String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Digital Download SKU: A0.1110209 By The Eagles. By Don Henley, Glenn Frey, and Randy Meisner. Arranged by Jeff Perholtz. Rock. Score and parts. 7 pages. Fab Forward Entertainment #712544. Published by Fab Forward Entertainment (A0.1110209). Eagles - Take It To The Limit (For String Quartet to accompany a Rock Band) This arrangement of the Eagles classic Take It To The Limit is great for rock bands that want to perform with a full background ensemble. Throw away the phony keyboard patches and perform with real human beings! This arrangement should be used to accompany a band performing the song as it was originally recorded. Instead of fading out as the album version does, the ending of this arrangement follows the ending from the Eagles Live album released in 1980. Includes individual parts and master score. Piano, guitar, bass, vocal & drum parts are not included.

Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1133711 By Various. By Anonymous, Giorgio Mainerio, Michael Praetorius, Pierre Attaignant, Pierre Certon, Pierre Phalese, and Tielman Susato. Arranged by Alastair Lodge. Early Music,Folk,Historic,Medieval,Renaissance. 50 pages. Wold Meridian #733808. Published by Wold Meridian (A0.1133711). This is a companion to my earlier volume Chording to the Dance Masters which presented 44 of my favourite Renaissance Dance band tunes and arranged them as a single melody line with chords derived from the original harmony lines. In this volume I have reunited 22 of the pieces with the lower parts in the score, so that with more collaborators, the fullness of the original arrangement can be heard. The chords are still present, so if the ensemble is short handed, and lines are missing, the arrangements will still work. What is more, by contrasting the melody and chords with the full scoring, it should be possible to work some light and shade into performances. You can hear all the pieces and their chords on YouTube together with contemporary art and historical background material:https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYRWH2nycMkMoIoEYEMVPa_EXY6NVDpNSAs a help to those less confident in playing harmony lines, I have provided links to playlists of videos online for each part of each piece. You will hear the selected line on its own with chords and percussion, with the melody line added on repeats. The final repeat includes the other harmony lines, but the featured line is slightly louder in the mix. The performance starts with a percussion beat introduction to set the tempo.Who were the Publishers and the Dance Masters? What did they do? Sometime around the 1500s, the popularity of dance music exploded in Europe. Dance Masters were collecting chansons and dance tunes from courts and rural parts and were teaching these to new audiences, spreading their arrangements and reflecting the performance styles of the areas from which they had collected the tunes. Publishers were able to take these tunes that were becoming known across the regions and nations and spread them even more widely, thanks to technological innovations in music printing which made it quicker and therefore cheaper to produce collections of these dances in four or more parts. These publishers were often highly accomplished composers in their own right, who were both able to provide distinctive harmony lines and compose new tunes in the style of their sources, feeding the courts with enduring tunes. Composers and printers of this time would often use note values that are double the length of those we would be used to seeing today, and so to make this version more readable, breves have become semibreves or whole notes, semibreves have become minims or half notes and so on. Working with this publication For those just starting out in Early Music, the volume is an ideal introduction, since the ensemble can build from a soloist with accompaniment with the chords alone, and parts can be added in as additional musicians become available. Instrumentation for these pieces was not specified in the original prints. The range of each part is quite limited, and though the harmonies may seem strange at times, key signatures are kind to the less experienced musician. If enthusiasm takes hold, then reproductions of early music instruments are sold by some very talented makers, as well as coming up on auction sites. Otherwise, it is possible to put together a fairly convincing ensemble with recorders, violins, a cello and mandolins, bouzoukis, flutes or guitars and gradually introduce the authentic instruments as they become available.

C Instrument - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1419147 By The Eagles. By Don Henley, Glenn Frey, and Randy Meisner. Arranged by Ian Fitze. Country,Folk,Pop,Rock,Standards. Lead Sheet / Fake Book. 2 pages. Ian Fitze #1000577. Published by Ian Fitze (A0.1419147). Visit my website at IAN FITZE MUSICAL ARRANGEMENTS for a complete catalogue of my works including FREE DOWNLOADS.This lead sheet is designed for experienced musicians who are looking for an easy-to-read lead sheet that gives the outline of the song. The melody has been simplified to make the lead sheet more readable. In most cases your vocalist will be performing from memory based on the recording. The original backing vocals are quite involved, so most performances will just inclue one or two improvised parts sung in the spirit of the original track.A NOTE ABOUT THE KEY: in every version of this tune that I could find (except the Miley Cyrus), the guitars play in G. The version given with Randy Meisner singing lead is in B major - guitars playing CAPO 4. Apparently, singing this tune live (with the soaring ad lib vocals at the end) ended up being too taxing for Randy Meisner and legend has it that disagreements about performing it live (at least in part) ended up with him leaving the group. When Glen Frey sang this in the 2000's and 2010's he did it in G as written here. When Vince Gill sang this in the 2020's he did it in A major - guitars playing CAPO 2.I reccomend using G or A major - a female singer might want to do it in C major (like the Miley Cyrus version). https://youtu.be/KI7YNyL-nt8?si=pCAQXZowUYxDTqa9.

Choral Choir (SAB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1120365 By Philip Le Bas. By J-B Lully / G Bizet. Arranged by Philip Le Bas. Christmas,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Traditional. Octavo. 8 pages. Philip Le Bas #721616. Published by Philip Le Bas (A0.1120365). A new arrangement by Philip Le Bas of a thirteenth century French Christmas carol from Provence harmonized by Jean-Baptiste Lully (1632-87, attrib.) and, more famously, by Georges Bizet (1838-75, in his L'Arlesienne Suite of 1872.) In France the melody is still tightly associated with Christmas, and French audiences start singing their own Christmas words whenever they hear the melody (the arranger has heard it himself!) The English translation used here is adapted from a variety of sources. The three kings (or more precisely the magi from St Matthew's gospel) are seen marching towards Bethlehem with their fantastic golden wealth and grandeur. But why are they going to see a low-born baby and why do they worship this child who will die on a cross? The organ sets the scene from the beginning with its marching accompaniment, and the first verse is sung in unison by all three parts. The second begins with a canon, as used by Bizet, and then breaks into harmony. The first section of the third verse is much quieter and legato, sung by the sopranos and altos, using wonderful chromatic harmonies based on another section from Bizet's suite. The lyrics express wonder at the beautiful music heard from the camp of the kings. The second section, sung in differentiated unison then begins to wonder why the kings stoop so low to a baby in a manger. Finally the fourth verse, sung in full harmony, returns to the marching accompaniment and reiterates the amazement of meeting these kings with their mysterious mission. The carol is aimed at parish choirs with limited resources, but a good organist. The melody is well-known, much of it is in unison, and other sections are relatively easy to sing. Care should however should be taken to sing the dotted rhythms accurately - this is what gives the carol its marching character.

Clarinet Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.939960 By Laura Brannigan. By Candy Derouge and Gunther Mende. Arranged by Jan Shé. Contemporary,Pop. Individual part. 8 pages. Jan She #2998933. Published by Jan She (A0.939960). Wondering what clarinet music to play at that wedding, that party, that concert, or that event? Did you think of playing Power of Love but didn’t have the time to transcribe, transpose, and arrange it for the clarinet?A pop standard popularized by Air Supply, Celine Dion, and Jennifer Rush, this song is well-loved around the world for its big romantic emotion. Now a clarinetist can easily play it with rock band, jazz band, or any other kind of band, or just piano.Since this is a lead sheet, the sky's the limit in terms of your interpretations! This lead sheet in Bb comes with a lead sheet in C for those folks accompanying the clarinet.A great song for students and schools as well as polished professionals.Even works great for church services of any denomination, since the topic is very generally about love. The Air Supply music video even ends in a church. If you want to take your performance of Power of Love to the next level, take a cue from Air Supply and Celine Dion and be very free with the rhythm of the melody towards the beginning. Then get more and more steady with the rhythm towards the end of the song.A huge hit in the 80s, this song made a big comeback with Celine Dion in the 90s. She has used the song in all her tours since then. It’s a pop standard.Duration: 4 minutes 17 seconds.Member of ASCAP.Contact arranger and composer Jan Shé at his website www.JanShe.com.

Concert Band - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.886128 Composed by Jason McChristian. Contemporary. Score and parts. 61 pages. Jason Gary McChristian #553001. Published by Jason Gary McChristian (A0.886128). This work is comprised of three series, each series contains four issues. It may be performed in a number of different ways; each issue or series may be performed separately or, the entire work, consisting of twelve issues and a Prologue, may be performed as a whole. In its entirety, the running time of Strange Myths and Wondrous Images is approximately forty-five minutes. Each issue represents an element: either an archetype, place, or an emotion, commonly found in comic book stories. As a whole, Strange Myths and Wondrous Images tells a particular story arc, one that is intentionally void of specific details, inviting the listener to imagine the particulars. Each series also contains its own sub-plot and emotional progression, while the formal structure suggests the traditional symphonic form. Each issue has a duration of three to four minutes, limited to a small, but intensely expressive amount of thematic material. The challenge inherent in this limitation was to create enough contrast, yet not so much as to require more time to resolve it, therefore, each issue is self-contained. The Sage - ...A CALL FOR AID ECHOES ACROSS TIME AND SPACE. KNOWING THE STAKES, THE WISE-ONE PREPARES TO TAKE HER PLACE IN THE CHAOS.

B-Flat Trumpet,Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1080679 Composed by Alex Lewis and Eddie Lewis. Classical,Multicultural,World. Score and part. 9 pages. Tiger Music #684898. Published by Tiger Music (A0.1080679). Southwest Sunrise Trumpet Solo Eddie Lewis and Alex Lewis MTR P111 4137 Southwest Sunrise is a trumpet solo for beginner trumpet students that has a more complicated piano part. I often get requests for music for students of different skill levels. And in fact, that’s what of my strengths as a writer, is that I can blend parts across skill levels that way. In this case, Alex and I were striving for something that would be interesting for the pianist, but not overly challenging for the beginner trumpet student. The Process The inspiration for this piece came to me on a morning walk in Chandler, Arizona. Chandler is a suburb of Phoenix. I was walking east, into the rising sun. It was a very simple melody. It was a very simple blues melody that I immediately recognized as something that would work in our series for beginner trumpet students. This was during a time when my son, Alex, and I were already collaborating on some other projects. For this piece, I gave Alex the melody and gave him a general description of what I was hearing. Then I gave him his space to create what sounded good to him. The next stage was me editing some of his creativity. At this point we went back and forth on a few issues until we agreed on the final results. SKILL LEVEL The skill level for Southwest Sunrise is Trumpet Pioneer (we don’t have skill levels for piano parts yet on this website). Trumpet Pioner is the first of seven levels in our system. These are absolute beginners who have only been playing the trumpet for a few months. Our Trumpet Pioneer level limits the range to C in the staff. We also limit rhythms to nothing smaller than quarter-notes, and key signatures are limited to one flat or sharp. Practice Recommendations While it is obvious and I don’t normally list it as a point in this practice recommendations, but the rhythms are very different between the trumpet part and the trumpet part. So it is even MORE important to spend time listening to the composition long before you begin practicing it. As I said, this is a good habit for working on all performance pieces. There is research that proves that students learn their music best when they recognize their mistakes soonest. When you listen to the music repeatedly before you practice, it goes a long way towards helping you recognize your mistakes. This is one of the most important reasons for listening, but there are others that I won’t go into here. Assuming the pianist is far more advanced than the trumpeter, the pianist should assume a patient, educational role.
