Piano Solo - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1272977 Composed by Claude Francois, Jacques Revaux, and Lucien Thibaut. Arranged by J.F.A. Multicultural,Pop,Singer/Songwriter,Standards,Traditional,World. Score. 5 pages. Jhavilah #865165. Published by Jhavilah (A0.1272977). Comme d'Habitude is a French song composed in 1967 by Jacques Revaux, with lyrics by Claude François and Gilles Thibaut. The song is about routine in a relationship falling out of love. Here are some more details about the song:The song was originally written as a ballad named For Me with English lyrics about a couple falling out of love. The demo was then sent to Petula Clark, Dalida, and Claude François, but it was rejected. Jacques Revaux rejected a version by Hervé Villard and reworked the track into Comme d'Habitude with the help of Claude François. François accepted but asked that an underlying theme of a couple in a strained relationship be included, in reference to his recent breakup with fellow French singer France Gall. With some rewriting from Gilles Thibaut, the song became Comme d'habitude in its best-known version in French, which was released by Claude François in 1968. The song became a hit in France and was later covered by many artists, including Frank Sinatra, who released it as My Way with English lyrics by Paul Anka. Comme d'Habitude has become a classic French song and has been covered by many artists in French and other languages. Overall, Comme d'Habitude is a classic French song that has become a beloved standard in the world of pop music. It showcases the songwriting talents of Jacques Revaux, Claude François, and Gilles Thibaut, as well as the emotional depth and resonance of the song's themes. The song has been covered by several artists and has become a timeless classic that continues to be celebrated by music lovers around the world.

Flute,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.533397 Composed by Therese Brenet. Concert,Contemporary,Standards. Score and part. 30 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #2894443. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533397). A sonata in three movements for flute and piano: I. EphémèreII. La lune s'éteignitIII. Miroirs The sonata lasts aproximately 13 minutes. Thérèse BRENET, born 22 October 1935 in Paris, France began her musical studies at a very early age, receiving her first prize in Piano from the Conservatoire de Reims. At the Paris Conservatory, her prinicipal teachers were Jean Rivier, Darius Milhaud, Maurice Duruflé, Noël Gallon and Henri Dutilleux and she obtained First Prizes in Harmony, Counterpoint, and Fugue. She finished her studies in 1965, receiving a First Prize in Orchestration, A First Prize with highest honors in Composition and the First Grand Prix de Rome in musical composition. She also won the Halphen Prize for Composition and the Fugue, a grant from the Coplay Foundation of Chigaco and was named honorable member of the National Academy of History of Reims. In 1971, she received the Stéphane Chapelier-Clergue-Gabriel Marie Prize from the SACEM and in 1973, the Silver Medal from the City of Paris. After her stay at the French Academy at the Villa Médicis in Rome, Thérèse Brenet undertook several post-graduate voyages for study, notably to Poland. Upon her return in Paris in 1970, she was immediately named to the Faculty of the Paris Conservatory (CNSMD de Paris) where she also was frequently part of the juries for music theory and composition, as well as electroacoustical music.Thérèse Brenet receiving her definitive SACEM membership from Georges Auric She retired from the Paris Conservatory in 2000 and has since devoted her time to musical composition. She uses both tonal and atonal musical language, which she uses to suit her personal style. Her works are strongly influenced by literature, by painting and by science (especially astronomy). She believes that a composer should use all technical means at his or her disposal and use them rather than be used by them. Her first commission from the French National Radio, Clamavit, for Narrator, Chorus and Orchestra which was premièred by the Orchestre Lyrique de l'O.R.T.F., under the direction of André Girard, with Michel Bouquet as the Narrator, was selected to represent France in the Composer's Forum of 'U.N.E.S.C.O., and was performed in many countries. Many other works have also been performed outside of France in countries such as Switzerland, England, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, the former Yugoslavia, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Libya, Canada, Uruguay, Japan and the United States etc...

Piano,Viola - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1493034 Composed by Clémence de Grandval. Arranged by Paul Wehage. 19th Century,Chamber,Classical,Romantic Period. Score and part. 33 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #1069724. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.1493034). Maria-Félicie-Clémence de Grandval (1828–1907) was born on January 28, 1828 at Saint-Rémy-des-Monts, France and died on January 15, 1907 in Paris. After the death of her mother, Louise Adèle du Temple de Mésières, her father the Baron de Reiset, a military officer remarried with an Englishwoman and moved his family to London. After beginning her musical studies privately, she studied the piano with the German composer Friedrich von Flotow, who was a family friend. Returning to France, she studied the piano briefly with Chopin and composition with Camille Saint-Saëns, who remember their first meeting: “I was 12 when I heard the vicomtesse de Grandval for the first time, who was 18. It was at a musical morning concert at the home of the violinist de Cuvillon. She sang a song of her own composition ‚La Source, in which she accompanied herself. I was struck by the fluidity of her playing, which purely and without useless inflections, was quite close to my way of viewing music. This unified and tranquil style came out of her studies with Chopin.” Camille Saint-Saëns: Quelques mots sur l’exécution des œuvres de Chopin, in: “Le courrier musical de Paris” 13 [1910], S. 386). At first writing mostly sacred music, most of her public success was due to her comic operas: la Comtesse Eva, la Pénitente, Piccolino and Mazeppa. She also wrote orchestral music, chamber music, and over 60 songs (to poets such as Sully Prudhomme, Michel Carré, Henri Meilhac, Georges Hartmann, Charles Grandmougin and Louis Gallet.) She is chiefly known today for her music for wind instruments, especially for the oboe.
