbed the last Beatles song, it appeared on a double A-side single, paired with a new stereo remix of the band's first single, Love Me Do (1962), with the two serving as bookends to the band's history. Both songs were included on the expanded re-issues of the 1973 compilations 1962–1966 and 1967–1970, released on 10 November 2023.The song is a psychedelic soft rock ballad that John Lennon wrote in the late 1970s. He recorded a solo five-minute piano demo around 1977 on a tape recorder at his home in the Dakota building in New York City; it was left unfinished. The final version features additional lyrics by McCartney. E lucevan le stelle (When the stars were brightly shining) is the romanza of Mario Cavaradossi, the tenor, a painter in love with Tosca, in the third act of Puccini's opera Tosca, composed in 1899 to an Italian libretto by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa. It is sung by Cavaradossi while he waits for his execution on the roof of Castel Sant’Angelo.  The aria is introduced by a somber clarinet solo. The incipit of the melody (heard in outline earlier in the act, as the sky lightens and the gaoler prepares for the execution) is repeated on the lines O dolci baci, o languide carezze (With sweetest kisses, tenderest caresses), and also restated in forte in the closing bars of the opera, as Tosca jumps from the ramparts. Christmas Day is a choral fantasy on old carols, was written in 1910. It was originally composed for SATB with parts for a sizeable orchestra. It lasts for about seven minutes. The work was dedicated ‘To the music students of Morley College’. Apparently it was extremely well-received and had a further presentation on 18 February at a music students’ ‘Tea and Social’ event. A number of well-known carols are used in this ‘fantasy.’ Throughout the piece, the composer makes use of ‘God rest you merry gentlemen,’ ‘The First Nowell’ and a traditional melody derived from Brittany used to set the words ‘Come ye lofty; come ye lonely.’ The Duration is approx. 6.16 minutes and the level is Advanced Intermediate.

Nessun dorma (English: None shall sleep) is an aria from act three of Turandot, and is one of the best-known tenor arias in all opera. Luciano Pavarotti made it one of his signature arias. It is sung by Calaf, il principe ignoto (the unknown prince), who falls in love at first sight with the beautiful but cold Princess Turandot. However, any man who wishes to wed Turandot must first answer her three riddles; if he fails, he will be beheaded. This arrangement for saxophones can be played by either SATB or AATB quartet, with an optional Bass saxophone part which doubles the Baritone part. I would like to believe that Puccini would have approved of this adaptation of what is perhaps his most recognizable aria since the original orchestration for Turandot calls for a very large orchestra that includes two on-stage Alto Saxophones. Satellite to Planet Nine is a saxophone quartet inspired by the cosmos surrounding planet Earth. The opening movement, Takeoff, is about the mystery and fear surrounding a possibility of another planet - or black hole - yet to be discovered and the beginning of the journey to find it. The second movement, Hymn for the Moon is dedicated to the closest body of natural rock in our solar system. This movement features the tenor saxophone using a mix of disjunct melodies, smooth jazz, and thick chords to produce a movement of both mysticism and peace as the rocket travels by it. Soca for Saturn is the following movement and is inspired by the Trinidadian popular music known as soca. It is the spark of joy and pure energy that holds the astronauts together as they hold their hopes high traveling to a land that might not even exist at all. The fourth movement depicts the first amount of struggle for the team, Solar Flares, which batter and beat at the crew as they try to find a way through. In the movement the mood is instantly changed with the realization that it is too calm, and soon, meet the purest form of heat and energy. Movement five continues the struggle, but this time with hasty success. Arrival continues where the fourth movement leaves off, but finally they see something in the distance – the planet they have been looking for. They prepare for landing, but with their equipment being nearly destroyed from the solar flares it is not smooth landing. In the final movement, New Gravity, the team ventures out into the new world, which is dark and barren. They feel a disturbing presence around them, and as they search further and further into the cold and dusty landscape, they realize what they are up against – survival. Using what they know, they build on their wreckage and create a new home - The Satellite to Planet Nine.

Originally it was an instrumental interlude in the opera The Tale of Tsar Saltan (1900). Later it gained fame as a piano piece. As arranged for SATB Saxophone Quartet, it is a great little show off piece for a moderately advanced quartet. While no altissimo is required in any part, it requires fast fingers and a good command of chromatic scales from all players. Many people believe Flight of the Bumblebee to be a very difficult workout for musicians. If you're well practiced on chromatic scales and comfortable with alternate fingerings, it's really not so difficult as it sounds. There is no need to tell your audience this fact. As for it being relentlessly fast, the tempo given in the original orchestra score is only 144bpm. Perfomance time on this arrangement is about 1:15 but nothing is stopping you from playing it faster.

During one single night Leemans composed this march on themes recalled from his earlier effort.
