Brass Quintet - Grade 3 - Digital Download SKU: DX.145510 Composed by Leila N. Morris. Arranged by Dana F. Everson. Sacred instrumental music. Sheet Music. Traditional. Score and parts. 17 pages. David E. Smith - Digital Sheet Music #145510. Published by David E. Smith - Digital Sheet Music (DX.145510). Scored as a traditional bras quintet, the piece is a vigorous march in style and form. With fragments of the tune in the upper brass and answered in the lower voices. The second statement of the theme the roles are reversed. A modulation takes place and the theme is fragmented amongst the parts. Imitation takes place with some Q&A where it all leads up to a joyous conclusion. It sounds and feels like a school Fight Song.

Choral 2-Part Chorus,Choir,Choral - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1412167 By Rachel Platten. By Dave Bassett and Rachel Platten. Arranged by Katherine Burr. 21st Century,Children,Contemporary,Pop. 9 pages. Katherine Burr #994407. Published by Katherine Burr (A0.1412167). This is a two part arrangement, suitable for children’s or school choirs at their end of year, or leavers concerts. Voice A sings the melody throughout, with additional vocal lines and harmonies from Voice B. The key is a tone lower than the original, and the second verse up the octave, to place it more suitably into children's ranges - they really want to belt out the chorus. The timings of the ‘hey’s in the chorus are difficult, spend some time clapping on the correct beat to get your choir use to the syncopation. The harmonies are only difficult because most singers know the melody line so well! Teaching tracks available by contacting me via my websitewww.katherineburr.com.

Brass Quintet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1489490 Composed by Dr. Daniel N. Thrower. Chamber,Classical,Historic,Patriotic. 38 pages. Https://gildedmusicpress.com/ #1066354. Published by https://gildedmusicpress.com/ (A0.1489490). Three of these seven short pieces are worthy to open any brass quintet concert or recital. Two fanfares are too short for a concert feature but work extremely well in a ceremony or celebratory setting. The last two short pieces aptly serve contrasting special purposes, as explained below.“Fort Pierre Fanfare” is about 40 seconds in duration, and was composed to open the feature concert at the South Dakota Bandmasters Association convention in 2022. Offutt Brass, from the US Air Force Heartland of America Band, was invited to perform that concert. Before the final piece of the concert, when gifts were exchanged between the sponsor and performers, beautiful presentation copies of the sheet music were presented to the sponsor. In performance, staging directions on the music can be extremely effective or cringy, depending on how they are conveyed. If there is any inkling that there may be a cringe factor, ignore them, and play the fanfare already on stage.“Enduring Freedom Fanfare” is nearly a minute of music. It was composed as a gift for the outgoing Commander of the US Air Force Heritage of America Band, Major Rafael Toro-Quiñones. His leadership was strong and inspiring, and he held a place of high esteem among many of the fine military musicians that he led. The Change of Command ceremony was toward the end of the Covid-19 shut-downs, so the work was not performed at the ceremony. Chief Remley, from the command’s satellite location in Nebraska, hand-delivered some finely printed presentation copies to Major Toro-Quiñones.“Noble Eagle Fanfare” is slightly over a minute in length, and, like “Enduring Freedom Fanfare,” was composed as a gift for another outgoing Commander of the US Air Force Heritage of America Band, Captain David Neil Regner.“Pilgrims’ Fanfare” was composed on what many Americans acknowledge as “Pioneer Day,” 24 July 2023. Not only honoring the thousands of pioneers that settled the western United States, but also the pilgrims that voyaged across the ocean to settle in the new continent. It is about 15 seconds in duration and is effective for any occasion in need of a magnificent fanfare.“Flightline Fanfare,” as its title implies, was composed for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the dedication of the newly renovated flightline at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. Unfortunately, the ceremony itself was altered last-minute, and the 15-second fanfare was not used. However, like “Pilgrims’ Fanfare,” it is very handy for any event demanding a splash of pomp.“American Interlude” is a soft 75-second underscore for an MC’s moving speech or dedication. It was originally composed as a smooth segue between two moving patriotic pieces of different keys in a concert setting, but can be used in any similar appropriate situation.“Troop 184” is dedicated to my childhood BSA Scoutmaster, Gerry Nielson, who molded me in significant ways into the man I am decades later. It is functional music, akin to a fight song, and can be easily marched to. Words may be crafted as a customized hiking ditty, or it can be featured before or after ceremonies as prelude or processional music. The duration can also be customized, as there is a written optional repeat, lengthening the tune from 45 seconds to a minute and a half.

This song is a fantastic opportunity for singers to broaden their concert repertoire with a fun, new pop song composed specifically for choir. Its words reflect the inner strength we all must find in ourself to keep pushing forward. Life is a journey that will always have its ups and downs, which further calls the need for one to keep fighting for what they want out of life. We must all give everything we have to create the lives we want for ourselves.

B-Flat Trumpet,Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1182594 By Dirk Quinn Band. By Charles Borrelli and Roger Courtland. Arranged by Marcony Carvalho. 20th Century,Classical,March. Score and part. 2 pages. Zedas Couve #782339. Published by Zedas Couve (A0.1182594). The Eagles' Victory Song was the creation of Charles Borrelli and Richard Courtland Harrison, a Washington, D.C. music teacher and arranger for jazz guitarist Charlie Byrd. The song was mistakenly credited to R. Courtland by the Copyright office and in various editions of Eagles programs from the late 1950s through the 1960s.In 1963, Jerry Wolman purchased the Philadelphia Eagles. Wolman was a sports fan growing up and loved hearing the Washington Redskins' fight song Hail to the Redskins at games. Spawning from his admiration for the Redskins' song, Wolman searched for musicians to implement a team song for the Eagles, and founded The Philadelphia Eagles' Sound of Brass band in 1964. The group included 200 musicians and dancers, and was led by Arlen Saylor, who was appointed as the Eagles' entertainment director in 1966 and is credited with penning an arrangement of the fight song that the band played at home games during halftime in the 1960s. Wolman's push to popularize the fight song flew under the radar, however, and in 1969 the Sound of Brass band was discontinued. The song came back into light in 1997, when Bobby Mansure, founder of an unofficial Eagles pep band, asked team management to allow the band to play in the parking lot during home games. Management gave Mansure's pep band an audition, allowing them to play at two preseason games to gauge fan reaction. The song went over so well that Mansure and the band retained a permanent position as the official Philadelphia Eagles Pep Band.In 1998, following Mansure's reintroduction of the song, Eagles management attempted to rebuild its popularity among fans by changing some aspects of the song: they modified the key, changed the opening lyric from Fight, Eagles Fight to Fly, Eagles Fly, and re-marketed the song with that as the title. In addition, they appended the popular E-A-G-L-E-S chant—which had emerged in the 1980s—to the end of the song. While management planned to play the song throughout the 1998 season, the Eagles' poor performance that year caused them to hold off reintroducing the song until the following year. The Eagles fared better during their 1999 season, and subsequently, the fight song was played after every score.

While management planned to play the song throughout the 1998 season, the Eagles' poor performance that year caused them to hold off reintroducing the song until the following year. The Eagles fared better during their 1999 season, and subsequently, the fight song was played after every score.

Alto Saxophone,Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1182606 By Dirk Quinn Band. By Charles Borrelli and Roger Courtland. Arranged by Marcony Carvalho. 20th Century,March,Patriotic,Traditional. Score and part. 2 pages. Zedas Couve #782353. Published by Zedas Couve (A0.1182606). Choral Choir,Choral (SSA) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.881162 By Rachel Platten. By Dave Bassett and Rachel Platten. Arranged by Rebecca (Boo) de Bruin. Pop. 6 pages. Rebecca de Bruin #3879389. Published by Rebecca de Bruin (A0.881162). Words and Music by Rachel Platten and David Bassett. Arranged in 2016 by Rebecca (Boo) de Bruin. 6 pages for Sweet Adelines (ladies' barbershop) quartet. (Tenor, lead, baritone, bass are roughly equivalent to SSAA). Please note: in keeping with normal barbershop practice the men's barbershop voicing names are used (tenor, lead, baritone and bass) and an octave-shifted bass clef is used for the baritone and bass parts. Fight Song was recorded in 2015 by Rachel Platten. It peaked at number 6 in the Billboard 100 chart, and also topped the charts in the UK . This arrangement was written for a chorus of young women, and as such the ranges are relatively narrow. It is suitable for middle school / high school groups (although might be better sung in G than F for particularly young voices), with a positive, self-empowering message.  Vocal ranges are:Tenor (S1): F4 - D5 (F above middle C to D above high C)Lead (S2): A3 - D5 (A below middle C to D above high C) - However, until the last two bars, the lowest note is a middle C. By swapping the baritone and lead parts at the end, it would be possible to keep this part on middle C and above.Baritone (A1): A3 - Bb4 (A below middle C to Bb above middle C)Bass: F3 - G4 (F below middle C to G above middle C)
