Published by JP Wogaman II (A0.946919). This piece is actually my first film score. It accompanied an animation, but unfortunately, the original artist has made the animation no longer available. The story is still powerful, and the message is still just as relevant. Two young foster children, brother and sister, go from the sadness and fear of being without parents, to the joy of finding a home with a loving family, all while doing their best to hang onto hope and onto each other. For these two young children, I can only imagine it feeling like the end of the world, and not an experience they could possibly grow from. However, this story is a true story, and it is the animator's story. And look where she ended up! A student at the University of Michigan that has since gone on to work for major companies such as Nickelodeon and even NASA. As an artist, I respect her decision to not continue sharing her animation, and I am so unbelievably grateful and humbled to have had the honor of writing the score to her story when I had the chance.More arrangements and originals by JP Wogaman II can be found at www.wogamusic.com

It is a story about a princess who is tested to become wife to a lonely prince. The tale was first published in 1835 in Copenhagen. In this work, the tale is presented by a narrator, with the wind quintet bringing the story to life in a musical way. This selection comes with a full score with cues for the narrator, parts for the ensemble, and a narrator's script that features ensemble cues to help align the story and music together properly.There are many features in this work that are sure to interest audiences of all ages. Different motifs are used to differentiate between characters and settings. The ensemble may find an opportunity to invite the audience to actively listen to these themes. This selection also features the use of props - a cutting board (preferably with a cutout area to grip the board easily) and an inflated latex balloon are required to make various sound effects. There are several other ways the ensemble and narrator could use props or costumes to bring the story to life, and offer some humorous moments as well. The music is attributed to Nicolas Saboly and the text to Émile Blémont. The song tells the story of two farmers, Jeannette and Isabelle, who are going to milk their cows in a crib in Bethlehem, and find Jesus sleeping in hay. The two women run to Bethlehem to announce to the inhabitants the coming of Christ and the inhabitants come with their torches to see this for themselves. The painter Georges de La Tour painted a Nativity called The Newborn Inspired by the Song. Originally, the song was not a Christmas song but a dance song for the nobles. Little known in France today, it is most often interpreted by Anglo-Saxons on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, especially in the United States. The English version is entitled Bring a torch, Jeanette, Isabella!. This arrangement for wind quintet (in the key of Bb) has 5 verses (with different arrangements) There is a bridge passage at the start, end and between each verse. McCartney had been staying on Long Island when the category-three storm Hurricane Bob that made landfall had hit in August 1991. This made McCartney sit with an acoustic guitar and write what he describes as a gentle love song that becomes a 1960s protest song. The song was co-produced by George Martin and McCartney, being started, finished, and mixed within a single session on 3 September 1992 in Sussex, England. It is the earliest recording on Flaming Pie. Around the time of the release of the album, McCartney's Wife of nearly 30 years, Linda, was suffering from breast cancer and sadly passed away 7 months later. The music video also portrays this with shots of the two of them together in her last days. This selection, Burgundian Air/March of the Three Kings, has been arranged for a Woodwind Quintet, consisting of 1 Flute, 1 Oboe, 1 Clarinet, 1 French Horn and 1 Bassoon, by Regis Bookshar. It would be a great addition to any music library. It incorporates two Traditional French melodies into one exciting arrangement, which, I'm certain, will entertain both performers and audiences alike. It is suitable for high school and college students and is perfect for Christmas concerts and church services but could be performed anytime and anywhere. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (21 pages). It begins with a Burgundian Air, played by a solo instrument. The melody is then played by two instruments in harmony before the rest of the ensemble joins in. This is followed by the March of the Three Kings, a Provencal melody (La Marche Des Rois Mages) which dates from the 13th century and recalls the Three Kings of the Christmas story. The peasants probably sang and danced to this tune, even perhaps honoring their own folk heroes, the French dukes, dressed in their shining armor and carrying brilliant banners, as they marched off to the Crusades. Georges Bizet utilized this tune as a farandole, or stately dance, in his incidental music for Alphonse Daudet's play L'Arlesienne (The Girl from Arles). There is a fugal section in which each instrument enters, playing an embellished version of the tune before concluding the arrangement. Also available are other settings of these two Traditional French melodies for a variety of instrumental ensembles as well as numerous other arrangements in a variety of styles.
