Instrumental Duet Instrumental Duet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.589561 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by David McKeown. Jewish,Wedding,World. Score and parts. 4 pages. David McKeown #6078951. Published by David McKeown (A0.589561). Odessa Bulgar is a Jewish Folk tune, often performed by Klezmer musicians. This version is arranged as a duet for one Violin and one Viola. For many traditional Klezmer tunes, the first clues of their existence comes from bands making discs at the dawn of the recording era. In this case, Odessa Bulgar first appeared in a 1919 recording by Abe Schwartz’s Orchestra. Schwartz was born in Romania and emigrated to the USA around 1900, thereafter enjoying a long career in the music industry. Odessa Bulgar is a happy piece designed for dancing at celebrations. Odessa Bulgar is simply arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. The melody is in three sections; overall the tune is played twice with a coda and with constant variations in the accompaniment. Odessa Bulgar is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above. With a performance time of around two and a half minutes, this version of Odessa Bulgar is perfect for weddings, celebrations and concert performances, both formal and informal. Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1194602 By Hanka Ordonowna. By Henry Vars. Arranged by Marek Czekala. 20th Century,Film/TV. Score. 3 pages. Marek Czekala #793909. Published by Marek Czekala (A0.1194602). Love will forgive you everything - the song was written in 1933, the music was composed by Henryk Wars, and the words were written by Julian Tuwim (under the pseudonym Oldlen). The song was a hit in interwar Poland and remains so to this day. The song was written especially for the film The Spy in the Mask, which enjoyed a record attendance in cinemas. It was sung by Hanka Ordonówna and soon the song became her artistic showcase. Later, Ordonówna often resembled a song in the Małe Qui Pro Quo theater. The piece performed by Ordonówna was recorded on the Syrena-Electro label, which was very popular at the time. The publisher's circulation reached tens of thousands of copies, and the discs with this recording were pressed for almost six years due to the constant interest in the song.

Voice and/or different Instruments - easy - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q54940 An anthology of music from around the world. This edition: score for voice and/or instruments. Downloadable, Vocal and performing score. Schott Music - Digital #Q54940. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q54940). English.World Sound Matters is a fully-integrated anthology of music from around the world, the entire series comprising: 2 compact discs of 58 traditional music recordings (ED 12572), representing 35 different countries - notated transcriptions of each recorded example (ED 12571), and a teacher’s book containing explanatory texts covering the special context of each style and its musical content , with 2 sets of progressive pupil listening-based questions for each musical style (ED 12460). Suitable for use at GCSE and A level. Each unit is free-standing and can be used effectively on its own. Alternatively, multiple units can be combined, in any order, to provide an Introduction to the musical traditions of the world. The music incorporated in World Sound Matters has been carefully selected and prepared by the author in consultation with other music specialists and professionals actively engaged in music education. Two aims have been paramount: on the one hand, readers need analyses of a wide range of musical traditions which are both authoritative and yet remain accessible to the non-specialist; on the other hand, the many musicians whose work appears on the sound recording deserve a thorough and sympathetic study which neither cheapens nor dilutes their artistry. The result is a publication which should be of practical use to a wide range of musicians, from secondary school teachers to their pupils, from adults interested in knowing more about world music to music students wishing to specialize in this field, and to composers.
