These parts are included with the choral score.Above all, it's fairly easy to learn and fun to sing!The clarinet and trombone parts are a lot of fun and the trumpet part features an easily playable/adaptable ending that nails the piece (actually the lower version is really nice). Plus, with the single exception of swinging the eighth note pairs, there’s no improvisation required here. He was its leading musical exponent and a seminal influence on modern music. The aim of Impressionism was to reflect mood, which Debussy did with the use of unusual chords and modes which nevertheless progress unerringly through evocative landscapes to peaks of tension. Careful attention to form gives impalpable sentiments a sense of direction and completion. The excerpt 'Golaud's Letter' from early in Debussy's only opera, the hugely influential ‘Pelleas and Melisande’, demonstrates this, and exhibits his masterful expression of mood and drama. Exquisite without being flowery, forceful but not overblown, the Letter's spoken voice recitative style is a natural accompaniment to the Letter's contents, while it accentuates the arrival of cadences.

A collection of pieces from the music composed by Antonio Gervasoni in 2006 for a setting of the play Los árboles mueren de pie (Trees die standing tall) by Spanish playwright Alejandro Casona. Comedy, drama, suspense and romance are all mixed up in this play that tells a heartbreaking story about love and the courage to face life’s hardest blows. Although this set of pieces was written with Casona’s play in mind, it can certainly be used as incidental music for any other tragicomedy, in which case, the pieces may have to be adapted accordingly. This score has been designed so that it serves also as the part for the keyboard player. This would let him assume the role of music director and thus ensure that the music is synchronized with the action and dialogues. All other parts have been included after the score of the final movement. Note: being that the play is in Spanish, the score and all the texts in it are also in Spanish.

Here for the first time is my sheet music arrangement for this classic from long ago. Before he was famous, George was what was known as a song plugger. He would play newly composed songs to help generate record sales. In the early 20th century, many homes had player pianos. George's performance was preserved on such a roll and is only now available to the general public.Composed in 1918 by John W. Collette. The phrase “blowing bubbles” symbolizes the act of chasing dreams, hopes, and aspirations. Just like soap bubbles that float away and disappear, dreams can be elusive, fleeting, and transient. Published by Frank Pugh (A0.942719). The title of Dandelion Wind comes from watching the white seeds blow off of a dandelion head in a strong breeze. Once in motion, the seeds travel with the wind until they come to a final resting place on the ground below. This piece flows along in that vein of a seedling's windblown journey.Although two marimbas were used in the sound file, the piece works equally well with vibraphones, xylophones, or a vibe/xylo/marimba mix. It has a slight Celtic feel to it, and it comes in at just over 1:30 if played at the minimum suggested tempo. It's a great choice for your percussion ensemble or to showcase a pair of mallet players in your program. So, let's see how far they can be layered, stretched, and interwoven to create some nicely contrasting harmonic and melodic colors. OK, it Might take a BIT more work that the title suggests. Irony is IN right now... The saxes state the theme in octave unison, while the brass comment and accompany. Then the saxes take over for a full chorus of soli. None of the phrases is more than three measures in length, so the players can blow through without blowing themselves out. The soloists are the trumpet, accompanied by a trombone background, and the piano, with saxophones behind it. SampleSolos are provided. The trumpet shows how Woody Shaw might have played this piece with pentatonic scales, a bit of a contrast to the tonal nature of the changes. The piano has a rapid, multi-noted solo with lots of chromatics, with fingerings, to show what the Tatum-style of pianistic technique is all about. Running time is just over 4 mins at suggested tempo. The rhythm section Uni-Part is included with every GateWay Edition Jazz Ensemble Series chart. Drum part is notated as heard on the audio clip.
