Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1305527 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mary Ann W. Snowball. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. 3 pages. Kevin G. Pace #894978. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1305527). A beautiful, sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.Text:Even As a Child“ . . . becometh as a child, submissive, . . .†- (Mosiah 3:19)When Jesus was a child, he reasoned with the scribes,Desiring to teach them at the temple spires.Because his age was twelve, He stayed in Nazareth,Growing much in wisdom’s path, gaining holy breath. He waited patiently, his ministry to come . . .Yielding to his Father’s will; He was God’s own Son.He trusted as He lived with all obedience,Even as He faced, with strength, many mortal threats. Then when his end was nigh, when none would intercede,Standing before Pilate’s face, He did never plead. He firmly held his peace and answered to no man.Nearing his own death He pled: Clean those soldier’s hands! In honor He did live, thus showing us the way.Now He only begs that we, too, can God obey.Oh, even as this Child abandoned earthly hopes,Can we also live our lives with our Savior yoked?Chorus:Will we also give to Him each worldly desire,Even as this Child of God, and so be lifted higher?

B-Flat Clarinet,Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.548510 Composed by Wade. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Christian,Christmas. Score and part. 4 pages. Jmsgu3 #3388105. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.548510). O Come All Ye Faithful arranged with new harmony for the final verse. Score: 3 pages, part: 1 page. Clarinet in Bb. O Come, All Ye Faithful O Come, All Ye Faithful is an English translation of the Latin Christmas carol Adeste Fideles. No one knows exactly who wrote it. One theory holds that King John IV of Portugal (1604–1656) wrote it. Another theory says John F. Wade or John Reading wrote it. Nowadays, we usually attribute it to John Wade. Seems like the oldest manuscript from 1751, is owned by Stonyhurst College in Lancashire. Lyrics The English translation O Come, All Ye Faithful was certainly written by Frederick Oakeley, a Catholic priest in 1841. This translation is probably the most common in the English speaking states. To begin with, the hymn had only four verses. Later, the verses grew to eight. Music directors often cut various verses because otherwise, the song goes too long. Some believe that St. Bonaventure wrote the first Latin lyrics. Others hold that King John IV of Portugal is responsible. Yet even others think the Cistercian monks wrote them. King John IV King John IV of Portugal was called The Musician King. He became king in 1640. In addition to performing the duties of a king, he was also a composer and music journalist. King John built a very large music library. Unfortunately, the library was ruined in 1755 because of the massive earthquake of Lisbon. In addition to building his library, the king started a Music School that produced many accomplished musicians. The king also worked diligently to get instrumental music approved by the Vatican for use in his churches. Aside from his authorship of Adeste Fideles, he is famous for another popular choral setting of the Crux Fidelis, a prevalent Lenten hymn. Performance in Context Verses are sometimes left out because all eight verses would take too long to perform. More to the point though, some of the verses may be unsuitable for whatever of the church calendar they are intended. The eighth verse deals with the Epiphany, so it makes sense to sing this on Epiphany Sunday, but not other Sundays. Similarly, other verses are used according to whether the event is Midnight Mass or regular daytime Mass.

Some believe that St. Bonaventure wrote the first Latin lyrics. Others hold that King John IV of Portugal is responsible. Yet even others think the Cistercian monks wrote them. King John IV His subjects called King John IV of Portugal The Musician King. He became king in 1640. In addition to performing the duties of a king, he composed and wrote as a music journalist. King John built a very large music library. Unfortunately, the massive earthquake in Lisbon ruined the library in 1755. More to the point, though, some of the verses may be unsuitable for whatever church calendar they are intended. The eighth verse deals with the Epiphany, so it makes sense to sing this on Epiphany Sunday but not on other Sundays. Similarly, other verses are used for whether the event is Midnight Mass or regular daytime Mass. Â

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB divisi) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1319175 Composed by David Baldwin. A Cappella,Christian,Classical,Renaissance,Sacred. 22 pages. David Baldwin #907808. Published by David Baldwin (A0.1319175). Eventide is powerfully narrative in style: a yearning and intimate prayer that our Shepherd would be near in the night (symbolic of difficult times). The piece uses M.L. Hofford's lyrics, which he penned in response to the human cost of war. On a personal level, Hofford's lyrics struck me as especially comforting after an unusually sobering death in the community. The verses are decidedly minimalist and have a chant-like beauty to them, so as to emphasize pondering. The refrains fill out in texture (up to 7 parts) as the prayer shifts to beckoning.1. Abide with me; 'tis eventide. The day is past and gone; the shadows of the evening fall; the night is coming on. Within my home a welcome guest, within my home abide.2. Abide with me, 'tis eventide. Thy walk today with me has made my heart within me burn as I communed with thee. Thy earnest words have filled my soul and kept me near thy side.3. Abide with me, 'tis eventide. And lone will be the night if I cannot commune with thee, nor find in thee my light. The darkness of this world, I fear, would in my home abide.Refrain: O Savior, stay this night with me; behold, 'tis eventide. Amen.

Runway Region Publications, LLC #889482. Published by Runway Region Publications, LLC (A0.1299691). Â Â AN EVENING PRAYERCharles H. Gabriel was a noted and very prolific composer of gospel songs and hymns. Many of his hymns and songs are still popular and available in hymnals. One of his more popular songs is Will the Circle Be Unbroken? which has been sung by so many great artists. An Evening Prayer is just that - a prayer to sing to the Lord before retiring for the evening, although as an act of confession and connection with God, it is appropriate any time of the day! Notes from the arranger: This simple anthem has lots of possibilities.Let's start with the solo instrument. Feel free to use a violin, trumpet, flute, clarinet, or whatever you have available. Even a single organ line with a nice reed stop will work well. For the voices and depending on the people you have, you can use three separate voices for the solo parts, or separate sections. When the full choir comes in at mm. E, you will want to ensure good balance. The final Amen can be sung by three soloists or the full choir.

Published by Fiona Caldarevic (A0.827213). On The Seventh Hill is a piano composition in rondo form with a strong melody and surprising chord progressions. It starts off simply but when the melody repeats the left hand part starts taking off and both hands are busy from then on. I wrote this piece when I first moved back to Sydney to the suburb of Seven Hills, so named when its first farmer declared it the seventh hill from Parramatta, an early city west of Sydney. Having just moved here from a small country town, I look out at Sydney from the top of that hill and the vastness of good things to come that I can envisage is what inspired this music.
