This quick and easy national anthem arrangement is essential for traveling musicians,bands, instrumental groups and both amateur and professional ensembles. You can play it with any virtually any combination of instruments: symphonic band,clarinet choir, brass ensemble, brass band, solos, duets and trios - almost anything!This arrangement is in five independent parts each transposed into a variety of keys. For the most satisfying sound you’ll need to get a good balance between each part possibly with an emphasis on the melodic line. If you have a non-standard ensemble, you can pick 'n' mix as required. The piano reduction can fill missing parts or can be used as the basis for an accompaniment. This arrangement consists of a two-page score with six instrumental staves (including timpani) and three percussion staves. The following parts are printed on separate pages. The first out of four movement of the work Liz And The Blue Bird arranged for woodwind ensemble.Liz And The Blue Bird is a four-movement work based on a fictional German fairytale from a movie, both of the same name. Liz is the name of a lonely girl who sells bread at a bakery and socializes with the forest animals. After a big thunderstorm, she finds an unnamed blue-haired girl lying outside. She quickly takes her into her home and, the two become close friends. After a while, Liz started noticing the girl sneaking out at night and coming back before dawn. Liz noticed how the girl would look at the birds freely flying in the sky when they fed the animals. Liz becomes conflicted with her emotions but eventually decides to release her from the cage that is her home. Liz confronts the girl and tells her that she needs to be free and spread her wings. Although distraught by Liz's decision, the girl comes to respect it. Skye Boat Song (Over the Sea to Skye) An intermediate-level woodwind arrangement of this favourite Scottish melody, featuring Horn in E-flat or F. The tune may be familiar to some as the theme from Outlander. The piece is scored for the following: · Part 1: Flute · Part 2: Oboe · Part 3: Clarinet in B-flat · Part 4: Clarinet in B-flat · Part 5: Clarinet in B-flat · Part 6: Bassoon OR Part 6: Bass Clarinet in B-flat · Part 7: Tenor Horn in E-flat (Alto Sax) OR Part 7: Horn in F (Cor Anglais) This arrangement was originally created for a small wind course at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on the Isle of Skye, with 1 – 2 players per part and featuring E-flat horn. There are some alternative options for the feature part – the version in E-flat could instead by played by Alto Saxophone, while there is also a version in F which could be played by French Horn or Cor Anglais. Also included are optional easier ‘add-on’ parts for Flute/Oboe, Clarinet in B-flat/Soprano Saxophone, Low Clarinet in B-flat, Tenor Saxophone, Mini-bassoon (in F or G) and Bassoon – ideal if your group contains a few less-adept players. These should be used sparingly, however! The cover photo shows the ferry from Mallaig to Armadale, which brought some of the students ‘Over the Sea to Skye’ for the first performance of this particular arrangement of the Skye Boat Song.

But he already had a mature mastery of orchestral writing, along with the courage to defy convention: A march takes the place of the normal triple-meter scherzo movement. It's an unconventional march that starts with an elegant melody, surveys a wide range of emotions, and dissipates into a quiet ending. It's really neither a march nor a scherzo, but something all its own.This colorful concert band arrangement was written for an adult community band. It's appropriate for a college or community band, or an adventurous high school wind ensemble. It features two solo flutes, two solo clarinets, soprano saxophone, vibraphone, and marimba (the vibraphone part is cued to allow performance without the marimba). It also requires strong oboe and bassoon players. Extensive cues allow rehearsal and performance without oboes, bassoons, soprano saxophone, and/or mallet percussion.  Duration: approx. 5:00. The audio clip is a complete performance by the Peninsula Symphonic Winds.
