A waltz written for piano or harp, works beautifully on both instruments.I would say this is an advanced version with no fingering or note names written on. The left hand is based round chord triads and 10ths. It's a very good exercise for the left hand as it jumps around in a waltz rhythm between the chord triads, octaves and 10ths.

Fingering advice is also given.The left hand is based round triads and full chords. It's a very good exercise for the left hand as it jumps around in a waltz rhythm between the triads and chords. Left hand triads can be played throughout, if easier. .

Composed in 2018, this piece essentially starts out as a waltz, with a surprise halfway through. The first 3/4 melody you hear may sound a tad reminiscent of a waltz composed by Dmitri Shostakovich, which was partially intended. The second melody, consisting mainly of dissected chords, sounds more like carousel music, hence the title. And then we come to the plot twist.Towards the end of the piece, there is a subtle detail the composer threw in, which most listeners might not notice. During a section in C minor, the counter-melody transitions into major 3 bars before the lead melody does. In the counter-melody is an unexpected C major chord in C minor, (an E-natural where you likely expected an E-flat). This was actually done to foreshadow the melody jumping back into major for the finale.To a certain extent, Carousel City is Adrian's love letter to Binghamton. He personally believes this piece to be one of the best in his archive, and hopes that you experience as much fun hearing it as he did writing it.

In its broader sense, nada que ver is just that: there is nothing to see (this is what the police usually say when they want you not to stop). But as an idiom, nada que ver implies what you are saying is absolutely unrelated and therefore you are totally wrong. Why is this waltz mercenary? Because it is very direct, traditional and does not intend to experiment with anything. In addition to the original version (for solo piano) the composer has made one for violin and piano (which can be played without major problems with flute, or with clarinet with slight adaptations). If Franz Liszt composed a Bagatelle without tonality, why not a milonga without tonality. This piece is placed somewhere between classical music and new tango. Moderator Louis Barabbas wrote about Ausente for the BBC blog Fresh On The Net nr. 305 (19 November 2018), http://freshonthenet.co.uk/2018/11/faves305 Described as 'somewhere between classical music and new tango' the artist’s phrasing here is telling: somewhere rather than something. For in Juan Maria Solare’s Ausente (absent) we are certainly transported. Each angular phrase jutting up like stone columns or distended stalactites in a limey cave. The trickling thrust of its furtive intent feels somehow elemental yet focused through an urban noir prism, drops of heavy water in varying temperatures, some icicles and some steam, shards of smoky light poking around slow moving fan blades and between the rusty teeth of ancient window grills, monstrous warped shadows cast up from humble orphaned minutiae. Music as beautiful and unsettling as it is hard to dance to. The idea of dancing this piece was a surprise for me, since tango music doesn't need to be danced to (you can also just listen to it). But if you wonder how this tango would appear danced, imagine it is not called tango but contemporary ballet rooted in tango - and suddenly you find ways of dancing it... provided an open-minded choreographer is on board! If someone wants to dance this music in the style of the tango of 1920, they will have a hard time. It is based on the, under the same title ('Premonition'), poem by the 19th century British-Canadian poet Robert William Service (1874 - 1958). Point of departure is the eternal conflict between light and darkness, hope and despair, vision and nightmare, spiritual formation and inner confusion, being together and being apart, past and future, life and death. Leading by love (eros), a series of sudden thoughts and premonitions and the composer's inner visions on Service's text is a vehicle, a canvas for this composition. It follows a multilanguage style between serial-atonal and tonal idiom. It consists of an introduction which is repeated variated at the end as an epilogue and nine variations, each of a different character - independent but following one another without a pause: 1.
