Appassionatango is a work written in the style of tango nuevo. It lasts approximately 8'30 and consists of 4 interconnected episodes that reflect the various passionate characteristics of this music: fiery and rhythmic (episode 1), fast-paced and captivating (episode 2), nostalgic and melancholic (episode 3), a synthesis and amalgamation of themes explored throughout the piece culminating in a virtuosic and explosive finale (episode 4). It's a piece filled with emotion, energy, and changes in character that wonderfully capture the essence of tango nuevo passion!

Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet,Soprano Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.876763 Composed by Adrienne Albert (ASCAP). Contemporary,Jazz,Latin. Score and parts. 10 pages. Adrienne Albert #4991111. Published by Adrienne Albert (A0.876763). L.A. Tango Nuevo combines a rock rhythmic ostinato with elements of lyricism. The rhythmic backdrop set by the guitar from the onset is driving; taking advantage of the guitar's percussive abilities and nuance. The soprano saxophone melody floats above the guitar in a care-free, yet lyrical melody. The development section of the piece is reminiscent of tango through the single note arpeggiated guitar accompaniment and melodic content of the soprano saxophone. At the return of the A section, LA Tango Nuevo drives to the end with energy and excitment. Available on the album, Tangos y Serenatas, on Centaur.

Piano - intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q7338 Composed by Peter Ludwig. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Duration 24 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q7338. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q7338).

Score. 3 pages. Juan Carlos Cortés Aguirre #722156. Published by Juan Carlos Cortés Aguirre (A0.1120966).

String Quintet Cello,Double Bass,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1198846 Composed by Adrian Varela. Chamber,Classical,Contest,Festival,Latin,Multicultural,World. 28 pages. Adrian Varela #797934. Published by Adrian Varela (A0.1198846). 'Tango 41' is a tango double-fugue & groove incorporating motifs from the last movement of Mozart's symphony no.41 in C, 'Jupiter'. Mozart's work is famous for its rotating canon at the end. This tango goes one better: it is a tango fugue, and at the recap does a double fugue piling the tango theme and Mozart's on top of each other. The body of the track is a tango groove in the 'nuevo tango' style. The coda builds to a Mahler-evoking frightening climax, unwinding, and surprising to the nasty end. The middle section is a 'Gato', an Argentine folk-music which is, like much Latin American folk music, both in 6/8 and 3/4 simultaneously.'Tango 41' was originally composed as the first movement of 'Danzas Fantasticas', a 3-movement work for large orchestra and female voice.

David McKeown #5792863. Published by David McKeown (A0.588836). Tango d’Elinora is an exciting original composition by David McKeown, arranged as a duet for one Flute and one Violin. This duet is written in the style of early twentieth century Tango music. Tango first appeared as in the late nineteenth century in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but it wasn’t long before the dance craze spread to North America and Europe. Performers like Carlos Gardel were the international superstars of their day. More recently the Nuevo Tango of Astor Piazzolla and others has pushed the boundaries and ensured that Tango is still a vibrant art form today. If you play to an intermediate standard and upwards, then you and your audience will enjoy this piece. Rhythms should be lightly articulated with the first beat in the bar always strong; the melody should always flow and following the articulation in the score will help convey the style. Flute Duet Flute - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.588862 Composed by David McKeown. 20th Century,Concert,Latin,World. Score. 6 pages. David McKeown #5792865. Published by David McKeown (A0.588862). Tango d’Elinora is an exciting original composition by David McKeown, arranged as a duet for two Flutes. Tango d’Elinora has a performance time of just under three minutes.
